I don't see one around.

But that bumper was interesting. They were joking around (the list of possible voices for Big O, for instance). But it makes you wonder. They acknowledged that the fans want a third season and they want a third season. Maybe they were dropping us a hint? They've been known to do stuff like that in the past.

BigPrime, you took the words right out of my mouth. You said exactly what I think and I couldn't have said it better myself, Smile

That's because a bunch of Season 3 threads were merged together into a single Season 3 thread, which is located here.

It might be easier to just put anything related to Season 3 in that thread...rather than having several threads devoted to the same subject... Roll Eyes

Anyway, though I did miss that bumper...(I don't pay attention to them anymore Tongue )...you never know...

We have seen teaser bumpers like that before, early in BIG O II's running. Before it said something to the effect that the Adult Swim staff was interesed in Season III after seeing how good Season II had turned out as an anime, but that there was evidently a good amount of convincing needed for the higher ups by ratings and such.

Sounds like things are going well, and all are being converted. Awesome. Thanks for the head's up. ^_^

I know how everyone is stuck on the argument of a season 3, but think
of this, a sequel series. That way we can begin anew. Plus it leaves the
first one in all its glory, and gives more to all the fans who want it. List your thoughts here. Any feed back is appreciated.

Okay know let's just get this Straight , I read numorous threads in this neverending forum of Big O . Many People say I want there to be a Season 3 , others say It was good just the way it ended because of some Stupid Reason of not Spoiling the Series too much and others are trying to post editors or the Creators or whoever is a part of the Production of Big O ,and Rumors that their might be a Season 3 and not to forgot Theories and nothing but Theories , to Satisfy the Answer wich may or may not be fact . So let's get to the Final Conclusion Will there be New Episodes Of Big O ? The Question we all want Answered included me , Cause I also want to see brand new episodes cause In My Opinion the Ending Sucked it wasn't a Perfect ending . The Ending should have been the way it was meant to be , Dorothy and Roger to be Together like all of us wanted and the Riddle of city of Amnesia to be revealed but no , they didn't show that , instead they showed something that did not make sense at all ,[SPOILER]Instead Paradigm city is first turned into a gridsquare training room from a fighting game, and then it resets . Then after the event Roger drives by the city and there goes ...Dorothy and Angel standing there like mindless souls , standing for I don't know what the hell for and last but not least to leave us with only Credits rolling and a message of ,"We have come to terms" or did we come to terms ? I guess we'll never know .

I know you all want Season 3 , hey I'm down with that too.
YZEtc 02-24-2004 07:16 PM
I feel your pain.

We have come to terms ?
Mmmmm, sure we did.
The only thing I came to terms with after watching that was the location of my Tylenol bottle.
JAYCZero 02-24-2004 09:48 PM
Thanks for realizing that , yeah that was Stupid of them to leave us in suspense like that .. so I guess they pulled an Evangelion on us huh. oh by the way this makes me laugh so hard , you have a Picture of the Megadues that implies , "your ass beating has arrived" LOL I like that , it sounds like that incoming ghetto line from Shaft , I can picture the Song in My head by Isaac Hayes right now,*Theme song starts playing* " Who will do some ass kicking when , a Big @$$ megadeus stomps the City ?...BIG O !When Roger is Trapped by Beck and Henchmen who he calls for Their Ass Beating ? ..BIG! , BIG O !...... He is ooone Bad Megadeusing Motha , SHUT YO MOUTh!! I was just talking bout Big O"

Will there be a season 3?

I think that Cartoon Network's Adult Swim buffers between commercials and shows tell us that Cartoon Network wants another season. It might be that the Japanese producers don't wanna do another one; it might be that they can't think-up a script that they can agree on. However, I do sincerely believe that Cartoon Network is interested in funding another Big O season...I hope... Cool

And then the dvds for season three could be called Big O III!!!

was watching 'the big fight', and noticed something interesting.

no, not with the episode. im sure that the good ppl here have dissected this episode six ways from sunday, it was in a card.

it came up-
'who wants a season 3 of big o?'
'thats right! we all do!'
'this time, big o talks. possible voice actors...'
it then lists off a bunch of names.

the basic jist of my question is, can this be taken seriously, or is it a cruel joke on behalf of the AS team?

This is kinda old news, just so you know. Adult Swim has been running that card for quite a while now.

But as for the question, I do believe that Cartoon Network is sincere in their statement that they want a new season of Big O, but the information has to go through the top brass at Cartoon Network as well as Bandai/Sunrise. The plausibility of a new season probably has to be contemplated more by the people actually involved in the production as opposed to funding, and as for the insinuation that CN would be hinting that one is in the works?--Yeah, right. They'd be spreading the word all over the world if it were to happen.

Dam ! I'm suprised to here this ! it's been like a month I been without watching Adult Swim ... they did show a card about that ? can you show me Screenshots of this if you can robwashere ? let's just hope that they will give a new season of Big O ,It's just like The Sopranos they keep us waiting for a year and then they give new episodes .
NVWC2006 03-16-2004 11:14 AM
Same has sorta been for myself. I haven't been watching lately; I used to time record, then watch after school, but then my time got full and i just stopped recording..
Then a few days ago, I realised that if i continued to time record, it would help the ratings..
Then I thought, wait, I have time now, LET'S WATCH!
And it was, woah, new stuff!
That intro card thing.. I wish it was 3d to see all the details on big O... they should've used the 3d model they had on Toonami comercials! Big Grin
Yeah, but I noticed the 3rd season card now, too. First time for me as well. I'm sure all the people there would want one, they wouldn't order a 7' Big O if they didn't! But as Negotiater Prime said, it isn't exactly their choice, that's higher up.

But anyway... I think it'd be pretty funny to have Barry White speak as Big O... Oooh ooh! I don't think it was on the list, but the guy who spoked as God in the Ten Commandments.
"Mooooooooses..."
"Roooooooooger..."

Barry White speaking as Big O . . .*chills*
robwazhere 03-16-2004 01:12 PM
well I had no idea there was a mega-thread in existance for this! Embarrassed Sweatdrop

lol after reading through some of the older posts, I had an idea (sorta...)

I read where someone posted about having a sequal to the series, and leaving the original unmolested. I kinda like this. But instead of a sequal, a prequal. I would kinda like to see one where they did it directly before the Event, and explained exactly what it is.

But heres the kicker... rather than havin Major Smith as the key character, why not explore it from another character's point of veiw. I personally fee Michael Seebach's descent into insanity searching for the truth while a War rages in Manhattan by people using (abusing is more like it) the power of God.

Could make for some interesting watchin....

I sure hope so, AdultSwim is on our side, they will try everything to get it created, but it will only get created if tehy think it will be profitable

I can't really say either way.

Even with certain players in our corner it's really up in the air. The one thing standing in our way seems to be ratings. I don't know about everyone else but I tape the shows I intend on watching more than once and once the DVDs become availible I buy them. Casually watching Big O is not really possible for me. It comes on at 1 am where I live, I have to go out of my way the catch the episodes.

I wish they'd take into consideration DVD sales when looking at the ratings (at far as judging how many people are interested) but sadly they do not. The only thing left to do is write letters and who knows how effective that is.

Heavy fan support did bring back 'Farscape', the only thing that show really lacked was a station to air it on. But Big O isn't as popular as Farscape, it can't be. Farscape ran for years on prominate station in prime time. That's some nice exposure.

I really would like an S3, the show needs it.

With Big O going off the line up in a little while we have limited time to give TPTB the ratings they need.

All and all, it's not looking good.
