Heard this one on the radio today, its a extended version of a camp fire song. Now, the when singing it you must sing the line, up to the comma in a single breath - it can get quite funny at times.
Court Of King Caratacus - sung by Rolf Harris
Now the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
All together, now the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
All together, now the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
All together, now the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the fascinating witches who put the scintilating stiches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
All together, now the fascinating witches who put the scintilating stiches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the fascinating witches who put the scintilating stiches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now the fascinating witches who put the scintilating stiches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus, were just passing by.
Now if you want to take some pictures of the fascinating witches who put the scintilating stiches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses on the faces of the ladies of the harem of the court of King Catactacus...
...you're too late! Because they've just... passed... by!

When I'm alone, tomorrow feels far away.
And I must go over still into the darkness of dawn.
If I try to play it straight, it will no doubt fail,
And tonight it won't go well between us again.
You can't see all of my hard efforts, because it's only result
Is that it makes no sense. It really is a "tightrope".
More effort, more damage--this is my daily life.
Taking a cynical attitude may give me some comfort...
Hiding myself, heated and irritated; living only a short time.
When I'm alone, tomorrow feels far away.
And I must go over still into the darkness of dawn.
If I let my emotions free,
My dreams will once again not go well.
I think the balance sheet of my life is imperfect.
If I add up the plusses and minuses, will it really equal zero?
I want to control all my luck
That may be used up before my life is ended.
You don't know--you can change logic at your will.
I hurt myself because of you, over and over;
But my love didn't go away--it kept coming back.
The toughness gained from my damage is unbelievable.
I won't be able to sleep at all tonight either.
However many times it's repeated,
It revives again and again--because it's love.
You can't blame my emotion,
Because you should know it will never fade away.
When I'm alone, tomorrow feels far away.
And even though I'm in the darkness of dawn, I have to go.
I don't care about "bad affinity".
Even if our love is not doing well,
Nevertheless we have deep ties.

This song has been rining in my head all week. I truly dig the Cranberries...
There was a game we used to play
We would hit the town on friday night
And stay in bed until sunday
We used to be so free
We were living for the love we had and
Living not for reality
It was just my imagination x3
There was a time I used to pray
I have always kept my faith in love
It’s the greatest thing from the man above
The game I used to play
I’ve always put my cards upon the table
Let it never be said that I’d be unstable
It was just my imagination x3
There is a game I like to play
I like to hit the town on friday night
And stay in bed until sunday
We’ll always be this free
We will be living for the love we have
Living not for reality
It’s not my imagination x3
Not my x18

ELPHABA
I'm limited:
Just look at me - I'm limited
And just look at you -
You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda
So now it's up to you
For both of us
Now it's up to you
GLINDA
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good
ELPHABA
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend:
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
GLINDA
Because I knew you:
BOTH
I have been changed for good
ELPHABA
And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for
GLINDA
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share
BOTH
And none of it seems to matter anymore
GLINDA
ELPHABA (in counterpoint)
Like a comet pulled
Like a ship blown
from orbit as it
from its mooring
passes a sun, like
by a wind off the
a stream that meets
sea, like a seed
a boulder, half-way
dropped by a bird
through the wood
in the wood
BOTH
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
I do believe I have been changed for the better?
GLINDA
And because I knew you
ELPHABA
Because I knew you
BOTH
Because I knew you
I have been changed...
for good.

Sheepdog, standing in the rain
Bullfrog, doing it again
Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
What makes you think you're something special when you smile?
Childlike, no one understands
Jack knife, in your sweaty hands
Some kind of innocence is measured out in years
You don't know what it's like to listen to your fears.
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Big man, walking in the park
Wigwam, frightened of the dark
Some kind of solitude is measured out in you
You think you know me, but you haven't got a clue
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Heyy...
Hey Bulldog
Hey Bulldog
Hey Bulldog
Hey Bulldog

Everybody's doing it...so why not join the croud?
The Beatles- Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey
Come on, come on.
Come on, come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Take it easy.
Take it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide
Except for me and my monkey.
The deeper you go,
The higher you fly.
The higher you fly,
The deeper you go.
So, come on.
Come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Take it easy.
Take it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide
Except for me and my monkey.
Your inside is out.
Your outside is in.
Your outside it in.
Your inside it out.
So, come on.
Come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Make it easy.
Make it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide
Except for me and my monkey.
Hey!
Come on..

