Big O Model

Woohoo! Um...hows about half a bag of assorted mini candy bars? I'm extremely embarassed to say that I've already eaten the other half, and this the day before Halloween. I'm so ashamed. So very, very, ashamed.

Er...anyway...I wanna see Roger in boxers! Big Grin

Hey, R.Smith, can we get some pics of your model soon? I can't wait to see how it looks now. (btw, hows dat save-state goin Big Grin ?)
Preventer Wind 11-02-2003 10:21 AM
as far as the big o site goes, the first one is a toy number 2 is a plastic model and the third is a unpainted assembly required resin cast kit .

ive been looking for all three bigs as well, and all ive found is lousy pix. and 1/100th scale is waaay better than 1/144th because i had a gundam wing tallgeese model with that 1/144 size and it sucked cuz the pieces were small and easy to snap Frown

i would love to get a model and paint it, well only if i spoke japanese and was able to match the right paint codes with the instructions. then it would be all gravvy.

Yup, that's the one I have, all right. I haven't opened it, either. I just sorta moved the parts around in the clear bag until I could find something recognizable amongst all those dull gray pieces. The first thing I found was the tiny, tiny Roger. After seeing that (and the Japanese instructions) I gave up hoping to put the darn thing together.

Oh, well. One day I'll work up the courage.

I have two of these... one for Big O, one to convert into Big Duo... now I'm considering buying a third to convert into Big Fau....

Today I took my series companion and enlarged the picture diagrams of the two other Bigs into the size they would be in scale with the model. Now these are acurate plans to help my conversions go smoother...

Sweet...

*Kicks dead thread until it lives*

OK, now that the thread is alive again, I've finally finished the model!

It took so long due to three reasons, 1 being that I enjoy building a model more then finishing it, and 2 I needed different gold paint for that "thingy" on Big O's chest, since the paint I had didn't stay on, and I didn't have a place to get good model paint (last place I knew of had moved somewhere), and 3, the kit was basically one color, so this being my first model that I had to paint, I took a lot of time doing each part, very slowly (I mean, really I had what was supposed to be the smallest brush I could find, and even that wasn't small enough for some parts, eyes, and way too many more things, luckily I'm innovative and came up with ways to paint those parts.)

Without further delay, here it is, the Big O model, fully painted (well as much as I could, I mean this was the first model I've ever painted, plus the fact that I couldn't find a good color for the "main" body parts which could have been painted a dark blue I suppose, but....I'm just rambling here..)

Ta-Da!
(Sorry for the crappy quality, bad lighting and I had to take seprate shots and paste them together, I'll try to get some pictures with a real camera soon)

Here's what it would somewhat look like if I had a digital camera:

You want me to ask?

I can just sign in to ebay and do the "ask seller a question" bit.
NVWC2006 11-04-2004 02:48 PM
Holy...

I WANT ONE SO BADLY!!!!

Are you willing to buy and paint more...and then sell them to other PCF members? That is a really well done paint job! I can imagine Big O's eyes lighting up, and hearing Roger yell Showtime!...

Um....Oh Well ..........well,..uhh.....

I suppose if you guys want, I'll buy more if you guys give me the money to buy a kit for you, and I've got enough paint for at least....oohh..*thinks*...5? 10? more, I'm not really sure just how much paint I used on mine, so I can't definitely say "I have enough paint for ____", sooo......

OK! I'll get more if the person(s) who want them sends me the money to do so. I'm estimating at least 10 or more models can be completed with the paint I have, so...it really all comes down to how many anime4less has to offer.

I guess this means I have to reactivate my Pay Pal accountEmbarrassed Sweatdrop

The price he is asking is $24.99 plus $10 for shipping. (I don't bother with bidding when I can just use the "buy now option" which assures me the model and no hassle of bidding.)

Now, I will obviously cost me money to ship the model to you, at the moment I'm not sure how much that will be.

Alright, I'll have "real" camera pictures of the model up sometime next week (got to get film developed).

First, please be aware the paint job isn't perfect; it's really hard with all the small lines to paint, though I expect myself to get better the more I do. Also the main body (the blue-gray.....well, heck you know what I'm talking about) won't be painted. What will be painted is more or less what you see in that picture under my wonderful webcam pic.

Second, the Roger Smith figure that comes with the model will not be painted, why is this? I'll tell you why, it is really, really, really, freaking small, and I have no idea how the one pictured on the model's manual was painted.

So, if you agree to it not being perfect, and the Roger figure not painted, annnnnd the price that anime4less is selling it at, and the money that I'll need for more paint when I need it, and the money for me sending it to you...plus $10 for me to assemble it and paint it, ..then we have a deal.

How much money I'll need for paint: (and I guess that means I need to find a place that sells Tamiya Acrylic Paint, or I guess I can get some more off of http://www.gundamshop.com/) so *crunches numbers*....ok, 4-6 paints, that's 1.79 each, so for 4 that'd be 7.16, 6 would be 10.74, so I believe I used at least 4 colors, but I might use more on your model if I feel I've gotten better and can paint more areas.

So, all in all we have anime4less asking for $24.99 + $10 for shipping, and me asking for the money for paint (if and when I need it) plus $10 for me assembling it and painting it for you. So that comes to $49.99, not including the money I might need for paint.

*** I sent anime4less a question, asking how many he has, and also sent him the url of this post, so he knows what I'm talking about. ***

(These images are not of my model, the only image I have up of my model is that webcam image)
