What would you name YOUR megadeuce?

Here it is, mortals:
Name: Twilight
Pilot: Surtur the Destroyer
Origin: Forged in Muspelheim
Power source:
1. controlled fusion reactor - provides an unlimited source of clean power
2. solar collectors - when in direct sunlight, increases power efficiency by 5%
3. ramscoop - absorbs heat energy from nearby fires, extinguishing them in the process. Does not work on napalm or in a vacuum.
Weapons/offense:
1. 6x fusion pulse cannons - shoot balls of energy strtaight forward, medium damage, very slight tracking (turn 3 or 4 degrees horizontally), can be used individually or in conjunction. Unlimited ammo.
2. 4x Chainguns - basic gatling-style guns. fire straight forward. overheat after 5 minutes of continuous use. ammo for 30 minutes of fire. Must be used in conjunction with one another
3. 1x Napalm Sprayer - name says it all. Wide spray of napalm to the front of Twilight, pivots vertically.
4. 6x S.A.D. launchers - launch small glowing-green pods from both sides of Twilight. Fly out to their respective sides, merge on target, plasma explosion. Used in conjunction with one another.
5. Mine launcher - lays mines throughout the field. No IFF, explode when touched by anything.
Armor/defense:
1. Neutronium-reinforced plasteel - good against blunt blows, weak against cuts. minor cuts automatically mend, large cuts flooded with quick-hardening foam for minor protection.
2. Energy shielding - deflects fast-moving objects (8.5 mph or faster), slow moving objects pass through with light resistance.
3. EMP shielding - coats all circuitry.
Tactics/special abilities:
1. Berserk - directs all power to offense, temporarily dropping energy shielding but doubling offensive strength.
2. Holo projector - think Osrail
3. Cloak - makes Twilight invisible to the naked eye and masks his heat signature. He can still be seen by radar. Cannot use weapons while cloaked
4. Jump jets - thrust Twilight into the air, work for only 15 seconds, normal landings don't damage Twilight, but uneven landings can cause him to fall over.
5. Audio system - blasts Korn and Metallica out of massive speakers, distracting enemies and announcing the Call to Battle.

Dun worry about it, oh ye of Grey pants. I was adressing the whole topic... We dun want a flame war, now do we? >_> I dun wanna sound like a mod... but grumpiness subtracts from the fun.
Whoo. That's actually VERY innovative, Surtur. A formidable Megadeus indeed. I especially like the solar collectors. Nice touch. >thumbs up<
And, by the by, my offer still stands. Anyone who wants their Megadeus drawn (ANYONE) can request a picture. Granted, it may not be in color, or even that good, but I try.

I can't draw worth crap, man so feel free to try to draw Twilight. Just remember that plasteel looks like organic metal, the shield is only visible when hit, and all weapons are in plain view.

Twilight, a pretty good machine. A rather impressive set of armaments. I would expect no less from the forges of Muspelheim. However you should realize that it would stand no chance against Big Omega. My Blades of Seraphim would slice through it like a hot knife through butter. Lady Tesser, I think that your Big Klutz is great, it could give any Megadeus a run for its money. I would like to see Big Klutz stumble in mid-battle between to other Megadei

that'd be hilarious!

Nah, either my shields would deflect them or I would dodge them, and you'd have to get close to me first.

Only for the playoffs, Big Omega. I doubt the Big Trio would put up with it for long. However, it would be embarrassing for the opposition to be defeated by a known amateur and certainly uncool foe.
"You got defeated by a WHAT?? You are a shame to the Mecha Pilots' Union!"

Lady Tesser, we love the Big Klutz, the worst that the Big Trio Alliance would ever do to your Megadeus would be pick it up, carry it off the battle field, and somehow chain or tie it up.
As for you, Surtur, you forget that I have the Holy Binder. Besides, my Oblivion Blade could shatter that shield. It would be a good fight but the Big Omega would win. You said yourself, your armor is weak against cuts and my Blades of Seraphim cut like nobody's business.

