Confused about Season 2?Or anything else?...me too! Doesn't anyone have any answers???

The Big O companion book doesn't reveal anything about what's going on, it just confirms the stuff most people already figured out (i.e. Angel/Big Venus being symbolic of Lucifer). Oh, and it gives one clue, that the original event happened on April 13, 2018, for all the amount of difference that makes. Sorry, I don't consider confirming easily reached conclusions and a random date as explaining too much.

I've never been particularly bothered by confusing endings. (So sue me.)

What I *did* get out of ep 26 the first time around was that the whole thing was a big experiment run amuck like the worlds of "Dark City" or "Thirteenth Floor."

The whole point of the experiement appeared to be for Angel to recover specific memories/knowledge, whether her own or someone else's. Hence the preoccupation with memories.

But those living within the experiment had developed their own agendas and started going down unpredicted paths (Schwartzwald looking for the real truth to their world, Alex Rosewater looking for godhood, the Megadeuses and other relics from previous runs resurfacing, etc.)

To me, the ending was that since she had the power to set everything back to a state before all this destruction, she did, forfeiting the completion of the experiment (her goal) to save everyone.

But what do I know?

It seems that a third season was planned and the only real obstacle in its way is money: http://www.paradigm-city.com/forums/thre...eadid=3149&sid=

Therefore I postpone I'll my whining about the last 10 minutes of act 26 in the hopes that it might eventually be explained.

It's interesting, but I'm a little mindboggled. It's all about paradigms. And because of that you can't really hold on to anything you see. Of course, I already know too much by reading this board.

One thing that seems consistent is the focus on Biblical themes. Roger quotes the Bible in this episode.

The Japanese have a very unique perspective on Western ideals, informed by the atomic bomb being dropped on them. This is a reoccurring theme, and I understand it.

Is it possible that they are commenting on the paradigms of the Western concept of God and Christianity? Questioning it?

It gives interviews and episode summaries. I am curious to see how the producers summarize the last episodes.

bump, THey cut out the ending scene of act 26!

Sloppy editing to allow for a more commercials? OR sercret plot for a season 3.... most likley the first one.

Obviously they have little respect the the big o, even after they bought a giant big o model.

And make no mistake, that's what we're dealing with in Act 26.

When the show's conclusion has to be left to fan speculation... When those fans take weeks and still can't decide on one accepted theory... That's a failure on the part of the author to communicate his story. And pulling a deus ex machina (Big Venus) completely out of thin air in the last ten minutes of the series is just plain bad writing.

I agree with most of what you've said. However, it might not look so bad in retrospect if there is a season three.

SEason 3 is this magic solution to all our problems. But right now its up in the air.

IF AS would just put the rumor to rest either yes to season 3 or no, (I hope yes). Then alot of this arguing could stop.

If act 26 is the last episode, I'm dissapointed.

I mean they made 13 new episodes on a show with a small fanbase, and now there are tons more fans than ever before. They can't just walk away.

Ugh...I hadn't seen the ending to Ranma yet. Please use a spoiler space next time.
