14. Where does Norman take energy to reload Big O batteries from ? A megadeus needs a lot of energy, as we saw for Big Fau. This megadeus got energy from an electric central. Thus where does the electricity come from to reload Big O ?
15. How and where does Norman take pieces to repair Big O from ? I mean when Big O is damaged Norman repairs him in changing the destroyed pieces. Who is his supplier ? Where do the new pieces come from ? |
14 - What works for Big Fau and what works for Big O are probably two entirely different things. Big Fau is like a "commander" unit Megadeus - as opposed to Big O, a mass-produced model - Big O models were most likely availible to elite operatives and their fields commanders (like Major Roger Smith) - whereas Big Fau was availible to high-ranking Generals, Politicians, or Scientists who wanted to take a Megadeus for a spin in a relatively safe place (Big Fau is much more resilient than Big O)
I would say that Big Fau generates it's power from electrictiy - the 'noble' source - while Big O draws it's energies from the earth from which it came - hence, oil. Norman probably orders to the oil from numerous suppliers (a little bit from each one) or has a few salesmen he can trust.
15. There is evidence that Norman might not be the only one involved with repairing Big O. He obviously has a lot of connections. Who knows? It is quite possible back when Paradigm City was being founded that there was a civil war - you know, like the "Fall of Lucifer" or something like that. At any rate, it would explain the Military Police.
It would also explain how Norman is such a handy warrior as well as an engineer- although that
might just be built-in reflexive memory and not 'ordinary' memory at all.
Thus Norman gets the new pieces from people he can trust - connections. Most likely some of his suppliers were the same people who were helping him repair Big O in the final episodes.
Norman - This might well be the last duty we have to carry out.
Man - They won't take away our reason for living just yet.
By saying this (among other things), Norman indicated that he and everyone else present had a past - for their part, the men around him seemed remarkably at ease around Big O.
Sigh - I know there are more Big O fans than that!

I think it will be a beautiful thing is konaka-san see this topic. By the way ScionofDestiny you receive an e-mail from a compagny who produce Big O who said that are no idea for a Season 3. Howewer, he then said that konaka-san has an idea for the next season, do you think it could be an hope ?

There's a lot we don't know about Norman. We just know he showed up out of nowhere with the knowledge to repair and maintain Big O. Apparently he had memories pertaining to this and may have been a Megadues mechanic in his post amnesia life or something, who knows.
There's really no point in asking how Norman does anything, he just does it and always has because it's what he knows and remembers how to do. He doesn't know why or how so why should we?

Actually, I really like that idea. Although, there's probably and its pretty much common knowledge that were not getting a Season 3, I would like to see a Norman-based episode.
"Twisted Memories" did its thing with Norman pullin out his hardware but for example in the manga, there was a chapter that followed Norman having a day off with Dorothy and Roger meeting a client. All I'm going to say is that it involved Norman kicking some hoodlums' asses, him meeting Dorothy and talking about a statue of a woman that seems very important of his past, and Norman taking off the patch of his left eye for a minute (that's when he contends to kick some hoodlum ass).
I'm just saying that it would be nice to see a Norman-based episode, involving what he does and a little bit on his past.
Peace.

Hmmm. Ya know, if season 3 ever gets made (and that's a big if), an episode about Norman would be quite interesting. Like alot of people have said, not alot is know about Norman, so yeah if there ever is a 3rd season a Norman based episode would rock.

Not to forget a Dorothy-based episode, either. Sure, we have The Greatest Villain, but how about an assignment that Dorothy tackles 90% on her own? She could demonstrate her android powers yet again... robot pwnage never, never gets old.
Never.

A third season is a good idea, as long as it keeps the series shrouded in mystery. So far they're only keeping production of the series in mystery. But I did see a series of "bumps" on Adult Swim during an episode of Pee Wee. "IMPORTANT REMINDER" "Production on Big O Season Three" "continues to cease to begin indefinitely". So they were basically making fun and trying to confuse people. "Continues to cease". Which means they do know and they're trying to throw people off the trail, or they don't know and are describing their lack of knowledge in a most peculiar fashion. Meh.

I saw those bumps as well. And I don't think they point to anything. AS is just pissing off die hard Big O fans.

Well remeber we had to wait 4 years last time. so next year around spring or fall Japan might get a 3rd season, then a few months later we get one.

That wouldn't be too bad of a wait. You know they're going to. They know how many people want it to happen. Plus they'd get a big chunk from the DVD sales.

I wouldn't mind a sort of remix/remake movie or OVA.
That kind of retold the story from begining to end more concretely. I head RahXephon had something similar?
Anyone know more about that?

It was just the anime, spliced together into a very fast paced, badly told movie.

After watching the anime, the RahXephon movie made me laugh. It was so obvious they said "let's cut out all the unnecessary crap, move this character here, shift that one there.... bingo, we can fit the story arc into two hours!"
Not really a fan of RahXephon though. Despite that, I do realize it's a top-quality production. It's beautiful to look at and listen to, the designs are cool... but the female cast is waaaaay too hot!

Completely honestly, I think that when some people say "you just know they're gonna make one eventually", they're just trying to convince themselves because they want it to be true. Really, I'm extremely grateful for the miracle that was season 2, I mean as far as I know, a foreign network stepping in like that to provide the impetus and funding for a new season due to fan demand is unprecedented, and probably unlikely to happen again, especially considering AS's treatment of the idea so far. The second season may have left a bunch of things unclear and unanswered, but at least it gave us a general ending and left us to figure it out, which season one did not really have. Sure, I'd love a season three, but I'm not going to get my hopes up and can at least be satisfied with what we have.

Heya! Everyone who wants to see a Third Season, tell us what you'd like to see! The more specific the better, of course.
And Season Three naysayers, don't poop on this party. Speculation is fun and, you never know, sometimes wishes get granted from unexpected sources...
