What would you name YOUR megadeuce?

The Fallen Phoenix 08-08-2003 07:21 PM
I think I'm going to start the Big Butler FAQ right now. Big Grin

And the picture isn't that good...I mean, I'm just surprised how quick the Big Butler idea came along...you can see his beginnings on the "What do you want to happen in Season 2" thread...Big Grin

That is probably my best artwork on the computer, they're usually horrible. I do much better with paper and pencil, although again I'm not that good of an artist...my cousins are much, much better.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms was a really great read...I got it a year ago as a birthday present, and I really enjoyed it. I have the 4 volume set translated by Moss Roberts, it's pretty good. I think your best bet to find it would be off the internet to tell you the truth.

Anyway, some of the armaments of the Big Butler: (Check here for updates, I'm not going to make more posts to add weapons, it will all be here. Big Grin )

WEAPONS

Drilling Mop

-->This thing is piston powered. It is attatched to the right arm of the Big Butler, and when not used in Drilling Mode can be used as a Swinging Mop. This is the Big Butler's primary short to mid-range weapon.
-->The Mop can be detatched and placed on the Big Butler's back when use of 2 hands is required (like for the Chromecooker attack).
-->The piston can be used in order to add an extra bit of power, just like the pistons on Big O's arms.

Silver Platter

-->The Silver Platter has three uses. Carried in the Big Butler's left hand, it can be used as a shield, in which the lid remains firmly attatched and can deflect most long-distance attacks. Because of the presence of the lid, the shield is 2 layered, so even if the lid is destroyed the base of the platter remains.
-->The Silver Platter can also be used as a long-range weapon. In this case, the lid comes off and hovers in mid air, protecting the Big Butler from weak long-rang attacks as it throws the platter like a frisbee. Sharp edges extend from the rim of the platter, which rapidly spins towards the target. The Platter drills into the opponent before returning to the Big Butler.
-->The Silver Platter's final use is for the Big Butler's ultimate attack, the Chromecooker. The Big Butler detatches the Drilling Mop and places it on its back. Its left arm turns inwards, holding the Silver Platter in front of the Big Butler by its stomach. Its right arm then turns so that it is hovering over the lid, which his right hand grabs and lifts. The Platter is then held at arms length away from the Big Butler, flat side down, as a large beam of energy is fired from it. The beam of energy is sustained for approximately 10 seconds, before the lid is placed back onto the Platter and the attack is ceased.

I'll add more later. Cool

::Were that the case, then Twilight would be in immediate, almost point blank range for system infection. The megadeus Cesare had been long situated behind Big Omega and Big Butler. So all it really need do now was to ensure that Surtur remained within the field for a few more meager minutes.::

::He could have offered a clever quip, but he choose to remain silent. It would seem that their mutual foe had yet to take notice of the less imposing Megadeus. Were he to play his cards right beating this thing would be an absolute cinch.::
Shaoblane 08-08-2003 07:22 PM
What if we named it something that made no sense, like Fluffy or Spike? Lol just a thought...

- Animus
- Jugend
- Merkava
- Simeon
- Solaris
- Zeboim

Well, those would have to be my top choices for naming my Megadeus. They're all names taken from Xenogears, which happens to be one of my favorite games of all time. Heh, I also just think they sound pretty cool. So, yeah, I'd name my Megadeus one of the above.
Lady Tesser 08-08-2003 07:35 PM
Yeah, Lizard, it'd be devastating to find out you got beat by a mecha named Fluffy. Even worse would be a mecha named 'Widdle Snookie-Poo' (it was used in a fanfic once). A morale-killing advantage.

Great idea for the used bubblegum attacks, Le Bread! There could also be the pocket-protector laser cannons which just squirt ink at everything. There's also a PA system so everytime she smegs up, she yells 'Oops! SOR-RY! Is everyone okay?? Ooh, look at the shiny pistons!'

Alas big Butler's Arch nemesis....Big Boy

Big Boy is a family restaurant, once a place our family actually used to go to. They served the traditional cheeseburgers and chicken wings like any ol' restaurant. However, with the turn of the century they have begun to expand globally, utilizing state-of-the-art machinery to create the "Big Boy" megadeus.

