*Benjamin: An interesting avatar, to say the least.
In all honesty, it isn't the clearest avatar I've ever seen...this isn't because of quality problems (granted, there is some grain, but it's not very noticable), but rather because it is hard to tell exactly what's going on at first glance. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it might take a few moments for the casual observer to recognize what is depicted in the avatar. The bright light does attract the eye very well without blinding it, however, so bonus points for that.
Colors used are fine, in my opinion. Seems to be a screencap, so one doesn't always tend to have all that much control over the saturation, but it's good enough.
I'm not at all a fan of the little black area in the lower-right corner of the avatar...personally, I think that'd be best removed. It doesn't hurt the image all that much, however, so it doesn't really matter...
Overall, a pretty decent avatar. Not particularly outstanding, but far from terrible.
