At any rate I think you are kind of getting off topic here. I mean its a pretty simple question: "who would win in a fight a big or an eva?" and then most people defend their answer with what they see as justifiable reasoning. Secondly its because they are just anime shows that we can say that neither one has a definite possibility to win over the other and thus debate your reasoning over another's. More so even though they are animes its not like they don't follow some laws of science. After all its not like you see the bigs or evas floating because of a lack of gravity.... Now then I don't suppose it would be healthy to get angry over one’s opposition within this thread but should one see a need to, one should try and justify one’s reasoning with more post. Personally I see this thread as a means to debate whether or not a big would win against an eva not as a means to debate whether we should have a debate about whether or not a big would win against an eva.

Also as far as I am concerned the battle would have more to it than just the machines themselves. The pilots would also be important in the outcome. Although truth be told I would probably root for a big against an eva.

BIG O more or less owned the EVA Series Model - it was just handing them the victory. They should have done Evangelion 01.

The guy who runs the fights hasn't been convinced. Maybe if we got four or five people pestering him in quick succession, we'd be able to push him into doing something?

Me, ScionofDestiny, maybe Agent Paper, and a person of two we know from SBO. That shouldn't be difficult at all.

If you wanna do it, wanna do it monday? By then we can muster a person or two from SBO.

Too bad I love MP Evas. But MP Evas are also built to attack in groups not alone. I mean Eva-02 destroyed Nine of them easily...granted....they reactivated...and well....ate Unit Two....I'd like to see Unit 00 with the Lance of Longinus take on Big O, or Unit Two take on Big Fau...simply because watching Alex and Asuka fight would be hilarious....they both get all bug eyed and talk to their dead parents....But the best match up would be between Unit 01 and Big Venus. Either way humans lose. Also what about character match ups? Rei vs Angel or something.

Meh, I normally avoid threads like this but, really Eva's > Bigs. With the exception of Venus, the other big's are easy prey for the eva's. And this coming from a non fanboy of Eva.

Well I think most Evas would destroy the Bigs....except for one thing...the Bigs seem to carry heavier armor and weaponry....the Evas only have one onboard weapon....their crummy prog knives. And actually Glinda might be able to take an Eva....she's unusually agile for an megadeus...and she carries both beam weapons, a number of physical weapons, and her sword that looks a bit like a prog knife....it might be able to cut through an AT field employed by an Eva.

Bigs have disgustingly heavy weaponry and armor, while Evas can move a lot better, but are less armored and armed. I admit I haven't seen much NGE, but I would give it to the Eva. It could run around, dodging whatever was thrown at it, and just jam a knife into the cockpit. That and the Eva pilots are at least somewhat militarily trained, while Roger and gang really don't have very good tactics. They just stand there and shoot one weapon at a time, not really moving a whole lot.

One thing though, would the Eva be stuck to its extension cord or not? Because if it was, that would be a huge disadvantage, the Big could just waltz up, shrugging off its fire and unplug it. But then the Eva would have however many minutes of flipping-out time right up in the Big's grille. Hmm.

Some of the Evas are equipped with S2 engines so they don't need the energy supply cables. Eva-01 literally ate Zeruel the 14th Angel to obtain his S2 engine....which just made SEELE ever so happy...and All Evas from unit-04 up were built with S2 engines so they wouldn't need cables....poor Unit 04 however....blew up during it's activation test so it was never shown...however you can get a model of it...it's freakin awesome.
But MP Eva also weren't made for Eva vs Eva combat, they were mostly just designed to assist SEELE in their version of 3rd Impact, which seemed to entail eating unit 02, lifting unit 01 in to orbit, and in NERV's plan "merging" with Giant Naked Rei. Don't ask me....the End of Evangelion actually succeeds in being more bizarre than the ending episodes of Big O.

I think the Bigs are cooler than Evas but realistically they're in two different leauges.

Bigs are huge, lumbering, and slow. Evas are huge, agile, and fast. Evas have the added protection of the AT-Field, Bigs just have heavy metal armor though granted we've seen it take a lot of punisment before breaking so who knows what kind of alloy it is.

It's true an AT-Field can be taken out by extremely powerful weapons but I don't see any robot short of Shin Getter Robo being able to do it. Final Stage might be Big-O's only effective attack and I doubt an Eva would stand still long enough for Roger to use it.

So I agree with most people, Eva's with power cords... I'm sure Roger is smart enough to take it out and hopefully survive long enough for the Eva to run out of power. Other than that with the exception of Big Venus which has god-like powers similar to Ideon the Evas are deadlier.

As for who would win, I think it could go either way. If you put Evas in Paradigm City, Big O would win because of home arena advantage, lack of power cords, and psychological effects. (Seriously, imagine Shinji in Paradigm City, it would be like a train wreck. And Dorothy vs. Asuka? Heh, and she thought Rei was bad...)

However, if you put Big O in Tokyo 3, assuming Roger didn't just decide to take it easy and become a country tomato farmer or fight the angels alongside the Evas, Big O would probably be in a whole world of hurt.

Depends what model of Eva vs what model of Big and location, and then either a lilith angel/rei combination beginning Revelation, the end times, or just worring everyone to death or Angel/Big Venus restarting everything and just getting everyones life going on