On the contrary, my friend, Twilight's shields are impervious to fast moving objects. The only way for anything to pass through them is to slow down to less than 8.5 mph. Besides, it's not my defense that you need to worry about...
BERZERKER MODE ENGAGE

Then could you take Big Klutz into your fold as the comic relief?
*attempts to show off abilties by pointing pocket protector ink cannon at Twilight, which squirts a glob of ink under Twilight's feet and makes it very slippery*
Cute Girl Voice over PA: Oops! Sorry Mr. Surtur! I was, like, trying to audition to be on the Big Trio team! Their pilots are, like, really cute and stuff, except Norman, but he's, like, my uncle and that's why I have Big Klutz, and - wow - Mr. Surtur, your mecha is really SHINY! It's, like, sooo pretty - "

Megadeus Kal-El
Weapons Systems:
Twin linked infrared-frequency laser cannons ('Heat Vision')
Compressed air turbine ('Super Breath')
Liquid nitrogen sprayer, recharged from the air ('Super-Cold Breath')
Defenses:
Electromagnetic armor [sensors detect incoming attack and 1 microsecond before impact, high-capacity super-conductor-based capacitors produce a magnetic field which produces MHD instability; this disrupts armor-piercing attacks and provides cushioning]
Power Sources:
Energy reclamation field [absorbs radiant energy from very near vicinity and funnels it into interior systems; everything from lasers to ambient heat]
Special:
Flight System [Anti-graviton turbine produces static gravity field, reducing weight to zero; thousands of microscopic air jets provide thrust]
Sensor Web [Every possible sort of sensor with maximum efficiency and a dedicated neural-net computer to filter and display the information]
Signal Accelerator System [allows reaction times exceeding human maximum]
-----
The Kal-El is not directly piloted, but is instead 'possession-piloted'. The 'pilot' hooks directly with the Kal-El's systems and falls unconscious; his mind occupies the Megadeus and leaves the original body behind. Eventually (after an hour or so, longer for strong-willed persons), the mind returns to the body, and the Kal-El returns to base under automatic pilot. If the central brain is ever destroyed, the pilot wakes up, none the worse for his experience (except for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
The Kal-El can move with ten times the speed of human reflexes, or more with sufficient power. The flight systems allow flight with no sound or visible effects.
The energy reclamation field prevents attacks in a narrow range from causing any damage (within which most military weapons fall), but only reduces damage from more powerful attacks.
The reclamation field power is funneled to the power systems, thus making the Kal-El more powerful. This extra power can be channeled to any system, including the movement motors, allowing the Kal-El to increase it's strength and speed beyond that of a normal Megadeus, as well as the electromagnetic armor.
While the energy reclamation and storage systems can be overloaded, it requires a LOT of power to do that. And most of the power is immediately channeled to offensive or defensive systems, thus reducing the stored power.
------
It flies; attacks that don't affect it make it stronger, attacks that do affect it are too strong to be considered practical on a regular basis; it can fry or freeze or just blow a target down; it sees everything around it; and it's fast and can get faster. Plus the pilot is perfectly safe and so doesn't have to worry about self-preservation.
Your Megadei are weenies.

Sure, I bet we'd love to have you in the fold Lady Tesser, and Big Klutz too. With as serious as we all are we could use someone with some cute comic relief. Just make sure you don't try to help repair the Megadei, that could be a problem.
As for you, Surtur, fine, fine. Live in your dream world, you could never beat Big Omega. Look at the name, think hard (but that would probably be hard for a person with such a low IQ). Keep on thinking...if you can reach a conclusion to that then your life will be spared after it happens.

Could I call it to my side by yelling into my wristwatch?
Then I'd probably go for something like "ROCKEM' SOCKEM' POLECAT!!!!"
Either that, or "BIG JOE!!!!!!!!"
Or maybe something more inspired, like "THUNDER FUNK!!!!!!"
Sorry, I can't come up with anything super-cool. I'll let you know if I come up with something.

I have a low IQ? I've told you repeatedly that I'm impervious to melee attacks, and all you can think of is slicing me! Remember that arsenal you have?
TRY USING SOMETHING ELSE, STUPID!

I told you to think, you obviously are not using the most important organ in your body, the Brain. If you could think then you would at least get a vauge idea about something happening, but apprently you refuse to. Fine, I accept your wish to remain ignorant. Most would about something like that, but I expected someone who exalts Surtur to be enthralled by it. Apparently I once again give humans far too much credit. I must mend these charitable ways of mine...

Exactly. It's ok to compare your designs, but keep the personal attacks out of it. If this thread gets out of hand, it will be locked.

Sorry, I guess I just get kinda carried away sometimes. I guess we shouldn't be comparing our Megadei in this. I should make a thread where we design our own Megadei and get them to battle each other. That would be pretty fun, but we'd need to becareful, cause it could get outta hand really quick. But this surtur guy gets on my nerves though, I'm gonna make sure that in the Megadei battle league I'll beat him.

Everyones designs thus far have been very impressive...and again, we should not allow ourselves to get too carried away in this, it's all in good fun, y'know?
With that said, thanks for defending the honor of the Big Trio alliance the Big Omega, but don't get too carried away.
And Big Omega, thanks for the offer, but the Big Butler's already been drawn...I would like to see your rendition of Twilight though.
