o___o;;;
don't expect to row you over here to the continent dude O_o;;; j/k
Anyways...I know the party is still a long ways away...but...when/if we get to this party (on the East Coast or West Coast) how will we know who's who O_o;; Cos I don't think I really know too many people's REAL names or even there faces...
I mean hell you'd know who I am cos I'm coming in full Zenigata attire..but how will I know which guest is which?
(I mean name tags with user names+real names could be possible)

How about name tags with our avatars? Or print out our avatars onto paper bags and wear them over our heads?
Those of us with pictures on the picture thread could put a clickable link on the bag referring to the appropriate page of said thread.

CON BADGES! That'll be great ID! "paradigm-city.com Reunion 1 - East Coast Party (or West Coast) - July 10, 2004" and have both User Name and Real Name written on it. And since everyone's avatars change on a regular basis, perhaps a headshot of Big O or Roger and Dorothy or whatever other character for the pic.
I'll be easy to spot - I'll be the super-deformed Dorothy.

It wouldn't be a party without the crazy Fanwriter section of Paradigm present

Depending on finances, mostly, evan. If finances weren't a problem, you bet your trenchcoat I'd be up there - with sun tea, Bryant's sauce, and deviled eggs in hand.
Give me until June or so to figure out how everything's going. As of now, plane ticket prices look good and the desire to go is present. ^_^

HOLY CRAP!
...I'd love to see more people I know go there. Like we'd have celebraties or something! If Manji showed up I'd like die x.x

Driving is always an option. It may take a while, but it's a whole lot cheaper than a plane. My family and I drive down to Fla. nearly every summer. However, you'd need some recovery time, Mrs. Tesser. It really is a long ride.

Driving is always an option - esepcially when we finally get a car. That's why there's a threat of kidnapping Almasy to go up with us. I've oftem found plane ticket prices and gas money are on even keel, with plane being a touch cheaper. If my dad (the barbeque master) is coming along, then it WILL be a road trip.
And if I'm going, PCT is automatically going - the alert is on wombats and puns, folks. ^_^

*decides to buy an extra set of handcuffs*
Did you know they ACTUALLY make thumbcuffs?

No foolin! I found some for sale!
I'm gonna need to get 100 or so handcuffs to actually get all of Zenigata's stuff

hehe
The cape is a mighty long drive from florida. Not sure if my POS car would make it :\ Stupid car.
As many times as i'd have to refuel, maybe a plane ticket would actually be more economical.
time to start saving $$$ or play the lottery...hmmmm

It turns out I'll be in Indiana about when we think this is going to take place. My relatives decided to go in early August instead (They are evil) So I can't go, if the tentative date become the real date. Why doesn't someone bring a cell-phone. I'll be able to call in to the party from my second-rate cell-phone and see how everything is going while I' stuck in the land of the corn.
Maybe?
Hopefully?
Wishful thing?

Cell phone? heh I'll have my cell phone to call+talk with my folks while I'm there. If you give me your number (sometime before July) I'll make sure to include ya in the fun

(THough only through audio means ^^;; )

I was going to bring my laptop and my digital camera anyway but with wireless... it makes uploading the pictures easier (and I can do it on my iBook!!!). My videocamera can double as a webcam too (if we want to do that). It's not a typical outing without bringing all my electronics with me anyway.

PS. BBQ in Hawaii! Wish we could do that! But I wouldn't be able to afford it.

Sounds like fun! Unfortunately, I'm in Texas, which is quite a distance from either locale, and I'll probably be taking summer classes anyway, so it's no go for me. Post lots of neat pictures and have tons of fun!

Maybe one of these days it'll be possible for me to travel around and meet some of you.

I definatly want to go but there are a handful of variables to keep me from going
1. My mom would have multiple heart attacks if I even asked her (no matter what you tell her shes still gonna believe everyone on the internet is a big hairy guy that wants to molest/kill children

)
2. Im on the west coast (Oxnard, CA) and could prolly never get a ride there
3. I dont really know anyone and would prolly end up standing around alone all loner status for the entire thing
BUT I STILL WANT TO GO!!!
Well, who knows. I may be able to convince my mom, but just getting there is my major problem.

I might be able to come. It depends where I am during that time of year. After I graduate high school @ the end of june, I'm either going to stay here in New York or go to Florida. It does sound like a lot of fun, though.

Mr. Saturn - you could always have your mom come along to check it out. Most parents object to their kids meeting new people ALONE. If she comes along, she could see who we are and if we're a bad influence or not.
There could also be a core list of who's going to be there and who's hosting it - since you're in CA, you'll be going to the Oregon party which is being hosted by Uncle Tomato and Auntie Pygmalion (Robert and Karen), who have teenage children of their own.
Something to think about. Everyone here does understand the parent issue, and the hosts certainly do expect a parent or two to be poking around and making sure things are safe. It's no problem.
