Ugh I've been back to Purdue for more than a week now...and....it sucks. Mostly my job sucks though, and Indiana weather is just unholy at best, the humidty was so high last weekend that the paper, clothing, and sheets in my room were wet....and the AC was on.

But I'm taking.

-A&D 114 Intermediate Drawing
-Pol Sci 101 Intro to Goverment (taught by the guy in charge of C-Span's archives, which as it turns out C-SPAN is largerly based out of Purdue)
-Span 201 Intermediate Spanish
-Pysch 350 Abnormal Psychology
-Pol Sci 360 Women and the Law (which is taught by my most favoritest professor evar!!!)

J310: Critical issues in Journalism
ARH303: Survey of Renaissance through Modern Art
AST301: Introduction to Astronomy
RHE309K: Rock 'n' Roll Rhetoric.

Just went to my Astronomy and Rhetoric classes, and they seem decent. I'm about to leave for my Art History in a second.
SEELE 08 08-30-2006 12:40 PM
Aha Astronomy labs suck! My freind had an astro lab at 9PM at night. And is art history that bad? Because I need to take two of those for my minor...

I'm taking:

Latin 201: Prose
Physical Geography
Intro to Archaeology
Freshman seminar: Intro to Film Studies

I've been to Latin and Physical Geography so far and they seem cool. Both of the professors are energetic and funny, so at least I know I'll be able to stay awake. I'm going to Archaeology next at 3:00.
Fujiko 08-31-2006 02:50 AM
-Buddhism C128: Buddhism in Contemporary Society
-Statistics 2: Introduction to Statistics
-Film Studies 160: National Cinema
-Film Studies 108: Special Topics in Film Genre

Just curious, for those of you in college already, what are your (intended if freshman/sophomore) majors?
088nd 08-31-2006 10:21 AM
Journalism. I'm getting some non-major requirements out of the way first.

I really want to take some film classes but they always fill up before I get a chance to sign up myself. Damn it all.

Business, and maybe management under that.

EDIT: I just came back from my rheotic class and there are two things to take note:

One - A very good friend from high school is in the class, so that's cool.
Two - Everyone in the class seems to know way too much about American Idol.

So yeah, you know I'm droppin' that.
Peace.

We don't really have labs. It's a class for non-science majors, so it's not too intense. Although, we do have "star parties" for extra-credit, where we go to the roof of a 15 floor building on campus and look at the stars. Art history isn't too bad, it really depends on the prof. though. I was wishing it would be all European stuff, but I don't know why I thought it would be like that.

So, how are everyone's classes going? And social life?

College's been pretty good so far. I'm been trying my best to keep up with my classes.

I'm currently taking:

SOC185 - Sociology
EET202 - Digital Systems [with lab]
MATH216 - Calculus I
EET125 - DC/AC Circuit Analysis [with lab]

DC/AC's been the toughest for me so far, but I'm still getting a decent grade out of it.
Dude Love 09-03-2006 11:23 PM
ID 001 Sec 28 - Objectivity: Is the truth out there? (Freshman Seminar)
PHIL 003 - Philosophy Through its History
CHEM 001A Sec 3- General Chemistry with Lab
CHEM 001AL Sec 2 - Chemistry Lab
MATH 031 Sec 3 - Calculus II

My schedule shaped up pretty good, surprisingly. And my classes are amazing! No idea what my major will be, though.

Start Tuesday. Vomit.

I'll be taking:
General Psych (tried to get into this last year, but it was always f***ing full once I had the opportunity to register)
Cultural Anthropology
Intermediate Japanese (which is an obscene amount of credits for some awesome reason)

I'm so f***ing lazy. Pleased
Chitter-Box-Kat 09-04-2006 11:00 AM
I'm getting my school sentence tomorrow. I don't know what my schedule's gonna look like. I don't wanna go. But I'll go anyway.
RoseRose 09-04-2006 02:00 PM
I don't start for a while yet, but Japanese is TOUGH, Xel. I flunked out of it last year.... hence the Spanish. The Hebrew's just for fun. I start late September. Of course, I don't get out until mid-June.
Chitter-Box-Kat 09-04-2006 02:03 PM
Come to think of it, I might be taking Spanish this year. Which would be my first time taking the class since the 8th grade.
