It's the miracle of direct capture from a DVD-R player. If you can grab the picture in its original 720x480 glory, the rest is easy.
I still use the eyedropper tool to grab colors and then fill areas with them to make them look more like the origiinal cels (such as Angel's jumpsuit having one highlight color and one shadow color). Video tends to muddy these up. It makes a HUGE difference on frames captured with my TV tuner card. It's optional with the DVDs.
The battle-oriented panoramic pictures that Evan and Piano Black are posting are breathtaking. I'm more fan-service oriented, myself. But I'll bet you noticed that

Nice poem, also didn't I see that same scene in a horror flick once, only with a different girl and the monster had more teeth? And if that is her new admirerer, she is better off with the louse, or Beck even. (Or us

)
Oh well, even if not a very nice job all around.

Reminds me of a line from a TV show where the main male character gets asked by a reoccureing female guest star "Mabye we could get together sometime when you don't need a favor from me?" (a work related favor)
Now that I think about that, Roger owes her a new car. After all it was Big O's entrence that caused her car to fall and be destroyed.

While we're on the topic of Angel...
In "Underground Terror" I tried to do that near full body pan when Roger meets her in Paradigm HQ...but the thing is it wasn't really a regular pan...the background moved down when the camera went up.
I want to just advise that those things ARE REALLY FRIGGIN HARD TO GET RIGHT x_X
I gave up on it tho
But I think I'll try to do one of Big Duo next

heh
*EDIT*
DONE! This isn't really a TRUE Panoramic pic

But hell it looks cool anyways!
Shows you what this would have looked like if that window was a few stories taller!
BIG DUO! ES IST SHOWZEIT!

Neat! We need more pans with Schwarzwald in them.
The church from "Winter Night Phantom":
It still doesn't line up quite right, but I think it's a lovely shot nonetheless.

Close enough. That is one serious church. Anyone in or has been to New York know if this church accually exists?

That looks a whole helluva lot like St. Patrick's.
Which is on 5th Avenue, near Rockefeller Center, in midtown, which means it would probably be under a dome.
The spires look a little bit too tall, though. And I'm not entirely sure, but I think on the real church, one of the spires is smaller than the other.

Cool-o-rific! I know what you mean about things that aren't "really" panoramic -- the scene I did with Angel's car is like that. She passed Roger in the car, and there was no point where he wasn't obscuring part of the car until she was all the way past him. So I took something like six framesj. He was obscuring a different part of the car in each, and I got an unobscured car that way. Fortunately, the background was very simple and hardly had to be fixed up at all.
The pan of Angel you mentioned is the opposite, where Angel is the easy part but the background has to be reconstructed.