This is a very beautiful song; extremely sad and heart-wrenching, but beautiful nonetheless. Listening to it only serves to compound the sadness, though...
The song nearly made me cry when I listened to it, and that's saying a lot considering I haven't honest-to-God cried in years...
Of course, that could be just because the song--well, that isn't really important, so never mind. Just read (and weep, if you are so inclined) it yourself...and I encourage a listen to anyone who can get a hold of it:
---
Warning (from Bare: A Pop Opera)
So there it is...
Clare, it is
as you feared...
All these years of wonder,
their closure draws near...
A quiet kind of distance,
a word I would not touch...
Did I ever know my son at all?
Well now I know too much...
But where was the warning?
How can this be?
I guess there are some things
we don't want to see...
Where was the warning
to know this was coming?
Now what do I do with
this news I find numbing?
Where was the warning,
where was the warning?
And what if I liked the song I heard before,
the one I sang when my boy was born?
All the dreams I had for him,
they fade away, lost in words I could not say...
I wish that I could hold him, God,
he's all alone and scared!
I should be there for him, I love him so
but I am not repaid,
and where was the warning?
His father will die!
How do I tell him? He can't see me cry...
Where was the warning?
Don't tell anyone!
I won't want their pity!
I just want...my son...
It's happened, it's happened,
and life is so strange...
One simple word,
and the whole world has changed...
Could this really be my child?
My firstborn, my child?
Play in his cradle, so tender and mild...

Sung by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and a boatload of other people...including Rimmer
There’s a saying old, says that love is blind
Still we’re often told, seek and ye shall find
So I’m going to seek a certain lad I’ve had in mind
Looking everywhere, haven’t found him yet
He’s the big affair I cannot forget
Only man I ever think of with regret
I’d like to add his initial to my monogram
Tell me, where is the shepherd for this lost lamb?
There’s a somebody I’m longin’ to see
I hope that he, turns out to be
Someone who’ll watch over me
I’m a little lamb who’s lost in the wood
I know I could, always be good
To one who’ll watch over me
Although he may not be the man some
Girls think of as handsome
To my heart he carries the key
Won’t you tell him please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh, how I need
Someone to watch over me
Won’t you tell him please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh, how I need
Someone to watch over me
Someone to watch over me

I can think of a couple of people who need this song right now... including myself.
You're having a hard time and lately you don't feel so good
You're getting a bad reputation in your neighborhood
It's alright, it's alright, sometimes that's what it takes
You're only human, you're allowed to make your share of mistakes
(You're only human, ooo-ooo)
You better believe there will be times in your life
When you'll be feeling like a stumbling fool
So take it from me you'll learn more from your accidents
Than anything that you could ever learn at school
Don't forget your second wind
Sooner of later you'll get your second wind
It's not always easy to be living in this world of pain
You're gonna be crashing into stone walls again and again
It's alright, it's alright, though you feel your heart break
You're only human, you're gonna have to deal with heartache
(You're only human, ooo-ooo)
Just like a boxer in a title fight
You got to walk in that ring all alone
You're not the only one who's made mistakes
But they're the only thing that you can truly call your own
Don't forget your second wind
Wait in that corner until that breeze blows in
You've been keeping to yourself these days
Cause you're thinking everything's gone wrong
Sometimes you just want to lay down and die
That emotion can be so strong
But hold on 'till that old second wind comes along
(You're only human, ooo-ooo)
You probably don't want to hear advice from someone else
But I wouldn't be telling you if I hadn't been there myself
It's alright, it's alright, sometimes that's all it takes
We're only human, we're supposed to make mistakes
(You're only human, ooo-ooo)
But I survived all those long lonely days
When it seemed I did not have a friend
Cause all I needed was a little faith
So I could catch my breath and face the world again
Don't forget your second wind
Sooner or later you'll feel that momentum kick in
(One more time!)
Don't forget your second wind
Sooner or later you'll feel that momentum kick in
Don't forget your second wind
(You're only human, ooo-ooo)

In my dreams
I see myself hitting a baseball
In a green field somewhere near a freeway
I'm all tan and smiling and running from 3rd base
And it's hot and
The kids keep on playing the driving game
And they're singing the same g-d d--n refrain
And the sky is a blueish grey
And its become just like a chemical stress
Tracing the lines in my face for
Something more beautiful than is there
I've barely been gone
In my dreams
I see you at the foot of some mountains
And we're taking some pictures or something
And we'd better hurry up
And it's late and
The sun keeps on shooting through pine trees
And the grass stains are wet on your new jeans
And we'd better hurry up
And I've become just like a terrible mess
Searching the lines in my face for
Something more beautiful than is there
The crowds keep me coming back...
...cheering...
In my dreams
I see you asleep on a twin bed
The covers pulled up over your head
Am I asleep or awake?
And it's morning
And the captain is playing the radio
And he's just put the paint on his new boat
Am I asleep or awake?
And it just feels good when you're waking up
And it just feels good when you're next to me
And it just feels good when you're coming home
And it just feels good when you're waking up
And I've become just like a chemical stress
Tracing the lines of my face for
Something more beautiful than is there
I've barely been gone
And I'm not a failure I swear
I wish you could see it from over there
I've got a lot over here without you
I've barely been gone...
...gone...
...dreaming.

