What I learned from the movies

Let's face it: stuff happens in movies that have never ever happened in real life, things that are physically or scientifically impossible and are just plain ridiculous. Tell us what you've learned. If it's from a specific movie, say so. If it's something that happens in many movies, then let it be. One thing per post please.

I've learned that cars are automatic bombs once you crash them.

Guns will make convenient clicking noises, just to make something you've said sound even more threatening.

Tokyo and New York city are highly prone to natural disasters, giant reptile attacks, and alien invasions more than anywhere else on the planet.

And if I think even harder, I realize there is no spoon, and it is I who is bending. Wink

Even a glancing shot from a 9mm pistol will cause a car to explode in a fiery fireball and more than likely be launched 30 feet into the air.

If you're in a mexican standoff, anyone involved in it either dies instantly or everyone is out of bullets.

You can fire an MP5 or a MAC-10 continuously for 15 minutes without running out of ammo or overheating the barrel.

Alien invasions are easily repelled with such terrestrial means as water, computer viruses, baseball bats, or SG-1 (though Daniel may die 3.75 times but don't worry he will be resurrected via some alien techonology every time or he will ascend and than unascend.)

There are as many ways to kill somebody/die as there are stars in the sky. ... ... Actually, that's kinda true. O__O

When spying on someone, introduce yourself to them, challenge them to a casino game, and begin to hit on their girlfriend, all while making vague references to their plot. You'll win money, sleep with the girl, and foil their plan, plus piss them off.

Serial killers rarely live in houses. They are much more likely to be found in an abandoned warehouse/factory/ship/other creepy place with no lights and weird paraphenalia on the walls.

Whenever someone is shot, they are instantly shot exactly in the heart or head. Otherwise, bullets cannot touch people.

Death is a slow process allowing the dieing character to explain something crucial to the hero or confess their undying love to him or her.
