Sorry to start the whole Behemoth/Leviathan thing up again, but I was reading back on that superthread about it, and this was said:
O: Land
Duo: Air
Fau: Water
O: Behemoth (Land best)
Duo: Ziz (air beast)
Fau: Leviathan (water beast)
and after it, this was also said:
There is another religious hymn recited on the festival of Shavuot (celebrating the giving of the Torah), known as Akdamut, wherein it says: "...The sport with the Leviathan and the ox [Behemoth]...When they will interlock with one another and engage in combat, with his horns the Behemoth will gore with strength, the fish [Leviathan] will leap to meet him with his fins, with power. Their Creator will approach them with his mighty sword [and slay them both]."
I think I'm contradicting myself on this one, but doesn't the Behemoth look a lot like an Ox. The two giant drills on the front of it's head, the buried face with the large back neck, the girth, and the legs resemble an Ox a whole lot. And later, this is said:
According to midrash recording traditions, it is impossible for anyone to kill a behemoth except for the person who created it, in this case YHWH. [God]
And then later Venus (Angel=the creator??) destroys everything. But does that mean Big O is the Behemoth? When I think of this situation, I think of it in the catergories: Big O and Religion, then try to match them up. But Big O is lacking in some departments, such as the Sea and Air beasts, and what I've come up with is that, when we think about it, there were only 3 ARCHETYPES (might be wrong here), which are:
Archetype (Underground Terror)
Leviathan (Sand Hands
)
Behemoth (Big Golden Ox)
Then I think that maybe Roger is a ...prophet destroying a false idol, the Golden Ox?
Then where does the Hydra come in? Thinking back to the behemoth itself, Roger was never actually seen destroying it.
Thinking back to that one scene (which I have NO idea what episode it was in), the one where Roger has a memory of this one scene where all these different Medadei are fighting, and the Hydra is fighting, although just a beast itself. The Hydra is frighteningly similar to the description of the Leviathan, which is strange.
I guess I have to disagree with the whole 3 bigs matching up to land, sea, and air because
1. Big O and Big Fau are the only ones to fight and remain in the end, while Big Duo just flies up into a stagelight.
2. In the flyers of the Leviathan and behemoth that Shwartzvald (aw, I can;t spell his name without copying/pasting) dispersed around Paradigm, that old woodcut from long ago in our time, shows only the Leviathan and behemoth, with God pointing at them (creating/destroying/watching them). The roc/ziz (Big Duo) is not shown at all. Does this mean he isn't important, or that maybe he has some directing role in all of this?
And anyways, Big O can't be one of those three because
1. He was the only one remaining with Big Venus
2. He was a good guy (which the Behemoth was NOT)
3. He resolved it in the end, and is also the main actor of the show that is The Big O (Paradigm City)
Thanks for listening to me ramble on like this. Just wanted to get some stuff out, hope someone finds it useful.
P.S. Maybe Paradigm City should have a section all about the giant plot overview. I mean, looking back at these forums, there is some great information here, probably even the truth and final word on that topic in the Big O universe. But since it's in the forums it's all spread out and somewhat dissorganized. just saying a Plot Analysis section would be cool.
