No, we love you Big F, and giving us all a chance to play scriptwriter in your absolutely wonderful RP. It's your world, we're just players paying rent. Wink

Oh BTW, Pygmalion helped me on the wording of my last RP post this morning. It's always good when those more awake than you watch your back. Wink

Juvenile Angel, I just want to say that I find myself liking Julia more with each post you write. She's a great foil to Snake, as she's very patient and stern, whereas Snake is a little.. well, I'm not trying to be mean, because I like Snake, but he tends to rush into things. They're a great pair, and I'm curious to find out their whole backstory eventually.

Anyway.. things ought to get interesting after Vera and Alan get away.

Ditto for the interesting part. As for the part about me, thank you for the compliment, and I'm waiting for Xel and Big F to make their next move. lol. If I do post before either of them, however, I will give a little more on Julia; it's up to snakemarcato13 to reveal Snake's past. lol, yes as you can tell, he does rush into things. I made Julia like that to balance both Snake and myself out, since Julia's almost my opposite, so it's posing a challenge for me.

Great job everyone, this is turning out real interesting. Big F, I did understand this:

quote:
What I meant to say was that, since everyone does have their own perception on what is happening, things do become disjointed as people continually post. It starts to become harder to figure out the chronological order of things (since people may not have a chance to post and had intended to do something earlier, as well as instances where people intended to do other things then one of the other roleplayers had written them in as doing.) What I meant to say was that after all that had happened, stryker mananged to put it together in a way that took everyone's posts and hooked them together in a way that made sense and didn't leave out a single thing, while still maintaining the unique flavor of each one.

Sadly, but anyway, yes stryker does tie everything together nicely, especially mine. I keep trying to post something earlier, but I'm never on in time, so yeah, he ties it nicely.

I totally didn't get that impression! I have no idea where you got the idea that we got that impression (well...ok I don't...)!

Oh, you tease! But I was just pondering what you were up to. This promises to be a terrific RP for weeks to come, and hopefully, months and years! Like a never ending story!

I've been up to a lot to tell you the truth! College, you know?Big Grin None the less, I'm still following this and can't wait to see what happens. I think we all understand our roles and this is just like an extended episode of Big O! (I still need to pick up the last DVD and the video store I just found didn't have it...Frown )

Wow! A never ending story! This could prove interestingBig Grin . I do think we'll have enough stuff to keep this going for a LONG time to come!

Major props to Big F for starting this (I think we've said this many times)!

Oh, please. Where would I be without you guys? What would my two characters be doing?

============================================

A dreary room. Alex is sitting at a table. He has two cheaply made hand puppets on; one of Roger, one of Alan. They talk in extremely squeaky parodies of their inspiration's voices.

Alan-Puppet: Heehee! I've got you now, Roger Smith!

Roger-Puppet: Alan Gabriel!

Alan-Puppet: Heehee! That's right!

Roger-Puppet: You freak!

The puppets fight it out, bumping into each other. After a bit, the Alan-puppet starts doing unspeakable things.

Alan-Puppet: Heeheehee!

Roger-Puppet: Hey, what are you doing?

Alan-Puppet: Smoochy smoochy!

Roger-Puppet: Aah! Get away from me!

Alex: I'm a sad, sad little man.

Uhm, well... that would be me. I read it over and I thot that maybe I'd put my post in a yucky way, but, eh, I thot it was so silly that there was no way Big Finale would be led to make the post he did, or us to try and assure him by posting like we did... and I'll shut up now. Wink

The never ending story thing, I personally think is entirely doable, since there are a lot of creative fans here, and more to arrive by the day. The RP is kind of like a favorite sports team or the like, with players who come around to join while others retire. I hope that never happens, myself. I want to see Big F managing this team forever, and I sure don't want to retire. Like I say, this board is like home to me now. But whatever comes of us and the RP, I'd like for this thing to be a permanent fixture of it, with a cast continuing to add to the story daily, so that people can come and experience this marvel, and join in the glory of it, indefinitely.

(Hee hee hee!)

*LAUGHS!!!* Oh Big F, you made my day, that was just... perfect, and so very true. I mean... I have to stop doing this, my wording sometimes is like a landmine. Big Grin

I mean to say that this is a lot like a family, where we all get together to share our thoughts, hopes and dreams with each other through our characters, and show off some creativity along the way. And get to live out a fantasy alongside some of the best characters ever to populate an anime world. That's why this is feeling so much like home to me, and why I'm on this board as much as anyplace on the net. I really do love you guys. Embarrassed Sweatdrop

Whoo! I posted something that was probably really boring, but it revealed a little about "my idea" of Julia's past, and why she is so determined to protect Rogera and Emilia. Pleased I'm so proud...not really, but okay. It took a while to do and my eyes hurt now...sorry if I mispelled somethings in the post.

I think it's about time I made a move for Dastun...but I am tired, and I have basically no available time this weekend ~_~ Expect it either late sunday or monday.

