Not really.....But I just got the 4th volume of the All new Tenchi Muyo manga. And you know how they have the american editer page. Well he was talking about the talk people were having on forums about having a live action Tenchi. Some of them were strange....But two stood out.....Shila LeBuff As Tenchi and Chuck Norris as Yosho....if you think about it....those two would work.
But What I really don't get is If they do make a Liveaction movie, how will they get Washu's and Ryoko's hair look like their hair. Will they aquanet them up and make them have really big hair? or will they just spike it or leave them normal and dye it? I mean, Sassami's, Ayeka's ETC. styles are all posible, but Washu's and Ryoko's arn't that's where this hits a dead end.
But anyway feel free to cast your own casts....here's mine I know it's stupid!

I would say MAry-Kate and/or Ashly Olsen 10 years ago as Sassami.
The rest of the cast could be a bunch of unknowns who become super famous affterward like the cast of Top Gun.

Tenchi In Tokyo had to be my least favorite. Tenchi Universe was the one I liked most. Im not sure why I liked that one more that the OVA but when I look back on them thats the one that stands out most.

Hmm...I didn't mind Ayeka all that much. She could be sweet...(when she wanted to, of course

My favorite Tenchi series (of the ones I've watched) would probably be the OVA...Tenchi in Tokyo wasn't too bad, but it was inferior to both the OVA and Tenchi Universe, I think.
As for my favorite character...Sasami!
I liked Yosho, too.

Yeah, I wonder why she is carrying a .45 pistol in that picture. I would of figured Washu would carry a weapon that's much more powerful and scientifically advanced, but considering the person the pistol might not be what it seems...

Tenchi Universe was the best. I love Kagato as the villan. I loved the entire Ryo-Ohki/Ken-Ohki love story aspect of it. I love Kiyone and Mihoshi's relationship. I love everything about Washu.

Honestly, I think either Mihoshi or Sasami deserve Tenchi. I have my reasons.

She is my favorite out of all the girls. I guess you can say I like 'em as genuises.
I remember seeing Tenchi Muyo! on the Interational Channel when it came out (and that was the somewhat unedited version). I didn't like Universe or Tokyo as much. I still haven't completely seen all the episodes of Universe. I felt that Tenchi in Tokyo didn't live up to what I thought was good.

Wow...old thread. C'mon...Tenchi isn't a bad show at all!
Anyway, thanks to a little sister of mine, on the planes coming down here, I read the 5 mangas + the special issue of the all new Tenchi Muyo! manga series.
I saw an episode of GXP and hated it. It sucked hard.
Another thing is that I've seen the fansubbedfirst 5 episodes of the new OVA 3 (or is it OAV?), thanks to our now-defunct DC++ hub on campus. It pretty much continues from the first Tenchi series and the new Manga (Ryo Ohki is a human, and there is no Kiyone). However, they introduce a slew of new charachters and totally explain about the Masaki family tree. Secrets are revealed in the first three episodes, and they even reveal the main villan, who is not Kagato (who doesn't seem to appear in this series so far). The first episode is a bunch of flashbacks from the first series. Oh, and yes, it can be somewhat vulgar at times, and though I have no respect for hentai anime, I do like Tenchi (not for these perverted reasons, though). I can't wait till it comes to the US.

Actually the new Tenchi Muyo OAVs are a continuation of the first OAV series, continuing where they left off.
