Well, if this fellow hates you, then I am sure it is because of three reasons.

A. A misunderstanding caused by communication problems between you. Sometimes we use silence and subtle hints to insinuate something, but the message wasn't taken correctly. Being the big dumb animal that I am, I found (through help of my PCF friends) that insinuations can be the root of this kind of trouble. Don't make assumptions. If you have a question, ask him! You will be surprise of the answer you get.

I did. And guess what answer I got. I got a message deleted.

How rude. Even I would not have done that. That's just mean and rude. (sorry for double posting)

Yes, but some people don't have the proper manners or courtesy to respond to another’s remarks. If the person said he/she wasn't interested, then it is okay. You don't have to like (in a romantic way) someone who likes you. But, to keep silent or ignore a person could only mean one of three things:

1. They don't know how to respond, but intend to at a more opportune time. This, of course, can lead to misunderstandings and hurtful feelings.

2. They'd like to return the feelings but are too shy to post it so everyone can see. There is nothing wrong with it, as long as you as PM that person and give them a proper response.

3. He/She doesn't want to hurt the person's feelings because they don't share the same sentiment. There is an inherent hurt that comes with this territory. Unfortunately, silence is not the best way to handle it. It can hurt the other person in many ways. First of all, the person may feel they have to work harder for your affections. This can lead to endless attempts of trying to “win over" their interests heart. After a while of these futile attempts, the person will feel as though the have failed. This can lead to many repricusions. The worst of them all is hatred.

This is coming from a person who had a few deep crushes. Personally, I don't have shallow ones, so I don't know how to let go at the appropriate time. So, if a person doesn't tell me how they really feel about me, I can go with a crush indefinitely; and this is bad. So, to avoid this problem, it's best to tell someone how you really feel about them.

I have more crushes than IQ numbers (138is the IQ number i refer to), And I only believe that I should have to deal with these reactions, I never like to see ppl hurt in that manner. You should always respond, even if it is just a simple "no."

whoa, I don't think I can catch up with all 50 pages of this thread. I'm just curious for those who admitted to having crushes on people in this forum whether they've even seen any of the people they have crushes on ? I'm assuming most people saw a picture or something in the picture thread?

If not, kudos to you.... I don't think I could ever develop a crush on someone who I haven't met in real life at least once or twice or more....
I'm just way too superficial ^_^

Crushes tend to be superficial by nature. It is the exaggeration of a few qualities that clouds ones perception towards another. I did admit my crush once and it was barely based on looks. I happily admit that my crush was based on personality, sense of human and above all, Intelligence (more to the point, perception). Though I doubted anything would've happened from it, I publicly admitted to it. There is nothing wrong with superficiality; especially if you like someone and willing get to know them. It's when a person blinds themselves and allows their crush to become an obsession where the problem lay.

I know with my crush, I had a hard time getting this person notice the real me (only a handful of people know). So, I yielded to reality and acknowledge the fact that I would make a better friend than a romantic partner to this person. This is cool with me.

With the exception of the Tessers, who else developed a strong relationship from internet?

Well... you never know.

I fell in love with someone through their art before. Couldn't get her to notice me, even by being direct and talking to her... I finally got her attention BY DUN DUN DUN - doing an art piece as a reply to hers and entering it at a fair... then she told me she thought it was sweet... but that I was too young!??! I was the same age she was damnit!!! Then she moved. Boo-hoo. Boo-hoo.

I did-- a couple of people-- for a time, but... hmm.

It seems I've fallen in love with the bassist of J-rock band Psycho le Cemu, despite having only met him once in my life. >D

So what's your plan for making him yours? Does it involve potions? Perhaps you'll impress him by jumping out of a cake? Does climbing walls in a skintight jumpsuit figure into this anywhere? Will your legions of winged monkeys snatch him out of an open-air ampitheatre in the middle of a concert, leaving behind nothing but his guitar and his hitherto unsuspected hairpiece?

I'm sure that you're not going to take this lying down!

Let's see...
I never try to go based on looks. I always try to make sure that I like their personality first. But I make exceptions.

Sorry about that. I meant no disrespect. I am not very observant when it comes to things that are social. I guess my technical preferences blinded me.

As I'm sure all of you know, there are a lot of the people on here, who are absoloutely wonderful people. I really enjoy talking to all of you. a lot. Almost an obsessively lot. Ok, not obsessively, but close to it!

Anyway, I'm finding I"m developing a teency crush on someone new. As I haven't talked to them a ton, I kind of hesitate to say it, but he's funny and cool from what i know..
