Act 25 S-Dome

I was watching act 25 on my computer and I noticed somthing. The superdome is not a solid dome! Maybe not dome at all. Its just a criss-cross grid of girders and lights with 3 layers.

It's small to preserve quality, but you can see the 3 layers and the coloration of the clouds over it, it may not show up in the picture, but those are clouds above those girders:



It means the sky is real (not including act 26 events).

Well that would explain why stuff like the satallite was able to fall through. Unfortunatly, it doesn't explain why the superdome is there in the first place.

The one thing that bugs me is why there are clouds above the super-dome. It's high enough to be well above Paradigm's constant cloud cover, so one would imagine that it'd start getting almost towards outer space, or at least be above the highest clouds. Yet threre's still enough atmostphere for clouds above it as well. Weird.

Woah, thats pretty cool, but maybe the satillite didn't actually fall through, maybe it was a prop that was ment to be lowered on stage.....

Upon further inspection, I think that it would be entierly possible for it to be solid, it is possible that there are more then three layers of lights, and to me, it doesn't look like clouds as much as it looks like lit up metal.

what makes people think its a dome? It doesnt look concave. Its a stage.

Well, because of the fact that's its so freakin' huge it wouldn't looked curved. Can you see that actual roundness of the Earth?

even that big you would see some type of curve. I still think its simply a stage as they have said so many times in the show including the last act.

But the clouds were obscuring most of it, until it finally dissappeared.

if you look at act 26. the stage lights go straight and not curve down like a dome.

There is no evidence that its a dome.

god this stage is huge.

One thing I always thought was weird about the dome/light rig/fake sky/whatever was that nobody seemed to care it was there. The clouds dissapeared, and nobody shouted "What in the HELL is that gigantic metal thing hanging precariously over all our heads?" It could have been because they were too busy dodging chunks of debris falling from it, I guess, but it's still a little weird to me.

Well you can't see it in my picture but im damn sure that the dome is not solid. Just some layers of lighting.

I always assumed it was solid dome. It might not even be a dome.

All we have are 3 layers of a criss-cross grid of lighting.

Why would they need lighting? Who knows......

Also in ep 25 just for a second I saw a barcode in Vera's eyes when gordon says that the union never existed.

1. If the "Superdome" is a real dome, then it really must be very large, because Schwartzvald never even came close to seeing the edge, even after months of wandering away from the City.

2. I noticed in acts 25-26 that when you get a shot including a Big and its surroundings, the lights from the S-Dome extend all the way down to the horizon. If it isn't a real dome, then it must be so large that it COVERS THE ENTIRE PLANET. All the world's a stage takes on a new meaning. Though it may be a trick of perspective that makes it seem so large...

3. The S-Dome Was probably designed to operate exactly in that level of cloud cover, to make sure the clouds stayed there. It might have actually made them. A giant Smoke Machine.

the 2nd season animation gets more and more beautiful every time i see it again. especially the last few episodes. Hydra, War of Paradigm City, and Show must go on are my favorites. the war of paradigm city the best one IMO.

the outer dome, has an effect to it that creats the sky. i think a better question instead of is it solid, is what's on the out side. is it like reboot, whear its a world in it's self self contained. or is it an enclosed space on earth, like a bio dome. it dos have all tundra. so what's on the out side, is it a post apoptilictic world? or are their people walking around out side, looking at it thinking "man that big o show has a huge sound stage... hummm i wonder...

No, when you look at the sky, it looks flat, otherwise people would have realized about the world being round long before they did.

however you do see a horizon. many poets call the sky itself a dome.

I still say it looks round.