Gosh, Stryker, Roger's being awful nice toward Angel! Just promise that he'll let her down gently when he realizes that his affections really lie with the perpetually foul-tempered android. Wink
stryker 09-11-2004 10:47 AM
*laughs!* I know. Actually that's kind of funny and sad at the same time, because just like you, I think Angel is the perfect girl for our intrepid Negotiator, but realize that his heart is fated to belong to Dorothy - yes, another die hard Roger-Dorothy fan, as if you couldn't tell from my fic. I'm looking forward to a few angsty scenes in the coming days as Roger runs into this dilemma face first. Wink

That'll be fun, since angsty's my kinda thing. Baby Let's see what ya can do, stryker! This'll be good!

Well, I'm all about angst, as if you couldn't tell from how melodramatic my posts get at times. Wink I feel so conflicted, because on the one hand, I am a devoted Roger/Dorothy fan, but.. I relate to Angel. I know what it's like to feel so strongly and desperately towards someone, only to realize that they're connected to someone else in a way you can't even begin to comprehend.. and it's heartbreaking. Your entire world falls out from underneath you. So, in that respect, I feel so badly for Angel and I wish so much that there were some way it could work out for her and Roger.. but it can't. And that's the saddest thing about this show to me, how Angel gets left out in the cold.

So, let her down easy, yes? A little gentler than he did in "Stripes", anyway. Roll Eyes The louse.

You reflect my feelings so perfectly! I'm very much involved in these people, and I love Angel and Dorothy both, in different ways, but very deeply. And like you I want Angel to be loved, but knowing it can't be Roger, not in that way. When we get to the point that Roger and Angel are getting emotionally entangled and then Roger hits that moment of Truth when he realizes he loves two women and has to make a choice, I think I'll send you what I write. I want that scene to be a real dialog, and not some back and forth post thing. That sort of thing works well in this setting when people are facing off and battling each other, but I don't want to guess what's in Angel's mind and heart. So we can write it together and make it a real scene. What say?

*laughs* And I'll try to keep Roger awkward but a little less lousy. Wink

Sounds good! I think it'll be more coherent that way, too, so that we don't have to worry about maybe posting at the same time or anything and throwing things off or having them seem disjointed.

Aaaaarg! I'm going to be so anxious/apprehensive/nervous when that starts to come up! Seriously, you guys. You have no idea how strongly I feel about Angel and Roger and Dorothy. I tear my hair out thinking about their situation. I cried for the longest time after the end of episode 26, realizing that Roger had made his choice. Waaah! I'm going to be a ball of mush when we get to that point. Frown

But yes! Writing together sounds like a good idea. Smile )
stryker 09-11-2004 08:56 PM
Poor thing... I'm not as deep into it as you are, but I do love that girl a lot. They do have to go thru some heartache, but we can help them thru it together.

XEL!! PLEASE POST!! You're driving us crazy!! Big Grin
Tifaria 09-11-2004 09:02 PM
LOL! I must come off as completely insane. I'll try and keep my raging fangirlishness in check from now on. Big Grin

Well, it's no worse than my obsession with Eponine.

...no, really, you guys have no idea. Sweatdrop

Anyway, the dialogue idea is certainly a very good idea...pen and I agreed to use a similar strategy when Mr. and Mrs. Seebach meet up (which will happen...eventually...when both of us get around to posting Tongue ).

I second stryker...Xel is really killing me with the suspense...and hopefully I'll be able to post my Seebach/Norman post sometime in the next year. Wink
stryker 09-11-2004 09:47 PM
*laughs* You don't know me either. This is funny. I'm a romantic softie from way back, and I cry during certain shows, anime and books. There are times in Big O when I cry, such as when Dorothy is begging for Pero to come home with them at the end of Missing Cat, and he slinks off into that burning mansion to die, or when Roger introduces her to Instro, and she's reminiscing about her father, Timothy Wayneright. And many many times during the show. And even tho I didn't at the end of the series, I had a lump in my throat when I realized that Angel wasn't going to have anyone to love her. Frown

I cry at points in my fic, because I invest a lot of myself emotionally into it, bringing it and them to life, and live it with them. I felt as anxious during this RP as you and the others did, because it lives in a way that very few things do. I didn't cry yet, but I felt a lump in my throat many times. Like when Roland Bustems was harrassing poor Snake. Just kidding. Big Grin

In fact I was almost bawling during an Inuyasha RP which I'm slowly turning into a fic with a friend's help because it was so emotionally gripping, and I cry during great pieces of music. So needless to say, no one has anything on me in regard to emotional reactions. Wink
Xel 09-11-2004 10:16 PM
Dude, you guys... just go on without me. I'm utterly swamped with work and I'm deathly ill... I'll catch up later. Alan could easily run off now and it wouldn't hurt a thing, so. Maybe that's best. ^^

Aw, that's no fun.

Uhh... could we post something? Uh... team huddle? What if I scribbled something, and passed it to Finale and Tif and got them to enhance it, and got Xel to finalize it, or they started it, or... something?

I HAVE TO HAVE A BIG SCENE! I NEED CLOSURE!! Big Grin