The tide is high but I'm holding on
I'm gonna be your number one
I'm not the kind of girl who gives up just like that
Oh, no
It's not the things you do that tease and wound me bad
But it's the way you do the things you do to me
I'm not the kind of girl who gives up just like that
Oh, no
The tide is high but I'm holding on
I'm gonna be your number one
Number one, number one
Every girl wants you to be her man
But I'll wait my dear 'til it's my turn
I'm not the kind of girl who gives up just like that
Oh, no
The tide is high but I'm holding on
I'm gonna be your number one
Number one, number one
Every girl wants you to be her man
But I'll wait my dear 'til it's my turn

Hey baby are you listening?
I've battened all the hatches down
I've taken all of your prescriptions
But no remedy I've found
Counting the days
Yeah, until some freedom can scream my name
Counting the days
Yeah, until the gods break these chains
Hey baby are you watching?
I'm saddled in for your sideshow
I'm never one to become precious
'Cause life is so touch and go
Counting the days
Yeah, until some freedom can scream my name
Counting the days
Yeah, until the gods break these chains
Dig in, get in, dig in
What you're looking for
Dig in, get in, dig in
What you're searching for
Dig in, get in, dig in
Yeah, dig

"All I Need Is A Miracle (Eddie Baez Remix)" - Tina Ann
I said, "Go if you wanna go,
Stay if you wanna stay"—
I didn't care if you hung around me,
I didn't care if you went away;
And I know you were never right—
I'll admit I was never wrong;
I could never make up my mind—
I made it up as I went along;
And though I treated you like a child,
I'm gonna miss you for the rest of my life;
I never had any time,
And I never had any call;
But I went out of my way just to hurt you,
The one I shouldn't hurt at all;
I thought I was being cool,
Yeah, I thought I was being strong;
But it's always the same old story—
You never know what you've got 'til it's gone;
And if I ever catch up with you,
I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;
And if I ever catch up with you,
I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;
All I need is a miracle, all I need is you;

"F***ing On The Dancefloor" - Really Rich Italian Satanists
Look at you with your new-wave haircut;
Check you out with your airbrushed makeup;
Look at you—
Check you out—
Look at you with your white mesh half-shirt;
Check you out with your spandex miniskirt;
Look at you—
Check you out—
And what's the deal with that hot sh** head toss?
What the f*** is that hot pink lipgloss?
What's the deal?
What the f***?
(You make me sick)
(Yeah...right)
You're such a black lacker table;
Excuse me? You sure talk a lot;
Well, you're as fake as a beauty shop [?];
Admit it—you want what I got;
You've got invisible things and carry [?] things;
Your erotic cabaret is non-stop;
You're wearing too many belts, and I bet they leave welts;
Shut up and dance, 'cause I wanna pop;
Look at you with your teenage hard-on;
Check you out with your black lace bra on;
Look at you—
Check you out—
Look at you with your mouth on my ***;
Check you out with your hand on my ****;
Look at you—
Check you out—
Look at you with my hand down your pants;
Check you out getting f***ed while we dance;
Look at you—
Check you out—
You've got invisible things and carry [?] things;
Your erotic cabaret is non-stop;
You're wearing too many belts, and I bet they leave welts;
Shut up and dance, 'cause I wanna pop;

I love the dresses, cars, perfumes and jewels;

And I love my sex;
Yeah—

MATT
Do you know—well, of course you do—
what it’s like to stand outside?
To watch the world and wish
you didn’t hurt so much, you cried?
I know I’m not the only one,
and I know I shouldn’t care
but when I feel these things are real
I wish I felt you there!
And if I did, I’d ask you
How come life is so unfair?
PETER
Do you know—well, of course you do—
What it’s like to be afraid?
That nothing will become
of all the plans that you have made?
So I watch the girls surround him
and he says it’s just a game...
I guess that I believe him,
but it hurts me just the same!
And I’m all about this stupid act
So who am I to blame?
BOTH
Are you there? Are you there?
Do you watch me when I cry?
And if it’s in your power,
how can you sit idly by?
I try so hard to please you
but you never seem to see...
MATT
Is it my fate to sit and wait?
PETER
Wonder what my struggle means!
MATT
I wish I knew that someone out there cared...
PETER
Are you there?
BOTH
Cared for me...
MATT
Who’s out there?
PETER
Matt?
MATT
Yeah!
Are you alright?
PETER
I’m fine...
MATT
Here, have some wine—
PETER
This is holy wine!
MATT
The Father hasn’t blessed it yet
PETER
In that case…
MATT
Grab a chalice!
PETER
Thanks.
Life sucks…
MATT
Here, have the rest.
So why’d you leave?
PETER
The party?
MATT
Yeah.
PETER
I was getting kind of bored...
MATT
[Laugh] Oh, me too!
PETER
There’s another reason…
MATT
Yeah?
PETER
It sucks to be ignored...
MATT
I know!
I always fight to do what’s right, and this is my reward...
PETER
This is my reward!
BOTH
Are you there? Are you there?
Can you make some time for me?
They tell me that you’re out there
and they tell me that you see...
I try to find the meaning,
God, you know how hard I’ve tried!
But I don’t know where I’m going
and I don’t have any guide...
MATT
They said things would get better
but I guess…they lied!
PETER
Are you there?
He needs to give me more!
MATT
I’ll drink to that!
PETER
Who cares if people think we’re fine?
We’ve been through this before!
One day he’ll wake up
and realize all he needs is me!
Until then, God, I wish I knew
I need a guarantee!
MATT
I need to know for sure that you’ll be there!
PETER
Send a sign so that I know you’re there!
BOTH
There for me!
PETER
Send a sign so that I know you’re there...
MATT
Send a sign so that I know you’re there...
BOTH
There for me!

