+ It has a border, which closes it off from the backround of PCF, which is always a very effective manner.
+ It is of good quality and clarity in my opinion.

The white backround is both a negative and a plus, it gives a contrast to the other colors of course, how ever a white backround works a lot better when the other colors are dark.

- The character is not centered, it probably would have been better if the character was centered better, instead of just having a white blob behind him there are various leaves, which distracts attention from the inital character, and in my opinion I think the character should be shown off more then the leaves.

- I do not really know who the character is, so I can't really relate with that, however I make it a point to not give people really lower marks because I do not know the character.

Like yours, but I don't know what it's from. It's got a nice border, although it's slightly blurry. But that's not too bad. But I'm not exactly for photo avatars.

Opinion:

-It's a nice avatar number one, but I'm not for photographs or screenshots from a live movie.

-Number two, I think it's good you used the border, considering it would have been strange in contrast to the Paradigm Skinning.

-If I weren't about to do and overall I'd give it a 9.76 / 10

Super Umino: I have no idea what in the world yours is from, but it gets a good rating simply because it's so out there. Really--how many people have an avatar of someone grabbing another's butt? ... Exactly. Not many. 10/10

And Trisa, the more I look at those ridiculously large and ridiculously cute eyes, the more they tend to scare me. Not as busy as some others, but simplicity's cool, too. 7/10

I tried that, but the way the picture is it wouldn't let me...because of there bing a white bar through the middle since the webmaster of the site I got it off of scaned the pages sepretly...that was the best I could get without showing the bar or the site logo!

Green_Bird: A fine avatar. I think the character being off-center works. It'd be a lot better if there were something over his left (our right) shoulder, but even so, the leaves are nice to look at.

The white is an annoyance that can't really be helped without a LOT of work.

My only major complaint is that the image seems over-sharpened. It gives the image a more jagged appearance than smooth.

Overall: 8.2/10

GAT-X105: An intriguing avatar.

Clarity is all well and good; no real complaints there. Looks like there might be a little pixelation issues in the dark blue background, but we're talking really minute; they're really hard to spot, let alone be severe enough to seriously detract from the image quality.

It's a fairly original image...while there are more non-anime/animation avatars now than there were in the past, they are still an obvious minorty. It's good to see different types of images for avatars, at least in my own opinion.

For color...it's a dark avatar, there's no doubting that. This is enhanced by the black background and the dark blue symbol behind the face. While this is seemingly a screencap, therefore something I can't really fault the maker of this avatar with, I do think there should be more contrast between the background image and the rest of the background.

It's really more of a personal issue than anything else, I suppose; technically, there's really nothing wrong with the contrast. However, a greater contrast would allow for the identification of the blue symbol...at least, it looks like a symbol.

Of course, it could just be that I'm so unfamiliar with the image that I'm at a loss, whereas someone who is familar with the image does know what the symbol is (if it is even a symbol).

Well, notwithstanding that little issue, it's a very good avatar overall; while there aren't many serious flaws, there also aren't all that many serious strengths, either.