As seen in the movie "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me"...the Big Boy strength lies in its rocketry. It is an air type with rocket boosters on the bottom of its shoes. Two hyperdrive rocket boosters help to propel this giant smiling megadeus to incredibly fast speeds. It hold in its right hand...as a symbol of freedom, a symbol of freedom away from the servant-like behavior that a butler must endure. While butlers must serve a higher, stricter master...the Big Boy serves for no one but the innocent civilians.

:End of Introduction:

Description of Weaponry to follow:

BIG BUTLER WILL NEVER SUBMIT TO YOU!!! Mad

Biiiiig Butler! It's DINNNNNNNEEERRR TIME!

"Cast in the name of God...ye dinner is served!"

In all seriousness, that is a great arch-nemesis for the Big Butler Bryanx.

But we all know Big Butler will come out on top. Big Grin

And the Big Klutz...is a riot! Laughing It's a very dangerous foe that should not be taken lightly. Laughing

So we're describing our megadeuses now? Okay, let me think of something...

The Bic Mac would have the basic Big shape. It would be painted red and white, and the cockpit area would have a large yellow M on it, as would the back (though the one on the back would be bigger).

Each arm would be fitted with large cannons, where the palm of the hand would open up and Big Macs would fly out. Though not infinite, the supply of burgers would be large, and each would include every condiment imaginable. The burgers propelled from the cannons would fly at high velocity, yet even after impact with an enemy, they would retain they tasty goodness.

The eyes, green, would be fitted with Lettuce Lasers, which would cause equal damage that any Big's laser would cause, but these can also restore plant life.

The ultimate attack of The Big Mac is the FryCook Blast. The megadeus assumes a stance as though it were taking notes on an order being requested as the M on its back lights up with energy. The energy is the release in the form of really really hot french fries as the megadeus opens it's mouth and shoots the fries out.

Like Big O, The Big Mac is fitted with missiles and machine guns, but the missile compartments look like straw dispensers.

Though only 2, the Big Mac also has grapling hooks which are used by ketchup-rocket blasts.

That's all i can think of now, I may add on later Big Grin .

Big Boy's weapon #1

Big boy Buster

-Big Boy is a nickname for their traditional double decker hamburger and as this weapon's name follows, the megadeus has one of its primary weapons laying atop in his right palm. yes..the cheesburger in its right hand is a major weapon of his. Like Big O's chromebuster...the piston (Big Boy's arm) extends back to get the full force of the attack. Once released the the arm extends forward with great strength and the hamburger is to be crammed down the enemy's throat, as if we were forcing them to eat our hamburgers...despite how they taste. The hamburger buns provide for extra shielding and a dual-layered burger patti provides for extra shock when this force hits you smack-dabb in the face. The Big Boy's arm extension was calculated so precisely and configured so intricately so that the attack would utilize the maximum amount of output possible, depending upon the angle of the elbow and rotation of the right shoulder. The great thing about this primary weapon is that it does not take long to reload. The Big Boy has plenty of hamburgers to dish out to its foes.

Concerning the Big Mac - what about the Special Sauce Attack? ^_~

Fallen Phoenix, the only thing worse than an amateur is an amateur with a dangerous weapon.

The Big Boy sounds dangerous - Big Butler may have met his match!

Pfff...lets put it this way. Big Butler is already defeated. Pleased
Le Bread 08-08-2003 07:59 PM
Compound the Big Butlers already capable fighting prowess with the Grand Scale Assault capabilities of the Big Omega and the maneuvaribility and microscopic warfare potential of Cesare and I'd say the odds are just a little stacked against Big Boy. o.o
The Fallen Phoenix 08-08-2003 08:00 PM
That's what you think...Laughing

Big Butler still has a few advantages...such as being an original, Big O based mecha...

And a mecha is only as good as its pilot, and I think Norman is a much better pilot than...whoever pilots Big Boy.

Without the Big Butler, who would serve dinner or mop up the floors of the forum?? I'd like to see Big Boy wielding a deadly mop! Or using the feared Chromecooker attack! Tongue Chromecooker will vaporize the cheap Hamburgers the Big Boy uses!

You all forget...fast food quality is poor. You get much better quality cooking from a butler. Anime Smile

The Big Butler will prevail! Big Grin

That's right Le Bread! We will rally together to face this menace to the boards!!!

