why so much hate?

Sesshoumaru's mama is non-anime...so you won't have to worry about her coming on your television screen.

Unless they make an OAV to actually conclude the series. Actually, I'd love to hear Sesshoumaru's voice actor (in both Japanese and English) deliver his angst ridden lines of obviousness. Namely

something like "the corpses smell like Rin." or maybe, just maybe, Sesshoumaru, Rin smells like a corpse? You know...cause she is one?

Once Inuyasha is done, it needs to stay done. If they do any OVA is will most likely be a bunch of Filler, much like the movies.
Scourge 08-29-2006 05:35 PM
Inuyasha finish? What an absurd thought.
Ano Hito 08-29-2006 10:29 PM
According to Takahashi/The Antichrist, Inuyasha is slated to end near chapter 500, which really means that she's actually aiming for 1,000.
Scourge 08-29-2006 10:31 PM
I'm looking forward to reading a story with 1,000 chapters and 0 character development

Fear not - in the latest chapter, Takahashi brought Rin back to life (WTF?!) And here I thought we were having character development.

I guess I'll go back to being bored with Inuyasha. The latest arc made me interested again, but it was just a tease.

That was your first mistake. Tongue

But when are they airing these new eight episodes, would anybody know?
Peace.

Yeah she said she was going to wrap it up next year. Although, one can never be too sure. And it seems like Takahashi loves to bring back characters once they have been killed off. Naraku has died what 50 times already?

I watched the latest episode of InuYasha a while ago when it aired (hate me now) and it was basically the same 47 other episodes of Sango and Mirkou's relationship. Insert generic random girl to be a distraction, Sango gets jealous, Inuyasha has no idea what the screw is going on, and Miroku and Sango make up at the end.

That's... that's basically it. Also, the villain was a catfish demon.

Yes, read that again. A catfish demon who couldn't stop crying because the same generic girl wouldn't marry him. Damn it all, you'd think it couldn't get any worse.

Also, are there really around eight more episodes left? I'm just kind of not seeing it and the whole thing being wrapped up as the series is going into more filler mode and the main plot (they got one, right?) is really being touched at the moment. Which isn't a surprise since this is InuYasha after all. We knew what this was.
Peace.

My big complaint is with Sango and Miroku as well, since it's the only part I remotely care about. I think what makes it such a big fiasco is that it could have been something interesting.

I can't wait until that airs, the people who haven't already had it spoiled should have some...yeah, interesting reactions..

edit: Just because I say this every time this show is referenced. They should have just ditched it like 20 episodes in, and made a spin-off entirely about sango killing demons in ways that'd make hellsing look bloodless and tame by comparison.

From what I heard yes, that's all that's left, and it ends in a clifhanger I hear.

That's exactly the reason I refuse to watch this show anymore. I have seen that formula 30 times already...

I actually caught this one, and I must say that all it does is make Sango seem like a petty bitch. OMG a guy who is known to ask every female he meets to have sex with him actually had sex before! Who could have ever guessed! (Of course, in the end it actually turns out that he didn't, negating any character development that could ever have caused.)
R. Daniel Olk 01 10-19-2006 10:28 PM
This is why it doesn't worth a good picking-up in the first place...

DBZ, Naruto, Inuyasha: clang! clang! clang! boom, blam, bang! Plot? Writing? Clang, slash!
Shady Dark Lady 10-19-2006 10:31 PM
Yeah, but the fact he couldn't remember if he DID in fact, sleep with her, kind of tells you that he is indeed, a manwhore Tongue ...

One thing MANY people forget is, that in Japan, there are manga/anime that are specifically targeted to a certain age/sex..When I went to a Japanese book store and bought a Space Cruiser Yamato book (StarBlazers), the guy stared at me VERY funny..My Mom told me it was because a GIRL was buying a book for BOYS!! Things are different in Japan and I know many people have a hard time with anything that isn't "Americanized". I'm not saying that all people do, it's just annoying when a someone says, "I like Inuyasha, but why do the men wear dresses?"...

I do like Inuyasha-especially Sesshomaru/Sango/Rin..I just wish that Sango would finally tell Miroku to it's either Her, or the other women, and if he can't stop his ways, she should go run off with Sesshy Wink ...Besides, Rin could use a female role-model. I think that they also diluted some of Sango's demon-slayer abilities..she was so bad ass when they first introduced her, now she always seems to need Inuyasha or Miroku to help her..

And the "When will they FINALLY get Naraku" annoys me, but so does the fact in many other shows/books that have the villian/villians that NEVER seem to die or get caught. And there is a LOT of character development in Inuyasha, it is VERY subtle, and many people are not used to that. Our American culture is very In-your-face, look how extreme we are.. I used to LOVE horror movies, but now, they seem to have no plot or suspense..Let's just see how gross/bloody we can make it, throw in some special effects, and there you go!
I just think it is rude to harass other anime fans. We should be sticking together, so we can get more anime/manga over here. I don't like Superman, for example, but I don't go on superhero forums and bash everyone who does like him.

True, but the latest one shows the relationship between Kohaku and Sango which was kind of cool. A bit annoying and a tad over the top at times but not a bad look at Sango and Kohaku. Irony is funny at times though.

Also, the previews for the next episode look beyond pathetic (it revolves around Shippo, that's all I'm saying). I still can't believe that the series is ending soon because its just going on and on with these idiotic fillers.

I don't recall that many men in InuYasha wearing dresses. Also, its not the fact that at the end, Naraku doesn't get killed. Its just that for all the bullsh** with him pretty much being killed so many times already and all the underhand schemes that you would think that they would have gotten him at the end. Also, another part of the ending that's whack is that the sacred jewel is completed but no one apparently does anything with it at the end. Kind of makes the 5,000 or so episodes kind of redudant in the long run, don't you think?

Also, true there have been character developements but after that character was actually developed, they stalled and thus cease doing so. You posted that Sango was badass when she first appeared and indeed she was. But over time, her character just stopped advancing with her freaking out about her brother, unable to fight without the others for some moronic reason, and going crazy over Miroku and all these random girls. The same thing with Miroku, Koga, and all the incarinations and even the Band of Seven. After a while, they just stop growing and get stuck in a very dull loop after that. By this point, the one character that is still "fresh" by these standards is Sesshomaru.
Peace.

I only watched Inuyasha for 5 minutes, I think I was waiting for...well I dunno what I was waiting for, it was a while ago.

But anyways yeah, Sango was pretty cool, it's like she didn't belong with those others. I couldn't stand Kagome just from those "sit" commercials.
Nine Kuze 10-20-2006 01:23 AM
Sit commercials? Which ones are you referring to?

I like Kagome but the whole whining about being second place to Kikyo really needs to stop.

Peace.
