I just got the platinum edition volume one an it was the frist i had seen the shwo an i like it a lot, im gonna keep buying them casue i was quite impressed
I have a quick question bout the 2 movies, Once i finally get round to seeing the series is it worth watching Death and Rebirth at all? Going from reviews and the description on the case its just a look back + the first bit of End of Evangelion

Not really...I mean, I suppose you could if you want a recap of the series, but my suggestion is to simply bypass Death and Rebirth unless you're a diehard fan.
The End of Evangelion, on the other hand, is certainly something every Evangelion fan should see, diehard or not.

Of course, Barrin does raise a good point (see post below); one which I admit did slip my mind...I'm still of the opinion Death and Rebirth could be bypassed, however.

The movie lays out the series in a new format, giving you a fresh perspective on thing, plus it adds some tidbits on how things occured (the day of second impact, gendo's hand). Some of these are revealed in the Director's cut DVDs, I think.
