I hope you're all still planning to watch SamCha tonight even after that, um, unusual episode last week...Tonight's ep is still off the main storyline (we'll get back to that next week for the awesome 3-part conclusion), but it is the funniest and one of the best episodes in the series. It's hilarious in Japanese and although I'm not sure how certain translation issues will be handled, I think it should turn out well. Enjoy! (I know you'll like this one.)

Even though the director's style of going off constantly track like in Bebop bothers me, some of these episodes turn out to be pretty fun or interesting. I posted in the previous episode's thread late with a link to a site that explains it. Anyways, as for Baseball Blues--hillarious!
I'm excited for the 3-part finale!

That just would have made it all the more better.
That was one of the funniest episodes of anime I've ever seen... outside of Lupin and FLCL of course, but still, pretty damn funny.
They made the Americans look like such bastards that I couldn't help but laugh, the story of how the game actually got started in the first place, and Mugen "paying" for his food and him throwing the ball back at the dude and destroying that lookout post was priceless.
Fuu looked good playing baseball... Anyway, when that guy with the glasses got hit the broken bat and said "I die with no regets.", that got me laughing on my ass. Funny stuff and the ending was good too, having Mugen and the batter throw the bat and baseball directly at each other and making it a last man standing match, with Mugen winning.
Yeah, the dog bit was sad... but so damn amusing at the same time. And even funnier when the squirrel saw that with the bat in its possession and fled as well.
Peace.

That's how Ty Cobb played the game, my friend.

Oh, I didn't mean in the baseball game generally. I meant like overall, like how they kept calling the Japanese "savages" and tried to mock them at every turn that they can muster.
Peace.

By the sound of it they were playing the spiritual predecessors of the Mets.
Heh.

off topic for a second. In Romance of the Three Kingdoms 7 one of the endings is where your said general goes to Japan. I was playing as Sima Yi, and got this line. "I hear the Japanaese are savages, we shall set them straight." that line always cracks me up. ok back on topic, I missed the episode.

The funny thing about the whole savages is that both the europeans/americans and the japanese called each other savages and barbarians too rach others faces and noone seemed too care .
...Can you realy do that with a baseball bat ?
