Good Stuff...more tremors in the force:
-------------------------------------------------
With the original Star Wars trilogy heading to DVD, it's no surprise that there would be some Star Wars related announcements at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
In a 2 hour presentation, Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm, announced that the popular Star Wars: Clone Wars will be released in spring, around the same time the final batch of shorts will air. The first 20 chapters by Genndy Tartakovsky and Paul Rudish are extremely popular, so the DVD should do well.
We'll keep you posted with any information we come across.

Cartoon Network the fastest growing network at Turner Broadcasting
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----
Cartoon Network, the cable TV home of many anime series such as Case Closed, Wolf's Rain and Inu Yasha, is the fastest growing network in Turner Broadcasting's impressive line-up of networks that includes CNN, TBS and TNT. In fact, investors and press recently learned that Cartoon Network is more profitable than CNN. In 2003 Cartoon Network turned $650 million in revenue, 17% of the the entire Turner Broadcasting revenue, compared to $535 million (14%) in revenue for CNN and the rest of Turner Broadcastings news operations.
Cartoon Network's financial success is being attributed to increased ad revenue thanks to its ever increasing adult audience, and low operating costs. Adult Swim has consistently ranked #1 in its time period (11 pm - 2 am) on basic cable with adults 18-34, against competition from late night talk shows like NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the CBS Late Show with David Letterman.
In early July Cartoon Network reported impressive growth statistics over last year for Adult Swim in key adult demographics such as 23% in adults 18-34, 47% in adults 18-24 and 76% in women 18-24.

The most interesting thing about this is the fact that Rurouni Kenshin is coming back to Saturday's Toonami block at 10:30 pm starting October 23rd. The only drawback is the fact that its replacing Gundam Seed (bad news for Gundam fans...).
Right now, I feel its a mixed bag...Ive been missing Kenshin, havent watched much of Seed despite wanting to. So Im not sure how to feel about this quite yet.

Yu Yu is getting new episodes aired every week. They are now in the third and final season as we type.
I have also discovered why SEED is being removed, at least for now.

| If you haven't heard it yet, it's been confirmed by the pundits at Toonzone that Gundam SEED will be off the air after the October 16th broadcast of "Moment" (episode 26). Starting the week after, Rurouni Kenshin will begin airing in its timeslot on Cartoon Network. Apparently, CN only ordered the first 26 episodes of SEED for the time being. For now, it's unknown when the rest of the series will air. |
Buttholes. Don't they know by now that anything Gundam (save for SD and G-Savior) will be an instant hit?
On a more positive note the official japanise site for
Gundam X is now online and operational.

Yu Yu Hakusho has 4 seasons... so there is one after this one to go.
But it'll be nice to see Kenshin back on the air.

4? Please elaborate where this 4th season is. The official(?) site only breaks it down into three seasons.

I haven't seen it though it's called The Makai or The Demon World Tournament Saga. I know that the series has a total of 112 episodes. And we are on ep. 72 or so.
I hardly ever go to the "official" US site. Actually I really don't know of a great Yu Yu Hakusho site. Maybe someone knows of one?

I'm guessing that the last tournament will probably be included in the third season, since I've seen it and I don't think it's long enough to stand on its own. But knowing Funi, they might just divide it up anyway...

Well whata ya know. There are 4 seasons worth there. In that case I would like to answer the original ? by saying that they have up through season 3 dubbed and ready, if not purchshed for broadcast.
