Big O Sound Effects Query

I've puzzled over this for long enough. Time to seek a professional opinion.

I'm very curious about the sound effects used on Big O. I can recognize a lot of them from other anime, such as the Chromebuster sound from #3 (Excel Saga), a number of explosion sounds (Excel, Ultimate Muscle), and other sounds such as slashing, crashing and various machine noises.

Now, I've seen the credits of Big O and I noticed a studio called Fizz Sound or some such. But I don't think they made those sounds, unless they've worked on more anime than I've seen, and most of the ones I've seen with those sounds don't have Fizz in their credits.

What I'm curious about is, are those sounds public domain or company stock?
Do they all belong to one big company somewhere, or can anyone use them?

As with every industry in the world, someone owns everything; so all those sounds are likely owned by a media company. They then sell a package to audio firms, who then charge businesses like Sunrise and Bandai to use them. The fact that Fizz (if that is the name) is not listed in the credits of other animes is not a surprise. You should also keep in mind, the companies change their names often, or go out of business, or are bought out. So, that might be a reason you don’t see that name.
