The long version is much worse. Take that as a warning or as something to look forward too. It's PG, but there are evil household appliances involved.
And yes, Dastun WOULD make more sense, but with only two primary female leads, you go with what you got. Also, I think that "Buckethead Vera" would just frighten small children and woodland creatures.... I just assured that some one is going to draw that within the hour, didn't I?
