I hate to just go and try to totally turn this thing around but anyone ever think of the fact that maybye their version of the year 2099 could be a little different than ours? I mean you could go along with the entire gundam thing where they all don't take place on the entire timeline.
But the way I see things this more than likely is earth but I couldn't see the year really being 2099 since

we have just seen so many different versions of the past. I just don't see how there would be room for all those different forty years to take place.

but I think that Roger the wanderer was one 40 and then the memory we see of the Bigs destroying the city was another. The way I see it that wouldn't put paradigm due for another rewind
for quite a while.
