Manga Discussion

I too, also agree with that. Manga novels would be a sufficent way to carry out the Big O storyline. We could also use subplot stories like my own written story 'Midnight Hour', and something like(I'm making this up) the 'Big Duo Chronicles'.

Can someone take a moment to explain just what Lost Memory is? A continuation or alternate reality to the original Big O manga or what?

Also - www.animenation.com doesn't seem to carry it anymore. Should I check ebay or does someone have a more constructive choice?

Ebay is a good choice however make sure it isn't a bootleg or a cheap knock off. IF it's rare then be prepard to pay a good bit of money.

...If its the official series in Japanese, I think its a continuation of some sort.

Otherwise, I think it's a hentai doujin.

As you may recall, the original Big O manga was written at the same time as the anime, by a different writer. So while the "Lost Memory" mangas say "Big O 2" on the cover, they are even more loosely related to the anime than the original six.

The stories have a passing resemblence to some of the episodes of season 2 (particularly "Day of the Advent" and "Leviathan") but they are really continuation of the manga, not adaptations of the anime.

Dorothy and Roger in their nightclothes are as close as it comes to hentai. Sorry.

Here are the ISBN & bar code for each:
Lost Memory 1: 4-06-349121-8 9784063491210
Lost Memory 2: 4-06-349151-X 9784063491517

You may have some luck ordering by one or the other, either on the web or at your favorite manga store.

Actually, I would say it was a little of both.
The Lost Memory books pick up after the events of Vol. 5 of the manga. It seems to be an alternate take on what happened after the Gigadeus battle...I can't really tell you more than that without spoiling anything.

But if you're looking to purchase the Lost Memory books, I bought mine at Sasuga. They currently have them both in stock for a very reasonable price. Smile

HMM - I'm not sure if anyone hasn't already mentioned this, but that girl that Roger remembers in volume 4 - lost love or something like that -looks like Angel.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this or if it is just blatantly obvious and I was being a "duh". I was surprised I missed it the first time I read the manga, but caught on the second time. I attribute it to the fact I recognize characters in that sort of deja vu style more by voice recognition than by appearance - and to state (for the second time) the obvious, you can't recognize characters by their voice in manga.

ACTUALLY - I'm almost entirely certain someone has mentioned this.

I don't know if this is legal or not - so please delete this posting if it is . . .

But, I just thought I'd let the appropriate audience know, I'm currently selling the first three volumes of the Big O manga on ebay. If you're interested . . .

=And again, if this is not allowed, by all means delete this posting. Thanks!=
