That Film You Slept Through Lately, What Was It?

Dune in lovely VHS-o-vision. A thanks to one of my friends for lending the tape to me after we were talking about the book (which I read in earlier this year).

It was entertaining and interesting but not in the way I had expected. Gather round and watch Paul Muad'Dib destroy huge rocks-with his voice! Roll Eyes

Oh Karl Marx...

Pulp Fiction - It was full of events that were just plain crazy.

The English Patient, then The Deer Hunter.

I couldn't stand the English Patient, did they give it all those awards just because it was 4 hours long and about a world war? Maybe I just hate Ralph Fiennes though...ahahaha.

Deer Hunter was cool, albeit..long..again.

Damn u Holleh, I like The English Patient. But then again, you aren't the romantic type and no one's being tortured in the film (physically) all that much (other than Williem Dafoe's thumb sequence), so yeah. And if you got a problem with Ralph Fiennes, then you got a problem with meh. :o

- Burn!
- Goldfinger
- Seven Samurai

And I've been watching the special features on The Departed. There's this great segment/documentary on how New York, Lil' Italy has affected Martin Scorsese's work, his films and his own take on it. From Mean Streets to The Aviator. Amazing.
Peace.

It's called "writing the theatre schedule down beforehand"

Last movie I barely paid attention to while I cleaned house: Rebecca.

Jackass 2, I find that I'd attempt some of these stunts if I had a vid cam.

Bit of a contrast between the two really...

Especially since the latter is actually a damn good film. I'm just sayin'.
