Honestly, as much as I'd like to see X, he'd play like a Samus clone.

OK, a few different moves.
Screw Attack? Replace it with a diagonal Speed Burner.
All you have left are the bombs, and, well, you have me there. Can't think of a scatter bomb attack he ever had. Also Morph Ball and another grab, but eh.

Speed Burner IS an airdash. But he's covered in fire. Hence it'll do damage and maybe a nice burn effect.
As for Down-B... Ehhhhhh... X4 Ground Hunters?

Did you guys see the new trailer? They showed a section of Fox, apparently he is the DS Star Fox version from what I'm hearing. He looks kinda ugly.

Interesting idea, but Dante would only be able to use his sword. Guns are usually not allowed in Super Smash Brothers.
Solid Snake's attacks in this game consist of mostly explosives and close quarters combat moves.

not just his sword. think of the possibilities. if he were the DMC 2 version of dante, he could use the ifrit and beowulf gauntlets, alastor, rebellion, cerberus, etc. (not to mention look cooler than the other versions)
and besides, nintendo would find a way to make the guns work.

Dante would be an awful choice. You may as well throw Cloud and Sora in ¬¬
I'd like to see Blade and Striker from Bad Dudes in Brawl.
Or the guy from Burger Time
Or the main guys from River City Ransom. Their stage can be The Generic Dudes' Turf.
Or, most of all, I'd like to see Tom Nook from Animal Crossing. EXACTLY as pictured below.
