I played with Fau and this is what I got...

All you have to do is play with the channels/levels to make sure the colors match up. The real problem is when something is left out of the two shots and doesnt match up properly.

OH YAY! I love the Big O pics. That Fau has improved! I am SOOO going to try this...I just need to make sure the one I DO have saved hasn't been done.

(I understand that a lot haven't been done. When I watched an episode, trying to capture certain pictures for drawing references, I noted a LOT of panoramic scenes.)

TV tuner cards are really cheap. I bought one for about $50 from Computer Gate (www.computergate.com -- low prices, but almost no customer service). You can program them to record shows automatically and everything, assuming the PC stays on. Running video cables to your PC might be a nuisance, though.

For people who like messing with computers, an old Series 1 TiVo hacked with the modifications you can find on the Internet or in books like "Hacking TiVo" will record the shows for you and give you access to them over an Ethernet LAN. Pretty spiffy.

I use an un-hacked TiVo AND a tuner card, which is far less convenient than either of the methods above.

Is there a program that will let me take pictures in video clips? I've already tried using Snagit and it didn't work. I also tried a few others. I wanna make panoramic pics but I can't take pictures from clips.

Paradigm Skyline (Act 14)

This one was a little hard near the end because of the parallax effect in the background. The video clip I got it from was low quality too.

Man, pans can be hard ><

I tried to do a pan of Eugene's face (when he's talking to Dorothy and it pans over to his creepy yellow teeth) but it didn't work.

I'm going to try a pan of Big Duo standing infront of Big O

so...

NO ONE ELSE DO IT!! @@

I love the window shopping! It gives you a nice sense of what Paradigm may have been like.

FEAR ME FOR THE ORIGINAL KING OF PANORAMA IS BACK!!

This one was hard to do because the fire in teh backgroud kept shifting...

Anyone wanna try their luck at it? Be my guest...I spent a half on hour working on it and it looks better like this than anything I was able to try :-/

I can try to fix it up. You should use Photoshop on problems like these. Your best friends will be the brush tool, smudge tool, and polygonal lasso.
evanASF27 02-02-2004 12:31 AM
good luck...*sarcasm* it's hard as hell, and I'm the guy who was able to get Dastun adn the platoon to work! Even Beck and Dorothy was a little off set in some way...but this one is one of the hard pans to do.

Good luck sir...YOU WILL NEED IT! *goes off to bed*

The bridge section kinda got too fuzy so I decided to just mess around with the frames until it looked good Smile
