Right...avatar...critique. Okay. First, I'll start with the positives. I like the translucent border: it's a really nice, original touch. Indeed, I think it's better than a solid border. Oh, did I mention it's Tomoyo? Speaking of which, it's a nice pose...might not be her usual starstruck pose with the trademark red blushes, but that's okay.

I think the biggest weakness with this avatar is the quality; it isn't that great. There's quite a bit of grain scattered all over the image, particularly around her neck. The blurriness doesn't help much, either.

Personally, I think I would try and cut Tomoyo out of that image and fill the background with something else, since it can get a little distracting; it's not that big of a deal, but it deserves mention.

Overall, I think it's a good avatar; unfortunately, the (relatively) poor quality detracts from its potential. Furthermore, I really do think something should be done with that background.

Sorry, I was spending so much time critiquing Trisa's avatar it seems you were able to sneak a post in... let's rectify certain...inequities.

First, the clarity is great. No noticable grain issues, no blurriness, and the image is simple enough to see what's going on.

It's definitely an original image...I especially like the array of colors. While there might not be many, they look great and contrast really well with each other.

The big negative with this avatar is the size; it's small. I'm naturally biased against small avatars, so for me (personally) it's a big issue. Still, it isn't enough to seriously hurt the avatar so much. Overall, it's still a very good one.

Because it just isn't as orignal as I expected.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of it at all. It's...well, we'll hit it point by point.

First we'll start with the quality; not very good. At all. Very blurry, very grainy, and the animation doesn't feel...natural (though I'll comment more on that later). This aspect needs to be greatly improved, because I think this could make for a very good avatar.

The animation isn't bad; it loops fairly well, and it is a nice effect. Unfortunately, I don't think it fits very well. First, the color stands out as it's very solid and bland; quite unlike the rest of the avatar. For an animation such as this, one would want it to feel natural, organic, like it belongs with the image. Unfortunately, I just don't get this feeling.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not a big fan of smaller avatars. This is one instance where it would work, since the avatar is focusing on Mars' eyes and tiara; increasing the size would just stretch the image to unnatural proportions.

Overall, I feel the image's poor quality really weighs this avatar down, while the animation just doesn't seem to fit. I think if these two aspects are improved, you can really have a good avatar here.

I do have a request for the next user who rates my avatar. Alongside my current avatar, I'd like to request that the avatar I attached below also be rated. It's an avatar I made today since I quickly fell in love with the image, but I'm satisfied with my avatar now and have no wish to change it. Still, I'd like to get an idea of what people think of the other avatar since I might use it in the future.

That new avatar... looks like Tomoyo! The quality of the image is well done and nice job on getting the whole face along with that hat! I also liked the color of the border. I give it a 9.1/10