And you forget one thing Bryanx...

Big Boy can never compete against the mecha with the boot-up phrase,

Cast in the name of God, ye dinner is served!

He may not have the catch phrase...but he certainly dishes out a much cheaper and delicious meal for the wholesome family. Big Boy is to serve the people...not one stuck up Negotiator who can't decide whether he wants his dinner now or later. Big Boy is servin you up next..cause ur on the menu Big Butler Mad
The Fallen Phoenix 08-08-2003 08:09 PM
But you forget all the people on this forum alone that the Big Butler has already served! He services all people, just his first priority is to the Negotiator. Big Grin

And you say so yourself, Big Boy has low quality cooking! The Big Butler can easily outcook Big Boy! Let's see Big Boy serving Rigatoni a la Vodka Sauce, or a nice juicy Shell Steak, or a real (not processed), mouth-watering Bacon Cheeseburger (quarter pounder) with lettuce, tomatoes (unless you fear them, which is perfectly okay Wink ), and ketchup, along with whatever other toppings you may desire!

And if you're a vegetarian, have a ceaser salad!

And if you like fish, you'll love the Big Butler's grilled salmon!

Face it, fast food is inferior to all food.

Quality, home-cooked meals are superior to all food.

Therefore, the Big Butler's cooking>my cooking>Big Boy's cooking. Big Grin

LOL

First off, Big Boy's is not much of a fast food chain...it is a sit down and enjoy uor meal and take your time kinda experience. The Big Boy restaurants had a dream... a dream that a lovely couple with two happily content kids sit together and talk about their day over four juicy double-decker cheeseburgers. This dream has prevailed for over 50 years and as the versions of the Big Boy character were improved and updated with the times...so did the quality of the food and service. How can a senile old man such as Norman perform his duties as a cook for too long now? Even as Norman's time might be near...Big Boy continues on...it fights on to be the best...and we're very proud of that fact. While you have only the backing of one on your side...doing the cooking and servicing...we have a whole staff of people who have been working on this project for a lot longer. They are well paid and love thier jobs...to serve the people and their needs. The people need new order....the people need good service....the people need.....Big Boy!
TubamanRH 08-08-2003 08:25 PM
If I had a Megadeus mine would be called Big Red, I have no idea what it would looklike though

I play MW4 if any1 cares, if u c me on it I'm Caerbannog there

Oh, and 'deus' is Latin does mean 'god', i looked it up in an online Latin dictionary
The Fallen Phoenix 08-08-2003 08:32 PM
Even if Norman may die, the Big Butler will live on...just as the other Megadueses have lived on. We know they are at least 40 years old, and they don't look they are anywhere nearing completion of their lives.

Norman may die, but his legacy shall live on in the Big Butler forever! It is highly probable (in fact, definately true) that Norman has recored all that needs to be known to be a great cook and cleaner inside of the Big Butler, so the next pilot will be able to carry on his legacy.

And I'm sure that now for the Big Boy, everyone must love their jobs, and have a nice atmosphere...well, it always starts that way. Then, you have corruption, which is inevitable in a capitalist system, and that includes a resturant chain. Even sit-down diners aren't what they used to be, but the quality of a butler never goes down, because they will always enjoy what they do, and the only true job that is higher in prestige in the cooking business would be a four star chef...(like the Iron Chefs in Japan, for example. Big Grin ).

And, as we have seen, the Big Butler isn't restricted to the higher-class...he has already serviced a great many people on this forum, including yeself! He has mopped the floors, cooked the meals, whereas Big Boy has only just appeared here!

And all ye who abandon the Big Butler...have ye no loyalty! Has the Big Butler ever asked you for something, before protecting you? Or cooking for you? Or cleaning for you? And yet ye would run away to lower quality food, in a place that appears to have a nice, caring enviroment. But we all know...what is happening behind the scenes. They say their food is cheap, well it will be, and not in price alone. They will try and squeeze every dollar out of you, while keeping costs down as low as possible...such is the consequence of capitalism.

Whereas again, the Big Butler, a native born to Paradigm, raised on the forum, who has selflessly devoted its life to serving you!

"Cast in the name of God...ye dinner is served!"

Now, and forever more!
