Well, here it is, the final episode of SamCha. Thank you to everyone who followed the series and I hope you all liked it as much as we did. Tonight's episode is one of the best in the series. There's some excellent action scenes here, plus the conclusion. You don't want to miss this one! Enjoy!

suprise suprise, unlike cowboy bebop mugen and jin survived almost by miracle. Jin openly confesses that Mugen and Fuu are his friends. I can understand why they didnt stay together. But at least there was no actually sad ending.......

Good ending and good dub.
Are there any plans for continuation of the series?

I liked the ending.
While it could have been happier, with them all staying topgether, at least they were all alive and well, as opposed to all dead and buried.

When I saw the series the first time, I also thought they were going to kill off both Jin and Mugen, but I'm glad both lived. I was a little surprised at the conclusion, though. I was hoping that the group would stay together awhile longer, or at least for the series to give more information as to where each was going next.
I agree that the ending does nicely set up the possibility of a movie or OVA continuation, but none have been announced so far.

I hope they do plan to continue the series somehow, because I think that there's potential in the story and with the characters for more.
I know that a manga series has been released, which I think is based on the show, not the other way around. (I could be wrong, as I haven't checked it out yet.) Also, a PS2 game based on the series was recently announced, which sounds interesting, so at least there's a few things in the meantime...

Yeah, I can see a movie.
The ending felt like a complete gyp to me. You don't set it up so that they (Jin and Mugen) both have no chance of surviving, yet then they randomly live anyway and just walk away with nothing so much resembling a wound. I would have preferred their demise.
Besides, only Resident Evil 4 incarnation Leon is allowed to survive that much dynamite to the teeth.

That was a really good episode and that's how you end a great series like this.
*shakes his fist angrily at s-cry-ed*
So the Hands of God guy wasn't Fuu's father and it was great how they kind of made him out to be. When I saw Fuu's father, I was thinking the same thing Fuu said a but later on. And the Hands of God is stone cold.
Jin coming back like that surprised the hell of me and Mugen surviving that explosion was really unexpected and sweet like you know what. Fuu said that she lied about the coin, and Jin admits they Mugen and Fuu are his first friends. Really nice touch.
Yeah, I didn't really like the way it ended. Don't get me wrong it was really good but the sucka in me just wanted to see them stay together. And its cool how they left it opened as a possiblity of more episodes and even like some of you guys said, a movie.
Glad I watched this series. Holla back, Samurai Champloo!
Peace.

Excellent ending to a series. I liked the "red herrings" about Fuu's father and the Hand of God, plus Jin's "demise" and super-cool appearance.
Like a lot of posters, I was a little down about the three separating ways at the end. At the same time, I liked how they played out Mugen and Jin's duel. (Including Mugen's line "We really suck.")
Of course, the three did complete their "quest" for now. And I've got a hunch they'll reunite (whether in future movies, episodes, or just off in their own little world - if that makes sense).

Whoa! Mugen's complex move killed the naginata guy! Sort of like he actually planned out an attack instead of just instinct.
I wasn't expecting Jin to live. Or Mugen after being shot. Or the party to split.
There are major possibilities for future shows. Like the zombie guy in the credits or the crossbow wielding guy. There are some loose ends which are fine the way they are, or would be better if tied up!

Jin!
I cheered when Jin showed up to save Fuu. It was starting to look like he was killed by the samurai and Mugen was going to have do some of his amazing footwork to reach Fuu.
The final duel between Jin and the samurai was superb. Jin risks a coup de grace by letting the samurai get close enough to get run through with his wakizashi (short sword). The samurai couldn't philosophize his way out of that one!
It was a great ending to a great show. I'm glad our heroes survived!

Well, now that I've finally caught up on the past few episodes, I watched this one and wow.
Like most, I thought Jin, Mugen and Fuu were done for, but I was very glad to see they all survived!
Again, as others have said, I would like to see an OVA, or even 13 more episodes made sometime not too far into the future.
Oh, Shredder that PS2 game is out in Japan now, and should be out here soon!
Last comments,
Great series, glad I watched it and
really hope there is more one day!

I enjoyed it...finally got around to watching the end. I will admit, I was a little disappointed...I felt like there was a big buildup and then the end. So I was let down some...
I think the action is amazing, overall, for the series, and the swordplay in the last episode certainly didnt disappoint. Funny how Fuu mentioned what the true outcome of the coinflip was. At the same time that they came together, they parted company pretty quickly at the end. I guess I wasnt looking for that to happen, oh well.
Overall, I really enjoyed the series, but for some reason, I feel like there shouldnt be anything else with it. I think this should be the end of it...they did what they set out to do. Perhaps a movie would work, but additional episodes, in my opinion, would just spoil what is already there.
Good stuff...

I didnt know champloo was on this site. Anywho Champloo owns. The ending was good, really good. It made me realize why I like champloo more than kenshin. Kenshin is just DBZ (good in its own right) with swords. Unpronouncable attacks, powering up, and talking 10 times more than fighting isnt cool and takes away from the believability. Sure mugen and jin couldnt be that good, but they can't hit a guy and have him explode, or fly 100 ft through a wall. Good anime though, one of my favorites.
BTW: anyone notice that Mugen has a European sword at the end? Did Fuu's dad have one, being christian?

The finale was shown again on Saturday and I had a chance to tape it this time around. It was good to see the ending again, since its been a while and though I like the ending as far as the series goes, I have to agree with Stevie.
It... kind of is a letdown in some regards. I mean, the fights Mugen and Jin got in were damn good and Fuu finally meeting her father but just its like, not that much was resolved because there wasn't much to resolve in the first place. Other than the three becoming a close need group and Fuu finding her father and all. I don't know if its answered or resolved or what but I don't think its ever cleared up on why the government hired Sara to kill Mugen and Jin and then why the Hands of God got involved as well. If they did, its pretty poor clarification of storytelling on their part. That, or I just don't remember.
EDIT: Anyway, nonetheless I enjoyed the ending and it would be cool to see like an OVA of the three of them getting back together after a couple of years. Especially seeing how throughout the whole series, they met people that have and/or are going to have a great effect on them down the road. Such as the undercover government chick that fell in love with Mugen or the prostitute that Jin helped. I love how they did that with different characters throughout the series.
Peace.
