Alright girls, keep your pants on for His Lusciousness! Tell me your desktop resolutions, so I can size it right and you can make him your wallpaper!

The name of the fanart is "Fancyfeast." You'll understand once you see it and, like everyone else who's seen it, probably chuckle.... but considering you people Wink , you might be drooling too much and the little spasms of laughter will make a mess of your keyboard, so... please wear a bib/cover your mouth. Big Grin

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! sweet! i cant wait!
uhhh i think 800x600 usually works for me.

Tentacles, Jixie? I admit that more tentacles are needed, actually. They're always needed. Even if they're just flailing around in the background for no reason, they always tend to add a.... certain something, a certain flavor. Like, octopus flavor. Big Grin

I'll create an 800x600

as well as a 1024x768

version :pleased:

Lexx, I did very much like the Alan art you just made. On one hand, I know that it's just a simple rip of an existing frame. But on the other hand, well, you did a good job! So Thumbs Up

Heh and the spotlight effect totally fits.

For now I'm gonna exercise (in case my pursuits ever put a very angry Roger in my path, I want to be able to somersault away to safety) and eat some din-din, then I'll give the people what they want most.

Admittedly, I didn't notice many... but it's more of an association thing. How Alan managed to get that association, huh... ok well, we all know.

It's done! Nw I'm kinda feeling bad 'cuz I've strung you goyles around for long enough, and I'm all ready to upload it, but the Webmistress who would do the uploading is out doing errands....

No no no, I only WISH there were tentacles. If you'd LIKE tentacles, well then tell me exactly what you're thinking in a PM, and I just might draw it... maaaaaaybee. But I CERTAINLY won't judge whatever it is. I mean... many people have gross thoughts, it's just a matter of admitting it! Tongue

Why don't you just use Photobucket or one of the other hosts from this thread?

I second that. Although...he could just be lazy. WE'RE STILL WAITING R. DANIEL! Hurry the hell up. >_< You got the pic! USE PHOTOBUCKET! Something! C'mon... I'll cry. You want to see me cry? ,O_O, 'Cause I will. HMMPH! *3*
R. Daniel Olk 01 09-03-2006 09:21 AM
This is why I was so sad my uploader-person wasn't available at the right time! It's seems like such a trivial reason that it's almost cruel, and it sounds like I'm saying I'm done but you can't see it yet.

Why not use Photobucket, you ask? Why, because I'd like to preserve the original dimensions, of course! Photobucket has size limitations, y'know, and I want to ensure that you peeps receive the proper product. Big Grin

Really, you should be glad I insisted on making you wait that extra eight hours 'till now. Besides, you slept through most of the time you had to wait--at least I hope you were sleeping Wink

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO

I present to you "Fancyfeast."
The Man in Stripes is back with a new sidekick... ready to terrorize your desktop!

Fancyfeast 800 x 600

Fancyfeast 1024 x 768

Well anyways what I wanted to say like at the beginning of last week when I first fanatical life into this thread, is that it seems if you're a true Alan fan, it means that you somehow enjoy objectification--either of others or of yourself. That's what Alan's all about, in my opinion. Also happily for my theory I've seen plenty o' proof in what you yourselves have said.

First you were caught by how he had no eyes--facelessness is like, the main ingredient of being an object, of feeling not simply human, but like something higher or lower than human.

There was a brief description of Alan where someone called him a "fascinating creature." "Creature," eh? Hmm... it's just one word, but then again word-choice can be telling.

There was that fic called "Organics" that Xel posted in SBO.... read it if you dare... I don't know if I'm glad I read it... Laughing

And then there's just the simple fact you find Alan exciting! I mean, most people, like Shadow-D, actually find him villanous and repulsive. But the Alan fans... I believe they personally sympathize with Alan's charged tendencies and ... the cetain style and tastes that he represents.

That's what I think Pleased

NOTE TO KRANG:
Yeah, I know, I know, there's the other site's logo in the upper-right hand side in big white letters. I guess it could be advertising. I have to do it, though, because I drew ideas from the members there. The concept of this fanart was only about 50% me... 50% the SBO membership. (That's what makes it good, I think--the input from many people!)

I'll be posting another piece of fanart I made for SBO sometimes soon. But dontcha worry, that'll be my last impartial work that I have to post. The next Big O project I undertake will be completely impartial--it's gonna involve heavy input from BOTH fansites! Big Grin
Chitter-Box-Kat 09-03-2006 03:05 PM
ZOMG!! Laughing Oh... My gods... You sicko... Heh. Heh heh. Heh heh heh heh heh... XD Okay, it was funny. It's so wrong... But it's so funny... And so Alan... HEEEHHH... Nicely done... I'll be giggling on and off all day... *gives R. Daniel a kiss on the cheek*

You deviish little thing!

We seem to have lost Xel along the way ^_^

ANYHOO, yes. I love it. The style of the characters are very much like the show itself, which is awesome and I admire that. Pero is freaking sweeeet. Alan, mmm. The picture itself it hysterical, yes, Alan's crazy fantasy world come true (if only on a wallpaper *bg*).

And I really love the attention to detail here. The texture in Pero's fur, the wires and cracks on Dorothy's disembodied arm. Well worth the wait.

Oh, so not so much a commentary on the character as his fans. Hmmm...

It's an interesting thought. When I first read this I mostly thought 'huh. okay.' It was, as mentioned, interesting and a little insightful, but I wasn't sure that I entirely agreed and decided to move along instead of discuss or debate.

...then a couple of days later I was writing something about our favorite psychotic cyborg (lo, the things that happen to Alan in my fanfic, anyways) and I realized... 'holy crapola he's right'. Because objectification describes it to a 't'. So Dan my man: you're right. Day-umn. Very, very interesting.
