lol sorry again for replying to old post's but I love Berserk. Berserk is an amazing series and manga, however the manga is MUCH better. The TV show is good in it's own right but some awesome charecter's are cut out like the Skull Knight or as dark horse "translated" it to Knight of Skeloton. Also the tv series is tone downed in terms of violence and sexual content and sadly the ending is a cliff hanger but in the manga

. The manga is ongoing and is close to vol. 31 and will likely continue for quite along time.

I've seen the anime series. It's one of the best anime series out there. The manga is ongoing and there have been rumors to this very day that there will be a Season 2 anime in the future. The manga creator himself has noted that he just wants to make sure there's enough material for Season 2. Ironically, there seems more than enough at this point, but no known actions have been taken. I think it's one of those deals where everything has to be in the right place at the right time--creator, animation studio, broadcasting station, economy, etc...sorta like BIG-O. Though, the fact that a TRIGUN movie is in the works now after all this time shows that the prospect is not impossible.
I'm not sure that most animation houses today could even pull off a Season 2 to tell the truth. Still, there have been two incredible games that take place after the events of the anime, one for Dreamcast that was released in the US, and one for PS2 that is for some strange reason, Japan-only.
As for the Skull Knight issue. From what I understand, he would logically be written into Season 2 without much trouble. He was in the DC game at the end.
Season 1 doesn't truly end with a full cliffhanger if you watch after the credits I think it is. It segways back into episode nicely. I hope Season 2 does get made though!

@ 31 vols.+ I'd say that's plenty. Hell infact they could do several season's, but would need a few flash back episdoes for the Skull Knight and Kushan Booty kicker Silat, even the he got pwned by Guts twice.

Yeah I was surprised that they didn't release the PS2 one, I would have love to play it. I played the DC one, one of like 4 games I had for DC. Also Berserk + Mad house= Greatness

DC game takes place around vol.20 or so in the manga, thus he's in it.
