FALSE ALARM:

These commercials are for Sealab 2021 season 3 DVD's. ( I think )

Bah. That's what part of me thought as well. Damn, I thought it was a sign but none the less I won't give up my hope for a season 3. Smile

Why did you kill christmas for me!!?!?! I saw the commercial like 7 times and to see who the guy is in the lunchbox, you would have to look at the screen upsidedown. I'll do that tonight.

All we need to see now...is for AS to tease us using this for a chant..."Dorothy, Dorothy....Dorothy" and then it will NOT be possible to misinterpret their meaning. I'm sorry...but I believe the clues released so far are too cryptic to suggest only a DVD release. And quite honestly...it does sound strange to suggest that's all AS is promoting...a DVD release of a show I've never seen on on AS. Just my thoughts on this matter.

I'm pretty sure that Tom Goes to the Mayor is not yet in it's second season. If it is, it just began. Either way, I think it would be a little premature to be promoting a third season for it anyway.

I'm actually not ruling out that AS knew how much we the fans wanted a third season of Big O so they did what they could to make the release of the Sealab Season 3 set look like promos for Big O season 3 down to the guy in the suit opening the suitcase and the supposed Roger's watch. I don't even think they showed the title on the Sealab thing, I think it was covered up by a strap or something. So unless anyone had seen a picture of the sealab cover, they would be completely lost or think that it was a cryptic message about another season of Big O.

Isn't GitS: Man Machine Interface just a manga? I haven't heard of it being made into an anime. So technically speaking, Ghost in the Shell is only in its second season (SAC: 2nd Gig). And MMI doesn't exist as an anime (I don't think). There's also a video game for the PS2 floating around there somewhere, you could have seen that or the new/old openings which were done in CG.

They did it deliberately, believe me. It isn't the first time.

I don't understand why the AS staff would deliberately set out to tick off a sizable block of their viewers. Do you think these ambigious commercials are their way of testing to see how much demand there actually may be for a third season of Big O?

I want Season 3 dammit and I want it right now!!!!!!!
Sir Nise 07-14-2005 12:20 AM
Adult swim is officially off of my TV friends list (you're next TRL....you're next...). Why did they play games with my heart, they're tearingl me apart. They need to stop playing games with my heart. I should have know from the start, they're tearing me apart. STOP PLAYING GAMES WITH MY HEART, Adult Swim!!!!!!! (Backsteet Boys ref.)

*go crys in corner because AS is a shady bunch of Ataliens.*

If I go to Georgia Tech, then I'll drive right down the street and give them a special visit......from my grandmother who loves Aqua Teen. Sealab is OK...I guess....

This wouldn't be the first time that AS has done something like this.

I wish AS would atleast give it a shot. Season 3 is probably lying around somewhere on William's Street. I didn't think that the execs would have hatred towards specific shows, but it seems some of them hate Big O. Maybe one day, season 3 will come about and hopefully solve all of our questions.

Yeah that would be so nice or maybe it would even create more questions! As far as I know it seems that AS and CN are bascially ignorning us or maybe they are just trying to throw us for a loop or only thing to do is keep asking them nicely and wait.

They weren't very nice to Big O fans right along... like the whole Stripes debacle--the whole attitude was "what a bunch of losers" and it was sad.

They did that little "garden" promo a few months ago as well...

A 3rd Season would be good. It should tells us about the true story and the past of Alex, Beck, Roger and Angel. I want to know!!! Schwarzwald to, Big Duo picked hem for a reason and I want to know why? He truth seeker need to know the truth.

Here's some scenes I PRAY will be in a third season Roll Eyes :

-Roger kissing Dorothy (probably y'all thought of that before)

-Beck. No really, thats it.

-Norman and Schwartzwald chatting with tea and crumpits. Cool

-Dorothy being pregnant. Shocked Hey, it could happen!

-Roger and Dorothy exploring the Super Dome. (My interpretation of the grand Super dome is a large recording studio)

-Dororthy kicking the ass of Alan Gabriel. (I CRIED WHEN Dororthy WAS IN TROUBLE, DANG IT!) Crying

-Roger discovers the amazing truth of Paradigm (cause I BELIEVE theres still one truth)

-A musical number!

-Finally, a Norman episode! Would that not be the finest, old guy-action packed adventurous episode you'd ever see? It'd be like Grumpy Old Men only with guns and explosives! YAY! Smile

Anywho, thats all I'll touch on the moment. Oh, one more thing:

(I taped Adult Swim once, and it said this at the end. I'm paraphrasing.)

Hey y'all. Who wants a third season of Big O? Right, all of us. (DO WE EVER!) Now all we gotta do is approach our heartless bosses to do it! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

Curse you, Adult Swim, and your accursed -- wait. Thats redundent. Smile

Is it safe to assume there hasn't been any Green Light to the 3rd season?

I am kinda on the rope about a 3rd season. Sure it would be great to get that excitement up agian when watching the Big O(Please don't make a joke about what I just said Pleased )... but what can they possibly put through well.

Assuming they were to continue the series before the part Adult swim Cut Off. (The going back to the begining of season one) which wouldactually make most sense, how could they really continue the series after the massive ending from season 2?

Sure they can put in more separate mysteries from season 1, but can they be pulled off well? Will Rogers passive attitude that sparked so much discussion still exist? Half the amazment of the series for me was that the main character just didn't need to know everything out there.

He was an individual! Like a real, rational person!

I think the affect of the ending of Season 2 on roger woulod make him want to know everything, turn him into a Schwarzwald(No I don't think Roger is Schwarzwald, it is way too picky, just the fact that Roger would not stop till he really knows everything).

And if they made the 3rd season to explain the holes of Season 1 and 2...well...I'm not sure if that will make the series any better. For me, what makes The Big O so much higher above other series(Dispite the more realistic, powerful, mech battles, and the style and setting) is the fact that the main character chooses to let things go, and that half the mysterys you see, just aren't solved in thier entirety.

No one EVER saw that ending coming! You couldn't predict what was really going to happen next for most of The Big O.

I'm proberly being realy stupid, but I'm in the UK, I've got Sky and I first watched Big O on Toonami/cartoon network *kills CN for taking off Big O*.
What/where is Adult Swim? Can I get it or is it only a western hemisphere thing/ cable? I'm really confused.
------------------------------
If THEY did do a season 3, I think THEY'd have to:
1. Restart Paradigm, like they do at the end and redo EVERY act, perhaps, Roger never meets Dorothy... Or meet her and vaguely remembers her, scared because he's not sure where he knows her from he never works for her and so they never really get to know one enother, Roger would die at the end before negotiating with Angel.
/
Meeting Dorothy and OBVIOSLY (more than all ready) falling for her (perhaps the orgional Dorothy, the one at the end of act 26 sure looks different... And taller o_0), and Angel having very little part to play in the romance side of things. Or vice versa.

2. THEY could do a prequal, where it's Roger and Gordan (*prods photo*)

3. Did it so the whole this is Dorothy and Angel hiding the truth from Roger who has lost his memorys again.

Its like Toonami. Both are programming blocks, toonami in the afternoon, [adult swim] is late(r) night version of it. If you dont hear anything about it on CN, dont worry. Its just something for us uptight yanks.
