Six sadly the sixth manga is the finial one. I wish there were more I just loved the art work in it, it is excellent.

Which is everyones most favorite volume of the manga series?

Of 'The Big O' title volume one is my favorite. But My favorite individual comics are 'My Sweetheart, Dorothy' and the one with Norman and the statue ^_^

Of 'The Big O Lost Memory' I think maybe the. . . well, it's hard to say. I like Lost Memory more than the original title but LM's is a two volume set so it's hard to really choose.

Chapter 13 "The Chosen Ones" from book 4.

It's not really the story that got me, it was the artwork. One in particular drew me in so much, I manipulated it and put it in my sig.

I was at Borders yesterday, going through the comics section (Not manga, American comics) and I saw a paperback version of one of the Big O comics. It was just a story from Volume 3, so I didn't buy it, but it was nice to see it there.

Without season 3, I post things that I normally wouldn't even think twice about

yay happy b-day to me ! last week i ordered the big o comics at the store because ordering them directly from the web is sooo expensive with the shipping....
now i have to wait 3 weeks or so....and hopefully i'll get them because i was told that stores can't deal with editors directly, they have to send the orders to an other company and the export orders are not really their priorities...when they don't toss them in the trash bag that is...ain't it scandalous ?

hey check it out, theres an other big o manga called lost memory ? (yes i was born yesterday) does anybody know if its available in english at viz like the others ? ^__^;;

Nope.
Dont look like they want to pick it up either....

Hopefully they'll get around to it. If not Viz, then maybe Tokyopop or some other manga distributor (actually, another distributor would be a good thing, we wouldn't get flipped manga!). People know Big O has a good fanbase that buys its manga, I can't imagine corporate types not wanting to make more money by bringing it over at some point.

Y'know I've been thinking about WHY the manga has been flipped. I think it's because of the publishers in Japan.

And as for Lost Memory, apparently the sells sucked (which I'm not surprised, no one wants a flipped manga with sloppy edits, and all the good extras taken out!) so they don't want to license it.

Ne, I have a question...My manga's are at home and I am far away and it's bugging me sooo...

Does anyone have a picture of the girl (old girlfriend, fiancee perhaps?) that Roger has brief memories of during one of the later volumes? (I can't remember which one) I'm pretty sure she had short hair, short dress etc...I'm trying to draw a vaguely accurate picture of her and want to get some idea of what she looked like!)

I think its flipped because they orginally licensed it when flipped maga sold better. The cost of renegotiating the license would probably cost too much. Same thing happened to InuYasha and Ranma 1/2

Viz has really crappy publishing practices, anyway. Like with Inu Yasha, Ranma 1/2, and Evangelion... Publishing them in up to three different formats! That's a big waste of money if you ask me. Everything should have been left in original format to begin with.

But I have a personal problem with Viz... Their halt on Black Jack.

This is totally unfair! viz sucks!!! the following reasons Y viz totally sucks:

1. we get a lack features in some manga books.
2. they never publish the exact adventures in the japanese region 1 manga books.
3. we never have as much of the good stuff in the manga books.

That's why we/I hate the viz company!!!! THEY SUUUUUUCK!!!!!!

People wanted evangelion released in the new size... i see no problem with that.
People want Inu Yasha and Ranma released unflipped but due to the license they cant

I dont hate Viz. I hate some of there decisions but i dont hate a company for that

I don't care if it's flipped or not, they did a great job, I have no complaints o_O
I like watching anime in english, too...go me.
As long as somebody translates Lost Memory in a language I can better understand, I'll be a happy camper.
I'm just glad anyone at all translated The Big O, good fan base or not, the series is still not very popular. I've had the Japanese ones for a long time, hoping somebody would pick it up ;.; I was so happy when I heard someone did.

Anyway, gbeanjuice, do you still need some pictures of Roger's old girlfriend? I can scan a few shots for you if you like ^_^

I'm very sick and what not going on, so I guess I'm being lazy or I could scan them right now, but I'll wait for your answer if you still need them.

i have a question.

you know how in the last story of of volume 6, that schwarzwald appears to roger and beck appears to angel? Well, wern't they kinda like...ummmm...how can i put this...coaches for both of them?
