[Edit: Threads merged, but it looks like the poll got lost in the transfer... --Krang]
So... all hail. I've finally submitted myself to the power of Lupin.
Well, more specifically, the power of Goemon. Though note that Jigen was the one to win over a spot as my avatar. Purr purr purr.
We need more shameless pandering to the female fanbase is what we need. But then, like Umino said, I guess we DO get a shot of Goemon's butt in every episode. I swear, the man's more regularly naked than Samurai Jack.
Goemon: the woman's Fujiko.
Jigen: the THINKING WOMAN'S Fujiko.
*twitters* I have an avatar tucked away somewhere that would horrify you all.

I totally agree with you, Xel. Goemon
But for me, it's more Lex Lang's voice...

, which is one of the reasons why I like Sanosuke from Kenshin.
Anyway, I was so bummed that Tuesday was the last episode. I wanted to see more of them.

PS. I'm intrigued by this horrific avatar also.

Yea- I wanna see this "horrifying" avatar.
Lupin is the sweetness! I need to start buying that on DVD... if only I had more money....
Ah well- I need to finish Big O season 2 first. Just one more to go!
*giggle* Kay, you asked for it.
<------
I don't think I'm gonna keep it up for long, though, just because it's someone's art and I wasn't able to track her down to get her permission to use it. ^^ But I did wanna show it off. :B
Dude. Lex Lang's voice = god. I mean, Goemon's had like a bazillion Japanese actors playing him in the past, but they were all great too. ESPECIALLY the late Shiozawa Kaneto. Sexiest voice ever. Shame he's dead. ;_;
Since I have no money, I have to sit here and wait for AS to bring us more. It's unpleasant. *sulk* Usually fanstuff keeps me sated until then, but there like... ISN'T any for Lupin III. This must be changed!

That's horrifying??? It's interesting that Jigen is the aggressor in that. LOL!

I don't think he'll do it again after Goemon decides to leave his staff outside one freezing night

I have not really found any depth in the show. : l
(please don't hurt me!)

*smirks*
Of course we wouldn't hurt you...
*grabs him and bashes his head on the table*
But on a more serious note, what do you mean by depth? There is no underlying plot no connective issues between episodes aside from Zenigata always trying to get Lupin. It makes for a very good series with the inventiveness of the writers...so many ways for Lupin to escape, so many ways for Fujiko to double cross Lupin, so many ways for Zenigata to fail
In response to the avatar...
...Btw...I got my own freaky avatar

What I mean is that the characters don't change. They don't learn from their mistakes. Any English teacher could tell that makes it unappealing and boring. The show is stagnant, and you know what stagnant things do.

I can understand what you're saying, though I will say that while there IS change, it occurs in very small degrees that you have to keep an eye out for. There's a lot more of it in the movies/specials/OAVs, admittedly, given that the TV series (well, all of 'em) is pretty much a lighthearted deal.
Also, it's probably worth mentioning that Monkey Punch's own interpretation of the characters is a little different... Darker. More complex, I'd say. You can see it in the manga (I would think. I've read very little) and in the specials/movies he's directed.

I pciture I got from a clip that is from the opening scenes of the 2004 TV special (japanese) "Stolen Lupin: The Copy Cat is the Butterfly of Midsummer".
(I don't have the whole thing...I just have clips...I WANT THE WHOLE THING THOUGH >_<)
...oh and btw...he's not in a jail...he's in a truck that's attached to a Lupin hotair balloon.
