What if there was a Big O live action movie?

I can see Owen Wilson as Beck.

A young Iggy Pop for Beck.
I was trying to work Johnny Depp in there somewhere but he's not quite right for anyone. . . unless Angel's secretly a man, then we can talk.

Actually, if Johnny Depp were cast, he might make a decent Alan Gabriel; this is just going on seeing some of his stuff like Benny and Joon and From Hell (?).
What's the name of the guy who played Thin Man in Charlie's Angels and George McFly? He might make a good Schwartzwald.

His name is Jeffrey Weissman, I think...
Also, conserning Beck, Owen Wilson is less hardcore, and just too darn smarmy!

Sorry, I like saying smarmy...
Smarmy smarmy smarmy...
Anywho, Jim Carrey I swear is Beck! As for Schwartzwald, Christopher Lloyd (who was also in Back to the Future, DJX Prime) would be PERFECT! If only he wasn't so -- over the hill... However, John Lithgow
(Dick Head, from 3rd Rock from the Sun) could do it just as well...
No really, thats the character's name. If you saw the episode with William Shatner, you'd understand.
But thats just me...

Okay, I'm done ranting.

The 'guy' was Crispin Glover.
Beck
is smarmy. Perfect fit.
John Lithgow has played a very Schwartzwald-like character, Dr. Lizardo, in
Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. So he could work. Probably actually make him interesting for a change.

Really? Whoa, then Owen Wilson COULD do it, I guess...
Also, about John Lithgow, yeah! You're exactly right! Whoa, ESP, huh?
(Alex Rosewater walks into my house)
ALEX: Or, it could be memories of the future!
ME:

What're you doin' in my house? You're dead!
ALEX: No I'm not.
(I hit him in the face, and he falls backward into the window, falling down a thirty story building.)

<- That Alex.
ME: Now you is.
Erm, nevermind...
Anyway, back to the post, I actually think Dorothy should be cast to a newcomer to Hollywood, like what they did with Harry Potter or something.
Also, Dastun is SO the guy from NYPD BLUE! If you don't know him, he's this guy!
I mean, he's HIM in the flesh! Well, save for the vein popping outta his head...

Bruce Willis = instant Shwartswald
Alan Gabriel = Ray Park
and for Beck = Adam Sessler

Ok, heres my idea for Big O, and, God willing, when I make it to film school and make it big, I swear I will make this movie, so please respond on the idears of how it would go down... (SPOILERS)
Big O I: 1st half is about the first few episodes, but then Beck is thrown in there, maybe the plot where he captures Roger, that was always my favorite one of his...
Big O II: Mostly about the whole RD thing, then Roger goes through episode 14 to confuse audiences enough to make sure the series isnt cut short...
Big O III: How could I not make 3 about Shwartswald? My favorite stories were with him, so Ill mix a few of them and then tada awesome movie.
Big O IV: The beautiful finale... it starts out with Roger dining with Gordon Rosswater, but its cut short when Norman calls from the mansion and reveals it is under attack... you guys know the rest...
Eh? Eh? Yay or nay?

Does anybody know if there is any movement or interest in really making a live action Big O movie? Remember, Director James ("King of the World") Cameron is going to direct Battle Angel Alita, a Japanese manga...so if this movie hits paydirt...Hollywood will certainly be looking at other properties they can buy the rights to produce. I hope Big O is high on that list.
However, the problem with doing a Big O movie is technology. Currently...there is no technology out there that can render a true lifelike quality to making huge robots look real in cityscapes. It still looks cartoonish. They'd have to get a radical overhaul done with software products like Nutek Lightwave to accomplish anything close to Big O territory.

I heard about Alita a while ago...and I'm waiting on my Metroid movie(Biel for Samus!) if that counts for anything.
A Big O movie would work I think. Assuming the mecha are left to a Godzilla point of showage(the american remake one, where you rarely see it and even when you do, its in passing).
All for it really. Make a hell of a stage play actually if you work around those pesky mecha.
(PS: Cameron's best is Aliens. Titanic was way too long, way too epic, and Leonardo DiCaprio was in it.)

Erm, whats Alita, Metroid sounds cool and what the heck you got against Leo DiCaprio? (thinks) WHY THE HECK DID I SAY THAT?
Bluntly speaking, I do not like the idea of remaking the entire series into four movies (you know who you are that posted it). No offense to YouGotDSd, but that's, well, to put it to good ol' Eduardo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends:
EDUARDO: Muy stinko...
But I just thought of someone who can do Schwartzwald to the limit!
French Stewart. 'Nuff said. (I LOVE SAYING 'Nuff...)
'NUFF 'NUFF 'NUFF!
HA, it rolls off your tongue!
Erm, yeah. If ya don't know who French Stewart is, for god sakes we have Google Search!
WILT: Sorry if Mattartist was a little too harsh, okay? Okay, sorry. Sorry...

Any ideas for who should write the screenplay? The Original series writers would be the most obvious choice, but there could be other options. I am a Charlie Kaufman fan myself, but I don't know if his style would fit The Big O very well. You never know though, his depth would do the series justice. Any other thoughts?

Maybe the dude that writes for Alias and Lost on ABC, JJ Abrams I think his name is.
Also, the screen play for the FIRST movie, but just the first, should be the same events occuring in Acts 1 and 2, for theatre audiences to get to know the characters in their absolute prime.
But if they manage to continue the movies, the second one should be entirely brand-new, but inbetween the series, like if they were finishing off the Leviation from the episode with the same name or something. Or of course we all could be having delusions of grandeur....
YAY!
Okay, I'm done ranting...

Roger: Possibly Robbie Williums, I know he's not a actor, but I think he'd play the part quite well.
