So would I. There needs to be a lot of clarification.
So who was the author of Metropolis? It wasn't Gordon. Could it have been Angel, Big Venus, God?
And Dorothy seems to believe she was
not built by Waynewright. Is she a memory herself?
And who was the 'other' Roger Smith in the 'other' Big O who had drowned in the sea. Was there no 'other' Dorothy to come save him?
And did you notice that Big O is in very bad shape now? Its whole inner core has fallen off, as well as it's Chromebuster-helmet. It definately seems damaged beyond repair.
At how did Dorothy plug herself into Big O? Was she nessessary for the final attack?

In summary:
What this episode accomplished:
- The best use of Stoning, ever.
- The best use of Sure Promise, ever.
- The greatest battle sequences, ever. (Final Stage...no words can describe it.
)
- Revealed the director of the show--Angel
- Revealed the nature of the event--the Big Venus rewind...(or was it? Perhaps the people wished to forget, as Roger suggested?)
- In my opinion, a fitting end to a fitting series.
- The best use of confusing symbolism, which will have us probing the deepest depths of our minds to fathom, ever.
What this episode failed to do:
- A straightforward explanation to several questions (the answers are there, just hidden in metaphors)
- Satisfy everyone
- Put me to sleep. And that's a good thing.

I don't know where to begin. I feel like a Big pooped in my head then shook me up a lot, then put me back down saying "There. Accept that."
And I just can't accept that! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!!! FEEL MY FRUSTRATION!!!!
Well I'm gonna go catch some z's before the ep reairs at 2am. Maybe I'll have some more coherent thoughts at that point.

So...
Beck gets confused. Dorthy gives him the cold shoulder( I don't blame her all the crap
he's done to roger.) Roger requests mouth-to-mouth

But then Dorthy in step
calls him a louse. lol. Did anyone catch as to why?
Big Ear is just a droid... Actually does that even matter? Because is anyone there really real?
And Angel is really the director and author of metropolis? Looks like some sort of commerical
outfit.
Wow

. I don't know what to say. It looks like they tried to answer a bunch of questions,
but I'm left wanting more. *blinks* umm well *blinks*

Besides the reloop I dont think I understood much. So many questions where to start.
Big Ear?
Roger and Dorothy toys?
The TV show?
What happened to Beck and Norman and Daustan?
I am left wanting more.

Whoa.......
To stay up late and watch it again or not.
So tempted, so tempted.
While I wish they just came right out and said what was going on, I can appreciate keeping it hidden.
I hope that they make a Season 3 for this, hopefuelly explaining it more.
Though whoever decided it would be cleaver to have "Stripes" at the beginning of the episode deserves to be in the path of Big-O's final attack there.

so everyone willing got rid of thier memories? But why,? It would have to be something completey horrific to happen for everyone to want to forget. And if angel is the director...then is all of this just story written by some seriously depressing chick?

Thanks bud. Now I can sleep knowing I'll get to se Big Fau bash Big O's neck open tomorrow.

Thank god for TiVo... but not for AS making it so it says family Guy instead of Big O.

Oh well.
Evan: LMAO. You're mad about that?

(On a side note, this is my first post, huzzah!)
Anyways, that episode just blew my mind! The final stage attack was amazing. The extent to which Paradigm is a stage is incredible, those were Dorothy dolls right? And the Roger Smith assembly line, woo! So it wasn't clones at all, but androids eh? Does that mean everyone in Paradigm (cept Angel of course) were androids? Woo, too much to process at once...

Well, truthfully, the only way to have a semi-happy ending for everybody is to have a rewind/reset to the beginning of the show since Paradigm City has been leveled by the attacks of Big Fao and Big O. That way the majority of people haven't died. Of course it does nothing for us fans in terms of closure.
Stupid time zones. I still have at least another two hours until I get to see the show myself, so at the moment all I'm going on are Megadeus' spoiler clips (he is still one of the most wonderful, nicest people who has ever lived).
One question, I haven't been around that much, but I heard somewhere that an alternate ending exists? Is this true or just rumor? If this has been asked before, sorry.

It would be interesting to ponder how a Season 3 would work... one thing is, this next loop will obviously operate differently than the last. But is it possible that the people of Paradigm City can actually break out of their paradigm and exist in the outside world? (That seems like the only way a Season 3 could possibly operate.) If they did, they would emerge into a universe where they are regarded as fiction... it doesn't seem like anybody could survive that.
I don't see how this can go on. I don't think there will be a Season 3.
I mean, it would be like the characters of a book somehow popping out of their imaginary existence and emerging into the real world...

While thinking about the episode, I just thought of something.
When we saw the assembly line of Rogers, and the small hand-held Dorethy, what if that was from a toy production assembly line.
Probably completly off, but makes you think, why else would they need to mass produce Roger Smith robots, unless maybe they are his stunt doubles.

I hope I am remembering past posts correctly...
When I was reading spoilers for the last episode a little while back, I think I remember one of the posters here describing the translation of Roger's last words of the last episode. From the Japanese, he said something along the lines of how he was the negotiater and his job was finished. This statement rather conclusively ends the show. But in the English version, he said that he was the negotiator and his job was important to the city. That statement leaves a door open. If they really did make that change, I would think it would be a big hint that a third season is possible. Does anyone else agree? Did someone really post that earlier translation from Japanese? Or am I just remembering things that never happened (again)?
