Cowboy Bebop-question/Spoilers

Spike is dead...Kairi hit the nail on the head...Spikes star fell from the night sky, faded and disappeared...thus he died (I believe the Indian Chief referenced that to Jet in the last episode as well...)
On a side note...The quote "You're Gonna Carry That Weight..."
comes from a Beatles song...it was a lyric put into the song signifying the end of them being a band together, and it was a way to let their fans know what was going on...Obviously the Bebop series revolves a lot around music and the creators were influenced a lot by music. Thus, the LAST episode of Bebop had that quote, signifying the end of a great run...it means the audience is going to have the carry the weight and burden now that the series is over...and just enjoy what Bebop once was...

The Indian Chief mentions this as well...only those with pure intentions or good people receive a guiding star...thus Vicious, with his darkness, didnt ever receive one...and its Spike's start that fell...hence, he's dead...

As much as it would be great that Spike survived, he had to die. He had nothing left to live for anyways. Vicious was dead. Julia was dead. Everyone else he cared for in when he was in the Syndicate was dead. So he had to die too. Just to make it complete, and to end his suffering once and for all.
He told Faye he was going to Vicious to see if he was really alive, not to die. So basically, he just found out that he wasn't really alive after all.
And Vicious is most definitely dead. Spike woudn't have left the rooftop if Vicious were still alive, I don't think. He was there to make sure it was over, once and for all.
Bang!

Vicious actually did have one and it was mentioned in the show. Spike's star was blue, Vicious' star was red, and Gren's star was green. I'm not saying that Vicious is still alive because we didn't see his star fall but he did have one.
p.s.:Vicious and Spike are dead. Deal with it.

Since we're talking so much about death and the last episode, I have a query. When Jet went to talk to spike's spiritual advisor (The one with the sand and tent full of elextronics), he spoke of how death acted. I'd like to use that quote somewhere. To do this, I need the text of what he said, both in english and in japanese if it's different, and I need to know this guy's name. Can anyone help me? If so, message me or post it here. Please do both so I don't lose this thread.

Do not fear death. Death is always at your side. When you show fear, it will spring at you faster than light. If you do not show fear, it will only gently look over you...
thats it yo

I think that the intention of the writers was to have spike die, killing vicious and the red dragons both, on the other hand, for those of you who still believe spike likes, visit this site
http://dragonfly.cox.miami.edu/bebop/wildhorses.html
it has an INCREDIBLY well written fanfiction picking up from ep 26, sort of a next season, lots of charecter development of jet, and his relation to spikes spiritual advisor, (suprising) first chapter is lemon, but nothing after that.
Also has a what if fanfiction, where vicious and spike are half brothers on their mothers side, also INCREDIBLY well written and entirely in charecter(and you see how spike and doohan meet, at least in the authors mind)

Spike's gotta be dead. Otherwise, there would have been a sequel by now.

Thank goodness that there was never a Cowboy Bebop spinoff series, like "Super Hacker Edward Wong Hau Profuluruski IV" (sp)--that would have been really dumb, and thankfully, the designers of the show have respected the deceased; unlike many other popular anime serieses, they didn't desecrate the corpse of the wonderful person that was Cowboy Bebop.

I know many of you instigate that he's dead , It sounds like you want him dead or something , but I'm not trying to sound stupid or anything , I mean all that nonsense about the red star or the green start is Crap !I mean lighten up , Spike has had one of the worst near death Injuries anyone can think of , He fell off a 6 story church building , been shot in the Eye has had a bullet peirced through his Torso , has fallen from a Monorail to the River, and it goes on and on .. I mean it would be considered ,RIDICULOUS ! in My Opinion , Ridiculous . Cause he is a Survivor and that Collapsement does not certify 100% that he is dead . And the only way to assure if Spike Spiegal is Dead is to email the Director Shinichiro Watanabe , that's if he has an Email. I hope there will be another season of Cowboy Bebop .
I was gonna start a post of my own regarding my feelings on the song and show, but since this one was here... ^_^
The song is great. It's happy and sad at once, much like Cowboy Bebop itself. An INCREDIBLE story that I wish would never end. Sadly, it seems to have. I'd love a second season, but...
Don't get me wrong, I most certainly do NOT want Spike to be dead, but it really makes more sense than him somehow still being alive. I love and hate the ending. I personally think that it was a fitting end to the story of Cowboy Bebop, and the story of Spike. He's finally free...
You know, I've never read the manga yet. I've gotta do so soon... MUST HAVE MORE SPIKE SPIEGEL!!! I need the soundtracks too. And I am definitely gonna check out those fanfics. ^__^
Well, that's all for this post. Sayonara, Spike Spiegel.
"Everything is clearer now
Life is just a dream you know
That's never ending
I'm ascending."
SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY ...

What an absurd question. Of course Spike is no more. That ending was obvious and uncompromising. The writers had every intention of Spike dying in that scene. The series really couldn't have ended in a better way then in that last, painful, but beautiful scene.
I'm sure everyone would just love for
| spoiler (highlight to read): |
| Wolfwood to have lived in Trigun, Treize to have survived in Gundam Wing, Master Asia to decide to be a good guy in G Gundam, and Setsuko and Seita stay alive at the end of Grave of the Fireflies. |
But that's not how things are all the time. I can imagine how you people will act watching Zeta Gundam, which spares few characters.
Everyone's so hung up on have excessive seasons, happy endings, and alive characters. It's almost as though nobody has heard "less is more". Sometimes a life needs to end, and Spike's star faded. There is no other way.
There cannot be another season of CB, because the character which the underlying storyline is based on is dead. You can't go on with just Jet and Faye. Spike was the main character, and it was obvious from the start.
Stop entertaining such ridiculous notions, and deal with the ending given.

SPIKE DIES
Seriously, he gets beat up more in the last 10 minutes of Session 26 than at any other time in the series. I also hear that if you get sliced in the gut, you're dead in a few minutes without immediate medical attention.
