That's a fine avatar, Almasy. However, it's a bit blurry about the eyes. 9/10

However, on a side note. As I watch your avatars change, I've been noticing your skin color getting more and more unnatural. Either 1. You're editting your photos too much or 2. You're putting on way too much sunless tan. If it's the second, I'd like to mention that it is extremely hazardous to your health. Although you have mentioned in the past that you plan on getting botox in your early 20s, the damage done by that stuff may not be fixable.

Alex I seriously wasn't trying to insult your face. Like wienberg said, it's looking more and more manipulated (like you adjusted the saturation, etc on it and smoothed everything over, etc).
But if, as you say Alex, it's "natural"...then I strongly advise that you stop usin that sunless tan stuff. I mean I've heard some nasty things about it...I won't go into details.

Okay where to start....

Alex, it's an okay picture of you. Wow, do you have white teeth or what? As an avatar goes, it okay. At first I was surprised to find it's a recent picture. The bangs make you look younger...but whatever 7/10

Wienberg...Bond, James Bond. It's crisp and being B/W makes it stand out from the the rest. 9/10

Evan, I don't know why I'm not too found of this avatar. Could be I don't like that big. It's unclear...don't know. 6/10 (sorry)

As for mine...it's not finished. I was tired of my old one and needed something new. I'm going to clean up the edges when I get a chance. But what do you guys think of the idea?

Oh! Now, I've never played Metroid (aside from the Gameboy demo at Best Buy), but I was intrigued when my gamer geek friend was ranting about the fact that

Mistress-Samwise: A very nice avatar!

Image quality is great; the picture is very clear, and there doesn't seem to be any major grain. The picture seems a little too out of focus...I think the background could be a little sharper, but this is so insignificant it really doesn't matter. Overall, the clarity is excellent.

I like the saturation...the colors are distinct and vivid without being too bright or overbearing. The darker colors, I think, are very effective for this particular avatar, and help convey the depressed emotions...

That's another thing I like about the avatar...I really like Black Jack's pose. Many of the screencaps used as avatars tend to depict brighter moments in anime...while this can hardly be considered dark in the extreme sense, it's certainly darker than others...and considering I like darker depictions in general, bonus points for you.

Overall, it's a very good avatar...there aren't any particularly notable weaknesses.

Another one of your fine Avatars, FP. Overall, it's great, but I still hold that the cross is poorly defined (although, that happens even more-so in the Background image you derived this from). Also, it's farily pixelly in the light. Once you take a good look, it's not as smooth as it seems.
