If I have to grease palms to get it down here, hell yeah. (Type too fast, you misspell stuff and make unintentional puns. Don't tell my husband - he'll be proud I made a pun.)

Or, at least, they didn't flee right away.

You forgot my sister who I shall resist quoteing at this moment since I'm ready to murder the little err... Brat yes, brat. On the other note my father was rather bored but did say in a slightly dishartened way that he had a good time. So uh I guess thats a good think ^^ And no offence to Lady Tesser but if theres another New England BBQ I might try to fight and get to Rhode Island next summer but we'll see...

Alright I'm sopposed to be calm and sentimental for the next part oif camp but I have two fudgesicles melting. Catch ya all laters.

But what about the younger people who have parents who don't want them going to a place with a bunch of strangers.... I'd love to go and all.... I actually was thinking about this at one time... and Some of us live in California... and where is Cape Cod?

Massachusetts

LT, Florida and Massachusetts are far enough away that I see no reason we shouldn't have an East Coast North and East Coast South cookout... that way we can get the maximum number of people who can make it. There's a lot of Floridians at PCF!

As long as everyone has a webcam, we're all set! Tongue

That sounds pretty reasonable, Zola. Considering the concentration of members in the south, I'll take those, and you'll take the large concentration of those in the north (shall we reenact the battle of Gettysburg?).

I don't think we'll need to go that far...one Gettysburg is more than enough for me.

---
I am curious, though...I like the idea of having a West, Northeast, and Southeast cookout, but what about the Mid-West? I know we have some forum members who live out there, and I don't think it would be particularly easy to get to any of the cookouts. I suppose it's up to those members, but I would think they'd like to have a cookout of their own...

I suppose I'm just thinking so broad as to include as many people as possible...something which is (unfortunately) quite difficult.

Perhaps what we should do is plan one major cookout for everyone, and plan it two-three years in advance. Tongue Okay, perhaps not that long, but you get the idea. Until then, regional cookouts work too, but...

I've got an idea! Come to Gettysburg and reenact there! (Means little traveling for me Tongue ). We could always have it in PA but I'm not totally up to planning everything (Besides, I either have to book some Park or something. I'm not sure we could have enough parking at Dad's house...and I don't have a web cam...).

Hey, I think that North East, Sout east is a good idea. People can go to which is closer to them.

None the less, good idea for east coasters. Now, I'm wondering about the western people. Def. the poor midwesterns. Who's going to host that one?

Dude, totally agree, but we have to make it easy for everyone to get too and maybe find a nice place or someone who has the space for all of us Tongue .

Hence the proposed two year or so planing time. Seriously, I think we'd be able to manage it with enough thought...

What she said, I am likely the most centrally located in the midwest (Just north of Detroit) however I have not the capability to host such an event. Not to mention that the local OBB (Orange Barrel Bregade aka construction) would irk travelers to no end.

As for Gettysburg, does anyone have a portable fence we can use?

I already said I'd be able to host a mid-west one. Although..I'm not trusted as much as the others...........

Just need to speak up louder, DoD. ^_^

And that sounds fantastic - so we have me for southeast, Zola for northeast, Madrona for the west, and DominusofDeath for the midwest.

That works out pretty well - one way or another, there's a cookout within five hundred miles or so. ^_^ (Okay, maybe a little more.)

360 days to go!
Redd 07-14-2004 06:44 PM
Uh oh... Many of my friends live in the NorthEast, but I have many living in the south too, so this creates a problem for me... which party to attend?! (If im allowed to go, which is looking pretty good so far) Maybe we should have them on different days, to give some people a chance to go to both parties if they want? Just a suggestion...

Kinda hard to do the "simultaneous webcam" trick if they are on different days. Just a suggestion.
