Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Wii are gonna have some fun.
X Prime 05-09-2006 04:59 PM
Uh, link? In TDotOL maybe?

9am Ninty press conference. Reggie says the title during 1 point, and there's a brief clip of footage during the game displaying montage-thingy with the title suspended. The guy playing it has some wacky hair.

Oh damn.

Now I've got hope that there's going to be a Metroid-FZero crossover. XD

The game looks fly, though.
X Prime 05-09-2006 05:57 PM
It's baaaaack.

So much for dying after being trapped in the Ing dimension.

The story to MH2 was lame. This better not suck.

But the gameplay was amazing. And yeah, I'm looking forward to MP3 a lot. The past two games have been excellent time-wasters for me, and I'm sure this one will be no different.

I also like how this and Prime DS provide brand new, unique control schemes for FPS. I've never cared for FPS's before because the control felt awkward. I can't wait to see what it feels like on the Wii. (ugh, I hate that name).

Meh. Halo 2's story sucked ass and the gameplay was amazing.

I see a trend here...

Wait. I thought that Halo 2's story and gameplay both sucked ass but people still loved it because OMG TEH HALOZ ITS TEH ROXX0RZZ!!

Echoes's story was really lame. And it was an enigma wrapped in a mystery smothered in confusing that fell into a plothole. But blowing stuff up remained fun.
X Prime 05-09-2006 06:56 PM
What was confusing about MP2? Maybe I can clear it up.
Mike 05-09-2006 06:58 PM
It's not so much confusing as much as they keep saying Phazon is a mineral, then it's some kind of virus, then it's a biological goo.

I remember a bunch of ongoing discussions about what caused the split, what created the Ing, and such. I think the general concensus was that a Phazon meteor hit it with such force that the planet made a weird dimensional shift.
X Prime 05-09-2006 07:02 PM
Ah. Nevermind then (I subscribe to the same Phazon meteor impact theory).

No idea about Phazon... though in theory that could represent stages in Pirate research or differences between how Pirates, Chozo, and Luminoth view things.

Meh, I never really pay attention to the story line in Metroid games. Too much reading.
Jstar136 05-09-2006 09:33 PM
Goodness! I sorta gave up on MP2, it was someone's game I borrowed.

FPS with the nunchuk? Sign me up!

(But not for 600$ PS3 lovers...)

Watching the vid:

Rendered BGs! Thank you Jesus! The nasty .jpg backgrounds brought Prime 2's quality down a bit.

The person playing that is pretty 'tarded... He/she gets absolutely drillt in the circle room with the pit...

No scan visor? Hmmph... I'm probably the only one that liked that bit of the previous two.

spoiler (highlight to read):

I'm suspicious of the E-tank... Usually there aren't pickups in the first bits.

The parts with the Ridley fight... where he grabs Samus... they should be falling the other way. It would be much more extreme than the way they are fighting (right side up).

It looks hella tight, though. I'ma pick it up as soon as it comes out (barring awful reviews, of course... can't be wasting money)...
X Prime 05-15-2006 06:08 PM
WHAT!? No scan visor!? FAILURE.

That made the creatures of MP so much more interesting beyond 'thingy I kill'.
Mike 05-15-2006 08:06 PM
They HAVE to include the Scan Visor. That's how you learned the whole plot and solved half of the puzzles. And it told me that which materials were breakable by what so I could get more powerups.
