Cowboy Bebop-question/Spoilers

I'm sure he's dead also. But I think that if Spike had lived, he wouldn't be the same Spike without Julia being alive. I agree that it's a good and bad ending. Good because Spike is at peace. Bad because we want Spike to be alive.

Exactly, without Spike there can't be that bantering trio that can make a series memorible. Like Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, Spike, Faye and Jet had that same kind of bond.

He's dead...sadly....I agree with what Laughing Bull said was true when he said that his guarden star was fading. Be cause every time Spike talked to him, he seemed to be right about forshadowing events that would happen in the other episodes/movie.

The movie was not in the middle of the series it was inbetween episodes 22 and 23. and that is really close to the end.

And besides...Go here it's the lyrics to Carry That Weight....

What an absurd question. Of course Spike is no more. That ending was obvious and uncompromising. The writers had every intention of Spike dying in that scene. The series really couldn't have ended in a better way then in that last, painful, but beautiful scene.

I'm sure everyone would just love for
spoiler (highlight to read):
Wolfwood to have lived in Trigun, Treize to have survived in Gundam Wing, Master Asia to decide to be a good guy in G Gundam, and Setsuko and Seita stay alive at the end of Grave of the Fireflies.
But that's not how things are all the time. I can imagine how you people will act watching Zeta Gundam, which spares few characters.

Everyone's so hung up on have excessive seasons, happy endings, and alive characters. It's almost as though nobody has heard "less is more". Sometimes a life needs to end, and Spike's star faded. There is no other way.

There cannot be another season of CB, because the character which the underlying storyline is based on is dead. You can't go on with just Jet and Faye. Spike was the main character, and it was obvious from the start.

Stop entertaining such ridiculous notions, and deal with the ending given.

AHEM

spoiler (highlight to read):
Wolfwood is still alive in the Manga

Unless I hear from the creator himself will I know if Spike lives....Or dies Crying

I'm aware of Wolfwood's status in the manga. But I meant for the anime.

As far as word from the "creator" the best I can do is tell you the director Shinichiro Watanabe says he's really dead. At least that's what he said at Anime Expo New York in 2002.

I got him to sign my CB movie poster. Even Toshihiro Kawamoto and Yoko Kanno signed it! Big Grin

Sorry people. About Wolfwood:

spoiler (highlight to read):
He died in the manga as well. The recent issues prove it. Vash buried him. How he died? You should search for yourself.

And Spike dies. If he didn't, it won't be so climatic and well.. plain.

But he died. Seriously. Otherwise the bebop official site won't say it as "End" Tongue

Spikes Died that day. If you fell like searching for the Jet,Faye,Ed pic where they are all dressed in black.
