This is a fine tradition, a worthy tradition, but there's just one little snag:

What if we have two POINTLESS birthdays on the same day?

For that reason, I suggest that we put the birthday avatar in our sig file, with an appropriate "happy birthday" message. That'll accommodate a large number of birthdays.
