Well, I like Schwarzwald a lot...he's certainly my favorite "villain" in the series. I guess you could argue that he is a badass by nature, and I certainly would not argue with you on that point...Tongue

Though many of his famous (or infamous Wink ) lines have already been repeated here, I think we're missing a very key line from "Enemy is Another Big!"...one of the best one-liners in the series, I think.

"One of these Bigs has got to go!"

I just thought that was a classic line. Big Grin

In terms of the poll, I think he looks great in all his appearances...the flashbacks in "Leviathan" were nice, the "Ye not Guilty" scene in "The Big Fight" was...well, Schwarzwald. I enjoyed his debut...gotta love seeing him get fried. Smile His last monologue as Big Duo Inferno ascends towards the sky in "The War of the Paradigm City" was also well done, I think. Smile

So, in closing, he looked great in every one of his appearances. Pleased

Hmmm...I get a feeling of deja vu...as if I had said that before... Confused

lord i remember this. there was war type deal goin on when somebody ask "when does roger look his best?" or somethin to that effect. then it was a whole bunch of other threads like dorothy, norman, big o, and maybe beck (the beck one was probably started by unibasu Tongue ).

anyways, Schwarzwald looks his best in act 12, second fight between duo and o (japanese version).
the classic german line of the show:

BIG DUO EST ICHT SHOWZEIT! Big Grin Cool

but schwarzwald is always bad@$$! Big Grin he is ur insane, twisted freak villian who is not concern about politics and he looks like a mummy. Pleased
MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Evil

so now letme ask this question.
why in god's name did the dubbers edit that part out?! to a certain extent, ur learning a new language and ur getting educated! Mad
damn dubbers, they can't even keep the good stuff in. Frown Roll Eyes

*sigh*
If only there was an "all of the above, plus al other times in and out of existance"
Yep, because his kicks all kinds of ass, and he will not be denied.
Dingo 01-16-2004 09:25 PM
Schwarzwald looks his best right after he's put his bandages on.
E-Fencoi 01-16-2004 10:49 PM
Undoubtedly major props should be given to Michael McConnohie, Schwarzwald's English voice actor. He also kicked ass as Norris Packard in The 08th MS Team.

About those lines, I really wish they had kept in Schwarz's German lines. I looked it up, and the actual translation (if you kept Big Duo's name intact) would be:

Big Duo, es ist Schau-Zeit!

Notice how the scriptwriters changed the German to "Show-zeit?" Did they really need to do that when the German equivalent was so close?

I sound like a broken record, buuuuuuuut:

I liked him best in #12 - Enemy Is Another Big!
Why?
After seeing the series, I get the feeling that #4 was just an introduction for this maniac, and I didn't get to really see what his obsessive personality was truly capable of until the Marquerade Party scene.

That did it for me:
From the time The Arsonist slithered down his vine (vine?! ) in his clown suit, got right in Roger's face, lit everyone's face on fire, told Roger to come and fight, leapt out the top window like he hadn't a care in the amnesia-stricken world while calling for Big Duo at the top of his lungs, and then gives Roger a good look at what's in store for him and Big O, well, that's how I'll always remember the crazy guy.

Crispy pwnz joo

'nuff said

in fact...

he would be perfect in a GTA talk show
A Clockwork Tomato 01-17-2004 11:10 PM
I dunno. He never looks his best. He's too impetuous: he's always going off half-cooked.

actually he was calling BIG DUO when he said "Come...at once" ....if that's what you mean.

I'd have to say that his finest moment was laughing his arse off in Big Duo's cockpit right after Roger burns off the mummy wrappings. That scene captures Schwarzy perfectly. Big Grin

Though I think his finest monologue is his running commentary in Leviathan. It's just damn cool. Big Grin

I didn't think of it happening that way.

How did Big Duo hear him?
When he'd leaped out the window and called for him, at least Schwarzwald was screaming at the top of his voice.
Also, when he said, "Come!, at once.", he was looking right at Roger, and immediately after Schwarzwald said it, Roger clenched his teeth and gave him a wicked glare like:
"If it's a fight you want, you got it, Clown Boy!"

Does Schwarzwald have a communicator of his own (like a watch, or whatever) that he uses to call on his Megadeus?

When I get home, later, I'll review the scene, keeping in mind what you pointed-out.
Schwarzwald 01-19-2004 08:56 AM
AHHH WERE ARE ALL GONNA GET BANNED!!! AHHHH!

Lol...I remember these days...

"When does laura look her best"
That was my favorite! Smile )Pleased Big Grin

ANywya.... Schwarzwald ALWAYS looks good....because he always looks the same.....except for in leviathain(WHICH I STILL HAVEN"T SEEN!) with that...eye thing...