Hey Fallen Phoenix... Is that another musical?
Anyway...
The Monkees - Auntie Grizelda
She knows her mind, alright, your Auntie Grizelda
She says she knows my kind, she might, maybe so
Oh, yeah, she's raised you right, your Auntie Grizelda
You only know the things she wants you to know
I know she's having a fit, she doesn't like me a bit
No bird of grace ever lit on Auntie Grizelda
You can't begrudge her style, your Auntie Grizelda
She couldn't budge a smile and do it for free
So righteous, making fudge, your Auntie Grizelda
So proper, judging others over her tea
You look just like her, you do
I know by looking at you
That you've been listening to your Auntie Grizelda
(Lots of strange noises here... no use writing them)
Oh, no, don't look at me like Auntie Grizelda
It takes much more to be someone of your own
You've got to make it free from Auntie Grizelda
Or, just like her, you'll have to make it alone
I know she's having a fit, she doesn't like me a bit
No bird of grace ever lit on Auntie Grizelda
Auntie Grizelda, Auntie Grizelda
Auntie Grizelda...

Is it too much to ask
I want a comfortable bed that won’t hurt my back
Food to fill me up
And warm clothes and all that stuff
Shouldn’t I have this
Shouldn’t I have this
Shouldn’t I have all of this, and
Passionate kisses
Passionate kisses, whoa oh oh
Passionate kisses from you
Is it too much to demand
I want a full house and a rock and roll band
Pens that won’t run out of ink
And cool quiet and time to think
Shouldn’t I have this
Shouldn’t I have this
Shouldn’t I have all of this, and
Passionate kisses
Passionate kisses, whoa oh oh
Passionate kisses from you
Do I want too much
Am I going overboard to want that touch
I shout it out to the night
Give me what I deserve, ’cause it’s my right
Shouldn’t I have this (shouldn’t I)
Shouldn’t I have this (shouldn’t I)
Shouldn’t I have all of this, and
Passionate kisses
Passionate kisses, whoa oh oh
Passionate kisses from you
Passionate kisses
Passionate kisses, whoa oh oh
Passionate kisses from you

Think of me
think of me fondly, when
we've said goodbye
remember me
once in a while, please
promise me you'll try
When you find,
that once again you long
to take your heart back,
and be free
if you ever find a moment,
spare a thought for me
We never said
our love was evergreen
or as unchanging as the sea...
but if you can still remember,
stop and think of me
Think of all the things
we've shared and seen,
don't think about the things
which might have been
Think of me
think of me waking, silent
and resigned...
imagine me, trying too hard to
put you from my mind...
Recall those days,
look back on all those times,
think of the things
we'll never do...
there will never be a day when
I won't think of you
We never said
our love was evergreen
or as unchanging as the sea...
but please promise me,
that sometimes
you will think of me!

To respond to Alana...Bare isn't quite a musical. Kind of in between a musical and an opera, as (like an opera, and unlike a musical) just about everything is song (at one point, they even put Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to song)...
It's a splendid play nonetheless, or so I've heard. I've only listened to the soundtrack (and only partially, at that), so I can't really say for myself...though the idea of the play sounds great, and I'd love to see it one day.

It's another race from outer space;
It's another race from far away;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race away;
It's another race;
It's another race;
They seem to walk on air
And they act really strange;
They live around us
But you can't recognize them;
We can't communicate
With their one-way brain;
No matter how you try
You just can't understand them;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race from far away;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race away;
They seem to walk on air
And they act really strange;
They live around us
But you can't recognize them;
We can't communicate
With their one-way brain;
No matter how you try
You just can't understand them;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race from far away;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race away;
And they think they've got it made—
They're right, but they're wrong;
And they try to use our words
But it's a lie;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race from far away;
It's another race from outer space;
It's another race away;
