This is all very funny and very disterbing all at the same time. As for the poster I haven't seen it so I have no idea if what you are saying is true.

You think that's bad? You should talk to ACT in person on this matter. It will make your head spin.

Speaking of which, do you think Big O gets some "satisfaction" from his encounters with the other Bigs and Megadeuces? I think he does (hence his name), but what do you think?

I don't know the only time it looked like Big O got really excitied was when he and Big Fau were going to have a show down. But then the Minute Big Venus came out Big O just threw his giant "Finial Stage" buster thingy to the side??

I thougth Big O and Big Venus would go together but I guess Big O and Big Fau could work too!

This happens, more or less, in my fanfiction Season 4, which starts here:

A.C.T.'s Season 4. ACT 40: THE RETURN OF ALAN GABRIEL. Mature Content! PG-13

Though the hot robot action isn't until the second episode.

O_X Ah yes. I remember that. I read the first few episodes of season 4, haven't had time to read the others.
Damn that was bizarre. Creative, original, and well written but bizzare.

*twitch twitch* Maybe this is just my oppinion, but if I had to choose a gender for Big Fau, it would be male. So...erm...

What is this thread talknin' bout. Siunce when were homosexual robots OK? Big O-Big Venus, OK. But, Big O- Big Fau....now that's just not cool. Robots don't have emotions anyway(excluding R. Dorothy), they are mindless killing machines! Mindless!

I would have to contradict you on that one, dude. It seems Big O had feeling for R. Dorothy during his/hers/its battle with Bonaparte. If not, he wouldn't have insisted on Roger leaving him to rescue R. Dorothy. That seemed pretty emotional action to take. At least, that's my take on it.

I'm going to have to second Tony on this one (like you didn't see that coming). The personalities of the Bigs have played a large part of the story so far. Because he's the one we see most often we're more familiar with Big O personality than the other two(?) bigs. Big O's revolt againist Roger in act 20 is culmination protest. Amoung other things Roger had forgotten that he and Big O were a team, neither completely subservent to the other.

Take the example of Dorothy. Roger never considers her to be deserving of respect until he sees that she has emotions. Since Konaka is using robots to explore aspects of humanity it stands to reason that what's applicable to one robot (Dorothy) is applicable also to another (Big O). A partnership is heavily grounded in mutual respect. When Roger returns from saving Dorothy in act 21 he re-enters Big O's cockpit with renewed respect not only for Big O, but also for their partnership. We can see Roger's consideration of Big O feelings in the what Roger tells Big O when he gets back; "I have always called you to battle but now it is you who has called me to action, isn't that right? That's okay, you don't have to answer"

There's an interesting pyschology at work in Big O regarding the robots (big and small). Most pieces of science fiction I've seen that involve robots in explorating what makes us human do so by showcasing a robot's inhuman traits. The Big O too uses robots to explore this question of what makes us human but by emphasizing the robot's very human traits. In effect this causes us, the viewer to look beyond are comfy notion that we, natural humans, are inheriently superior because we were blessed to be more of organic flesh and blood.

Oh it's the thread that will not end... it just goes on and on, my friend...

I'm actually glad to see this resurrected, as it's too funny to let die.

Tony, I'd have to agree with you on this. Hmm...good job backing it up, too.

Though I do agree with Sir Nise on the fact that gay robots are NOT ok! (That's what I was trying to say earlier....)

Gay robots aren't okay? If you mean in a moral stand point, I am sure there are many who would disagree. How a person feels for another cannot be invalidated with archaic views against homosexuality.

Having said that, we have to ask ourselves this: Aren't all relationships with robots and androids to be as socially unacceptable as a gay one or something? I mean, what would Dorothy say she is? Is she a woman? Scientifically, no she isn't. She wasn’t born with the reproductive organs to reproduce offspring. However, she was created by Dr. Waynewright to be a girl. So, if she were to have a relationship with Roger, what does that say about Roger and her? I mean, she isn't having "relations" with another member of her own species. Since she isn't biologically a woman, she isn't having a heterosexual relationship (given the strictest definition of the term “heterosexual relations”). In fact it wouldn’t be considered a homosexual one either. It maybe classified as an interspecies relationship. Does that make it any less valid? Does that change how Roger feels about Dorothy or vice-versa?

Personally, if Big O, Big Fau or Big Duo were classified as male (we really don't know what gender they may be designed to be) and to have relations with each other, that's their own deal. If Big O was to fall for Big Fau, and vice-versa, it really isn’t our place to denounce or judge it. It isn’t any less valid than Roger and Dorothy or that of a typical heterosexual relationship.

Anyway, I will end my ranting with this: Go Big O!

I fully agree with you Tony! And while I don't have a detailed reply to your post, I think these two drawings make up for that. Big Grin

Ok now that is just wrong.

But why have Big in their name? Clearly they are trying to compensate for something.
syous 07-13-2005 10:40 PM
Well I must say, the first battle has begun. It is Syous vs. the Hentai Kids. Stay away from my ice cream. And apparently after this thread, stay away from anything metal in the shape of a human.

To the starter of this thread, there is a movie coming out soon about a 40 year old virgin. You are married, so it is safe to assume that you have lost your virginity...but is it safe to assume your wife is indeed human? How can we know for sure that you didn't create an android to post and play the role of your wife?

Damn hentai kids.

This is certainly a novel variant on the unanswerable question "have you stopped beating your wife?" I can only say that, having been present at the birth of our two sons, I can speak with some certainty on my meatbag-ness.

OK, Tony, you win, I guess my opinion is overshadowed by philosophy and theories. The moralities behind all of it is a matter of opinion though. Those pics made me laugh R. Smith. Pleased

*nods* Damn, didn't mean for it to go in that direction. So I won't put my oppinion on the subject down - instead, I'll put my oppinion on who Big O should choose for the Megadie prom! ( Happy Yes, I know I excel at being a complete moron when I'm hyper, sorry about that!) Glinda all the way - it's the only thing he could afford (sorry, Glinda just SCREAMS 2-cent whore to me, in the megadie world at least) once Duo Inferno steps in the room! (Steps in the room? More like flys into the dome via ceiling!) Well, I can only guess - he's gotta have the snazziest paint job of the megadie!

Questioning the existence of a geek's sex life hit such interesting walls around this place Big Grin

As for Glinda being a two-bit whore, Mrs. Beck; whenever I see Glinda I just think Galinda. She may not have been in that particular line of work but I think we all will agree there were a few misplaced cogs with that dame.

Yes, you have a point...yet those wannabe hands of hers pose a problem. Some how I have a feeling that Big O would avoid asking her to dance with him. Now that would just be painful.
