But by total chance, the theme from Casino Royale got stuck in my head for two weeks.

Oh come on, how can you not like Casino Royale? It's so delightfully insane! Big Grin

It's...hard to picture him as Bond. Since yeah, thats also the only movie he's been in that I've seen. And in road to perdition he plays this craven, cowardly little wretch that gets slapped around by Paul Newman's character at some point.

So basically...as far from the Bond character as you can get.

Then again everyone whos seen Layer Cake said he can do the whole "badass with a gun" thing, so yeah. Who knows.

Wasn't Peter Sellers in that? If so I should probably rent it.

Next bond needs to be Sam Jackson. Here's the title of the movie.... "The man with the golden snake on a plane."

Eh, I don't know. Pierce Brosnan was so perfect for the role of James Bond that it's going to be a difficult adjustment seeing someone as like Craig take over the character. I still think they could have choosen someone better for the role of Bond. Sure Daniel Craig can play James Bond, he might even play him well but he'll never be James Bond. I mean I might be wrong and he might just defy all speculation and be the best Bond ever but I don't see it happening. About him being blonde...I think if he was really serious about it he'd take some dye to his hair...even though I've got nothing against him being blonde... the character has dark hair.

The best Bonds are Sean Connery and Roger Moore. Period. Although Connery was the best one of the two in my book, Moore sure as hell gives him a run for his money.

They have a marathon of Bond movies on Bravo and I was watching that LATE last night. From Russia With Love, Dr. No, and Goldfinger (the best Bond movie). Anyway, I'm not sure about Daniel Craig because, he hasn't been in too many movies and I haven't seen too many of those too few movies. He doesn't look sh*t like what James Bond is described to be like (Bronsan was the best one in that department) and Ian Fleming in probably rollin' over in his grave. But I want to actually see the guy do his thing before I judge him on him taking up the James Bond mantle.

Actually, this would probably have been a better choice. That would have been interesting to see.
Peace.

Peter Sellers, David Niven, Ursula Andress and Woody Allen...ALL of whom play James Bond (along with several others).

Austin Powers, eat your heart out. Cool

Well, I think Daniel Craig is hot, and I think he'll make a fine Bond. He looks really great in those blue trunks from the early promotional footage. Although my first choice to play Bond would have been Clive Owen, Craig is a great actor and I am looking forward to his performance. And for the record, I don't think his blond hair invalidates his performance in any way. If his hair was a bright white or yellow blond, I could understand the digression, but with the sandy blond hair he has, it's not that much of a detraction from the "classic Bond look."

YOU'RE THE BOND NOW, DOG!!

Really, I'm dissapointed nobody said that until now.

Casino Royale debuted this weekend. I've seen it and loved it. So did the audience. There was a lot of cheering and laughter, as well as a round of applause when Daniel Craig delivered "the line" at the finale.

Yes, the movie was great. Good character development, storyline, action, girls, romance, surprises, and performances. This is a back-to-basics Bond movie. There isn't any wonderous Q tech that just happens to fit the trap that Bond and his girl are in.

And to the doubters of Daniel Craig, he'll win you over. I'll bet many people were shocked by his introduction. Craig's version of Bond is a remorseless killer who accomplishes his mission the way he, not the British Government, sees fit.

It is indeed a new era for James Bond.

Daniel Craig was awesome as Bond. Who gives a damn if he's blond? He portrayed a Bond that was much more egotistical, violent, emotional, and charming. The Bond before Bond was smoothed out into a suave spy. Craig did a fantastic job.
Hollow XXVI 11-19-2006 05:30 AM
Oh thank GOPD people are approving of him...

I'm sorry but you're an idiot if you base your opinion on someone because of their hair color. I mean..what kind of logic of that?

I was very pleased with Mister Craig and very glad they didn't pick the Nip Tuck guy. Haven't seen the movie but I'm certainly planning on it!

I really liked him, but some of my friends refuse to see it because it's not Sean Connery.

Yes, honestly they were. I feared that choice. Feared it.

Also X was complaining that I called him an idiot because of his idiocy with Mister Craig's hair.

Well you know what X? We can't be friends anymore because your haircolor doesn't suit you. You have a bad temper, obviously your hair should be darker. Don't speak to me ever again.

Who is this? And what the hell? I thought they were looking at CLive Owen or someone around that nature. Please, I hope you don't mean Julian McMahon. Or even worse, that sorry looking partner of his as well.

Glad to hear its doing good though, since I really want to check this out.

Also, blonde hair. (Um, we don't have the color yellow but you get the idea).
Peace.

So be glad the next Bond isn't Julian McMahon or Hugh Jackman you whiners.
