That Film You Slept Through Lately, What Was It?

Scary Movie 4- I watched this again last night. Love it.
South Park Vol. 8- "Let's Fighting Love."
Silent Hill - Actually an ok movie. Still took way to me liberties for my taste though.

In my media lesson today we watched Natural Born Killers.

To sum it up: Two mass murderers and a lot of over the top violence and gore. I didn't think the ending was very good. Sweatdrop

EDIT: Well after discussing it in class there is some deep symbolism and the whole 'beware of the media' message in it that I semi-missed first time round. Oh Well

YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

Easily one of the best movies of the 90's.

And I've been watching Eraserhead OVER and OVER again.

Dead (Dies)

I must admit it was very stylised with all the slanty camera angles and it was quite good up until all the events in the prison. But it is a cult film so I shall refrain from critizing in any more. Tongue

All of you go buy that dvd right now (I'm exempt, I'm waiting for the inevitable re-release with more bonus features). Because if a sequel dosen't get made I'm taking out my dissapointment on the internet. you will feel my pain.

I really, really, unbelievably need to watch that probably.

The last movie I watched was plesantville which we had to for a class (we'd just read utopia, yeah). Not a bad movie, admittedly the director/writer really punches the audience in the face with the concept he's trying to get across but even then I've seen movies which are way, way worse about that.

Session 9: Interesting little horror film, and one of the influences on SIlent Hill.

We just saw the 1942 version of The Phantom of the Opera, with Claude Rains and Nelson Eddy. Having read Terry Pratchett's Maskerade, I could see the inspiration for many of the incidents in the latter book.

I'd say it's well worth watching.

Double Indemnity (1944) - starring Fred MacMurray, Barbera Stanwyck, Edward G. Robinson.

One of the best movies ever made and the screenplay is amazing.

EDIT: Just came back from my class and we watched The Cabinet of Dr. Calagari, a silent film from 1919. Damn good and full of that German expressionism.
Peace.

Waist Deep: Best comedy movie in years, oh it's not a comedy movie? whoops.

Watched "The Uninvited" and....I dunno, I think it sucked. I know it's old and I'm supposed to respect that but the acting was just lame.

DO IT. It's got Conrad Veidt from Casablanca and it has a kickass jazz score that gives Cowboy Bebop a run for its money and then some.

Saving Private Ryan (1998 ) - starring Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Edward Burns. I bought it for a report I'm doing and funny thing is, this is the first time I've ever seen the whole movie.
Peace.

MST3K: Future War. You know a movie is bad when your main character is named "Run Away"
Pie_Junkie 10-17-2006 05:41 PM
Kiss the Girls. Not the cheesy cut-up version that was on tv but the full movie. The book's better tho.

Um. The version I saw in my film class did not have a jazz score. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if it had.
