Ghost in the shell managed that, or 30 minutes of it, with explosions. Tongue

(Dont worry, I still loved that show)

Um, I was going to watch that today at the same time myself.

But going to school and the rest of that nonsense.

EDIT: Catching the Friedmans (2002) Its a documentary about Arnold Friedman and his sons dealing with the trial of Arnold on numerous counts of child abuse.
Peace.

Sharpie if you see this, I'd like to know what you are talking about here. Since I'm a big GITS fan, I don't really follow you here.
Peace.

Identity and Runaway Jury, both good movies ('speacilly Identity) and both John Cusack movies.

I haven't seen Identity but I have seen Runaway Jury. It was alright, except with the whole plot of avenging their childhood crap wasn't something I was feeling. It was just too petty for my taste.

Also, Dustin Hoffman AND Gene Hackman in the same film together? OMG. Also, my boo Rachel Weisz was in it. So yeah, decent film all around.

One more thing, I haet John Cusack. Terrible actor in my book.
Peace.

That's why I found Identity to be better...then again Runaway Jury might not be that good, I fell asleep thru the middle, liked what I saw tho. And I'm not gonna have a Cusack argument, he's one me favorite actors.

Was it one of the ones with Jeremy Brett in it? Because I used to watch those alot as a kid, and to this day everytime I've read a sherlock holmes story the mental image of holmes that I have is basically jeremy brett (and edward hardwicke is how I picture watson).

I'm very sorry the government taxes their tips, that's f***ed up. That ain't my fault. It would seem to me that waitresses are one of the many groups the government f***s in the ass on a regular basis. Look, if you ask me to sign something that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it, put it to a vote, I'll vote for it, but what I won't do is play ball. And as for this non-college bullsh** I got two words for that: learn to f***in' type, 'cause if you're expecting me to help out with the rent you're in for a big f***in' surprise.

I just came from a breakfast meeting with my broadcasting class and I was thinking of pulling this off. But alas.

And I'm not 27 Sharpie. Not 27 at all.
Peace.

There was much lulz.

That movie looks and sounds like bullsh**. What I can't stand even more is that on the commercial, they're running it as a parody of the greatest epic movies of all-time. When the hell did Superman Returns become a epic? And all-time? Who actually remembers Narnia? That's exactly what I thought.

Oh and...

An American in Paris (1951) starring Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, Oscar Levant

And Taxi Driver again, this time with my sister. She knew Bickle was crazy when he order a slice of melted yellow cheese to go on top of his apple pie. She had me dying.
Peace.

Can we like...become some sort of vigilante duo that hunts down everyone involved in the production of this movie, because that last part was pretty much my immidiate thought when I first saw the trailer.

Seriously....superman returns? charlie and the chocolate factory? Even die hard fans of these movies have never used the phrase "epic" in describing them as far as I know.

Then in another trailer it dropped the pretense of parody entirely, and said something along the lines of "we took your favorite movies and mashed them together with passable impressions of characters". I had this horrible mental image of someone going "DUDE I LIKED NARNIA AND I LIKE SUPERMAN SO THIS MOVIE MUST BE LIKE...BOTH OF THOSE AT ONCE".

Then on top of that. How the hell do you parody a movie like borat, or snakes on a plane...snakes on a plane was already a parody of itself. Thats like some kind of bizzare m.c. escher painting except its an incredibly rickety premise instead of a bunch of stairways, a parody of a self-aware parody.

And I'd try to explain this to someone who actually wanted to see it...but lets be honest...if you're terribly excited for a movie written by the people who brought you "date movie', not only do you probably have no idea who m.c. escher is, you're probably wondering how I got words to appear on your computer screen.
Mike 01-30-2007 12:31 PM
Speaking of which, I continue to be the only person I know who liked Snakes On A Plane.
